Seeing my status, I put martial training on hold, as I was more excited about something else. Taking the Dead Rising technique out of my pocket, I put it on the ground, fully opening it and reading it. Currently, I am too excited about this technique, because I personally saw the power of that necromancer.
I still remember him, he was the necromancer who started a fight with my father, which ultimately resulted in injuring a disciple of a big shot, who held my father responsible, and currently he is in prison at Mega City, while this necromancer died killed by that same big shot.
But the thing I like most about this necromancer is his power to create an army of undead; this is a power that I personally want to have, as it can certainly save my life in a dire situation. I can already imagine myself fighting a horde of beasts or corrupted creatures with my own horde of undead soldiers.
Thinking about all the things I can do with this technique, I started reading it to know how to start it. The technique itself is something very complicated; it is divided into two parts. First is the Mana training, which is just like martial training. After completing the first stage of this technique, I would create a Mana core inside my body, and after forming a circle of special magic runes around this Mana core, I could reach the first circle mage.
Mages or wizards are just like martial artists, divided into 9 ranks. This technique is really a treasure trove as it has all the information about how to progress until an 8th circle mage, unlike the Basic kick and boxing technique, which can only be practiced till 2nd grade martial artists.
But the second part of this technique made me cautious about it; the first part is just simple Mana training, but the second part is where real necromancy comes. According to this thing, necromancy is a way of defying the rules of the world, in the same way martial artists do the same by gaining strength. But necromancy does something more outrageous: it alters every rule of life and death.
If martial arts and other paths of Mana are like using a fake ID to get inside a safe place, then Necromancy is like breaking into that place through the main door, while making a fake ID may make you enter without any problem, but breathing through the gate will definitely make every authority come to arrest you.
This is the concept of necromancy; once you break the law of life and death, then you will become a criminal for the world itself. And personally, I don't want this; in fact, this technique also had another ominous warning: to make a corpse undead, this technique borrows strength from another dimension, which it calls the outer worlds. Through this outer world or death world, the practitioner brings back the dead to life; this is also the source of the metal corruption users face.
