If floating were limited to just this level, it wouldn't be worthy of a Golden Treasure Chest.
In the Adventures world, the upper limit of a talisman's power depends entirely on the user. And now, after the enhancement from Golden-tier attribute cards, Rowan's physique and mental strength were on a completely different level from ordinary people in that world.
The hexagonal stone in his hand glowed faintly, the rooster-shaped pattern on it flickering with light.
At this moment, the energy within Rowan, the very flow that formed his Haki, was being consumed rapidly.
"Crack."
The force of levitation overpowered the roots gripping the earth, and trees were uprooted one after another.
But even so, Rowan still felt it wasn't enough.
The energy in his body drained even faster, and the range of the Rooster Talisman expanded from the forest to cover the entire island.
"Boom."
In an instant, the entire island trembled and lifted by five centimeters.
Then Rowan stopped.
The glow on the talisman faded, and the island dropped back down by the same amount.
Along the coastline of Shimotsuki Village, waves surged outward. The tremor made everyone think it was an earthquake.
In the forest, the trees, rocks, and soil that had been floating moments ago now lay scattered across the ground.
Dragon, Kuma, and Ginny all stood frozen.
Lifting an entire island was something neither Kuma nor Ginny had ever imagined. Dragon knew of Golden Lion Shiki, but seeing such power displayed through a small stone still shocked him.
Rowan spoke calmly, "The consumption is acceptable, but compared to a fully awakened Float-Float Fruit, this ability is still lacking. That said, using it to move supply ships across Reverse Mountain should be effortless."
Dragon stared at him, stunned. Calling this effortless felt absurd.
Even the World Government feared the Float-Float Fruit, precisely because Shiki had awakened it. As just demonstrated, even an island could be lifted, and if such mass fell from the sky, only top-tier fighters in places like Mary Geoise or Marineford could deal with it.
Dragon let out a breath. "If that's the case, then the West Blue transfer station won't be as necessary anymore. Rem was easy to deal with, and his demands were never high."
Rowan shook his head. "The West Blue station should still be maintained, but the frequency can be reduced. Also, since I can let you use this stone, others could use it too. I'm sure you understand what that implies."
Ginny nodded. "This stone must stay in the hands of people we trust and who have strength. Otherwise, its danger goes far beyond simple levitation."
She continued, "The Flying Nimbus can still be explained using White Sea clouds and modifications, but a stone that lets you float an island just by holding it will definitely attract the attention of the World Government."
Kuma looked at Rowan. "More importantly, your existence, Spark, is the greatest secret of the Revolutionary Army. Your true identity should remain known only to us, even in the future."
Ginny immediately raised her hand. "Agreed."
Dragon nodded as well. "That was my intention from the start. Internally, I will make it clear that Spark's importance to the revolution surpasses even mine as leader."
With a flick of his wrist, Rowan tossed the Rooster Talisman to Dragon.
"Don't overthink it. In all the ideology lessons, I've always said that the revolution must be centered around people. This talisman is important, but what matters more is the people themselves."
He looked at Dragon and continued, "As long as the flame of resistance isn't extinguished, any tool or power can be obtained in the future. But if people are wiped out completely, then no one will remember our ideas or our will."
After a pause, Rowan added, "There's something else. Because of a move I made earlier, getting close to the current head of CP9, I can't stay in Loguetown anymore."
Ginny blinked, then laughed. "You got kicked out? That West Blue base commander is way too petty. Being friendly with the World Government isn't even allowed?"
Rowan waved his hand. "Not exactly. The commander of the West Blue 80th Branch, Captain Lomi, is someone I believe could become a potential member of the Revolutionary Army in the future."
He continued, "The reason I'm leaving is because the head of CP9, Spandine, recommended me to go to Marine Headquarters for advanced training. The merit used was the incident where Kuzan 'leaked' the information."
Rowan placed a hand on his mask, clearly annoyed.
He had carefully hidden everything, but Spandine, trying to show off, ended up throwing the blame right back onto the Marines, and now Rowan had to carry that burden straight to Marineford.
Being targeted there would be inevitable.
Ginny burst out laughing. "It's fine, it's fine. Maybe in a few years you'll become Fleet Admiral. Then we can visit Marineford as guests, hahaha."
Even she didn't believe it.
Kuma gently patted her, then asked Rowan, "If that's the case, then the method of obtaining these abilities by executing evil individuals will now rely solely on the Revolutionary Army, correct?"
Rowan nodded. "That's right. The Flying Nimbus, the Rooster Talisman, and even my Flying Thunder God technique all come from this."
He continued, "In the future, arming the high-level forces of the Revolutionary Army, and even resisting the World Government, many plans depend on this. So from now on, the standard for what we consider 'truly evil' needs to be lowered slightly."
Dragon replied seriously, "Understood. I'll implement it on my side. We can also shorten the intervals between executions, and communication will mainly go through Kuma."
"No," Rowan said, shaking his head. "Communication should go through Ginny. Compared to you, Kuma, or Ivankov, she's the one I'm least confident about when facing strong enemies. If communication becomes more frequent, I can keep a closer watch on her."
Kuma paused slightly at that.
Clearly, there were still things from the God Valley incident that Rowan didn't know.
