"Let me go," Ah Yin said hoarsely. "If you force me… I would rather die."
Bai Mu paused, then let out a soft laugh.
"You're all the same," he said calmly. "Why do you always push things to extremes?"
He shook his head lightly.
"Relax. With your mastery of the Blue Silver Domain, death isn't something that can truly claim you. And even if it could—" he added indifferently, "—I have ways to bring you back."
Ah Yin's heart sank.
The pressure from Bai Mu and Zygarde locked her in place. No matter how she struggled, her body refused to respond.
"Don't be nervous," Bai Mu continued in a mild tone. "I just want to talk."
He took a step back, giving her space.
"Let's talk about Little San."
At the mention of her son, Ah Yin's body trembled.
"He's doing well," Bai Mu said slowly. "Better than most of his peers. His cultivation has been progressing steadily, and he's already earned recognition at the academy."
Ah Yin clenched her fists.
Relief. Pride. Longing.
And beneath it all—fear.
Because she understood what those words truly meant.
"His Blue Silver Grass hasn't awakened yet," Bai Mu went on, "but even so, his talent is remarkable. His eyes, his persistence… he takes after you."
Tears slid silently down Ah Yin's cheeks.
"Madam," Bai Mu said quietly, finally looking straight at her, "you wouldn't want Little San to be dragged into conflict, would you?"
His voice was gentle—too gentle.
"You wouldn't want him to suffer because of misunderstandings between us."
Ah Yin closed her eyes.
The last of her resistance drained away.
For her son's future, for his peace—she could endure this.
Bai Mu studied her expression, then nodded in apparent satisfaction.
"That's better."
What followed was left unspoken.
Several days passed.
When everything finally settled, Ah Yin lay quietly, her strength barely restored. Bai Mu sat beside her, speaking in a calm, almost considerate tone.
"Stop crying," he said. "This will help you recover."
He placed a stalk of jet-black bamboo into her hand. Though dark as ink, it gleamed faintly like jade.
"Ink Jade Divine Bamboo," he explained. "It enhances the resilience of plant-type beings. Refine it properly—it will benefit you."
Ah Yin did not respond.
Bai Mu did not press her further.
"I'm taking you home," he said simply.
—
Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.
When Bai Mu returned to the valley, Xiao Wu was sitting by the medicinal fields, lost in thought.
She froze when she saw him gently supporting an unfamiliar blue-haired woman.
And then she sensed it—
That familiar aura.
"This is…" Xiao Wu whispered.
"Your Third Brother's mother," Bai Mu replied casually. "Ah Yin."
Xiao Wu stood there, stunned.
Ah Yin's disheveled appearance, her tired eyes, her hollow expression—
Xiao Wu understood immediately.
So it wasn't just her.
Even Brother San's mother…
Fear, despair, shame—and a trace of helpless sympathy welled up in her chest.
—
Inside the wooden house.
Bai Mu settled Ah Yin on the bed and left briefly. When he returned, Xiao Wu and Meng Yiran were with him.
"Come," he said. "Let's get acquainted."
He gestured to Ah Yin.
"This is Ah Yin, the Blue Silver Emperor. From now on, she'll be staying here."
Then to the others:
"Xiao Wu. Meng Yiran. Get along well."
The three women exchanged looks, the atmosphere heavy and restrained.
Ah Yin looked at Xiao Wu—the girl her son cherished.
Xiao Wu looked back—the mother Tang San had never met.
Meng Yiran was the first to step forward, breaking the silence with a forced smile.
"Hello, Sister Ah Yin. I'm Meng Yiran. We'll… be together from now on."
Together.
That single word made Ah Yin's body tremble.
Bai Mu sat down beside her and spoke lightly.
"That's right. A family."
He smiled.
"It's better when it's lively."
Xiao Wu leaned back silently, already used to such scenes.
Ah Yin remained stiff, unsure how to respond.
"Don't worry," Bai Mu said softly. "It's always hard at the beginning. You'll adapt."
Ah Yin closed her eyes.
Tears slipped down her cheeks.
She didn't know how long these days would last.
She only knew that—for Little San's sake—
She would endure.
