After receiving news that the Red-Haired Pirates were heading their way—
Kaido, seated on his throne aboard the flagship, tilted his head up and roared toward the floating Flower Capital above:
"Hey! Shanks is heading this way!"
The nearby seagulls scattered in fright.

He picked it up. The snail mimicked Xia Te's calm expression:
"I know. Stick to the plan. You attack from the front—I'll flank them from behind."

The call ended.
Immediately after, the Flower Capital floating above the Beasts Pirates' fleet began to rise rapidly, soon disappearing into the clouds.
"Kaido-sama… do you think that guy might just run away using this chance?"
Jack, still bearing the scar left by Shiryu, frowned as he asked.
"Tch! If he dares to run—once this is over, I'll chase him to the ends of the earth and kill him!"
Kaido snorted, gulping down more alcohol.
It wasn't that he hadn't considered the possibility.
After all, back when the Golden Lion Shiki stood alongside Whitebeard and Roger as one of the three great pirates—
his Float-Float Fruit made him nearly impossible to chase.
If Xia Te chose to flee—
no one could catch him.
But this opportunity…

Chaos erupted aboard the ships as crew members scrambled with telescopes.

Kaido's expression changed.
"Below!!!"
But it was already too late.
BOOM!
A violent impact came from beneath the ship.
The flagship lurched forward, water flooding in as it began to sink.
The next moment—
a ship coated in bubble film burst up from beneath the sea.
A red, triple-masted ship with a twin-dragon prow—
the Red Force of the Red-Haired Pirates!
And standing there—
sniper Yasopp, rifle on his shoulder, smirking mockingly.
So it really did come from the sea.
"Governor Kaido! The hull's been breached!"
"It can't be repaired in time!"
"Evacuate immediately!"
Panic spread across the flagship.
"Damn it!"
Kaido hadn't even started the war—
and he'd already been played by Shanks, losing a ship.
Fury erupted.
Gripping his kanabo, he leapt straight toward the Red Force.
"Shanks! Come out and die!!!"
His roar echoed as his club came crashing down—
enough force to shatter the entire ship.
But in the next instant—
a figure flashed forward.
A blade cut through the air—
meeting Kaido's kanabo head-on.
The sea itself trembled.
