Chapter 54:
"Iruka-sensei, I knew you were the best!"
Naruto excitedly reached out and hugged Iruka. Tears instantly fell as he cried noisily. The sight made Sasuke tighten his fingers beside them.
It clearly wasn't Iruka who had done those things, yet this bastard Naruto could still act so convincingly!
"Go back to the classroom first. Class is about to start…"
Iruka patted Naruto on the head. He still felt uncomfortable with Naruto's long hair, but since Naruto insisted on keeping it long, as the teacher he couldn't force him to cut it.
He had even talked to Sasuke about it before, asking him to persuade Naruto. But Sasuke had said it was because of his own request that Naruto had grown it out…
These two kids really never let anyone relax…
"Thank you, Iruka-sensei. Naruto, you idiot, stop crying. If you dare wipe your snot on me, I'll beat you up right now…"
Sasuke grabbed Naruto by the collar, thanked Iruka, and dragged him toward the classroom.
Along the way, Naruto kept shouting and making a fuss, but Iruka watched the two figures and smiled.
"Sasuke, you're too mean…"
Naruto was dragged into the classroom with a pitiful look. Amid the loud laughter of the whole class, he reached his seat and sat down.
"Shut up!"
Sasuke put the wallet away safely, glared at Naruto, then quickly looked away.
This guy really had zero sense of image…
Though to be fair, Naruto had never had any image in school to begin with.
"Naruto, you still won't admit it? You clearly look like Sasuke's little wife!"
Inuzuka Kiba sat on the other side. Seeing Naruto's pitiful yet obedient expression, he slapped the desk and burst out laughing.
Moreover, he remembered what Shikamaru had said yesterday.

It really did look the part!
"If you could turn into a girl, I could marry you."
Just when everyone thought Sasuke would get angry or simply ignore them, Sasuke unexpectedly spoke with a slight smile.
And with just one sentence, he shattered the hearts of half the girls in the classroom.
"Y-you… you you you…"
Naruto hadn't expected Sasuke to say that. He jumped up from his seat and backed away, pointing at Sasuke with a trembling finger, but no other words came out.
"Naruto, you can still use the Transformation Technique. Even if you turn into an ugly girl, just transform and show Sasuke. I guarantee it'll piss him off!"
Shikamaru quietly gave Naruto advice from the side.
The situation was clear — Sasuke was deliberately trying to embarrass Naruto.
So Naruto just needed to counterattack. It was just a game. Whoever got embarrassed first would lose.
"Will that work?"
Naruto looked down at Shikamaru with a conflicted expression.
"It will. Go for it, Naruto!"
Choji cheered while still munching on potato chips.
Shikamaru, Kiba, and the others quietly gave him a thumbs-up in support. Even the usually low-profile Aburame Shino joined in with the same gesture.
"Fine! It's just turning into a girl, right? Sasuke, just you wait. I…"
With half the class cheering him on, Naruto looked around and even saw the conflicted eyes of Hyuga Hinata, as well as the furious faces of Sakura and Ino.
He had already said this much. If he backed down now, he wouldn't be Uzumaki Naruto!
