"Look at yourself," Gavriel's magnetic, commanding voice echoed low and dark against her ear.
A sudden shiver shot down her spine, and her whole body stiffened. Turning her head slightly, she searched his features, only to find not a single trace of humour in his expression.
Instead, he looked her straight in the eyes before placing his large, warm hands on either side of her head, gently turning her face back toward the mirror.
Instinctively, Aliana squeezed her eyes shut, her pulse hammering wildly in her throat.
"Gav," her voice came out slightly ragged, her breathing hitching at his action.
Her hands flew to the edge of the counter, her knuckles turning white as she gripped the cold marble. "I can't..."
She felt his hot breath trace a path along her jawline as his lips brushed her skin, murmuring, "Listen to me, Ana. I want you to see just how beautiful you are..."
