Releasing an exasperated sigh, she turned around to glare at him. "I am only going to check if they are okay since it has been almost half an hour. The guests are gossiping."
"Well, half an hour is nothing when it comes to passionate lovers. Especially two who are getting married tomorrow," Cillian replied, raising a brow at the heavy implications behind his words.
Jade's cheeks flushed at the thought before she pursed her lips. "I was not planning to just march in, you know. I was only going to check from outside, maybe."
Cillian scoffed. "It is still a mistake to even do that. Trust me, I know Gavriel, and he would not appreciate any interruptions."
"Like I said, I have no intention of interrupting," Jade mumbled under her breath before releasing another sigh. "Look, I'm just worried, okay? Aliana did not look right earlier. Not to mention she has been unusually quiet ever since I saw her this evening. Like... like something has been eating away at her."
