Miranda gave Felicia a push. "Alright, go get your flowers already. Don't keep your admirer waiting!"
Then she leaned in and added in a low voice, "Not gonna lie—the guy delivering them is seriously handsome. Suit and all. Definitely rich."
That made Felicia's heart stir.
If this really is some wealthy heir… maybe I should leave him my contact.
After all, once I entered the entertainment industry, I'd need people willing to spend money on me.
With that thought, she allowed herself to be nudged forward by Miranda and the others.
The man holding the bouquet looked slightly confused when several students suddenly appeared in front of him. "Excuse me… which one of you is Miss Cole?"
Celeste nudged Felicia. "See? I told you it's for you. What are you waiting for? Take it!"
Miranda eyed the bouquet in the man's hands, envy flashing across her face. "Those are baby's breaths, right? They're gorgeous!"
Hearing that, Felicia glanced at the flowers.
Tiny white blossoms clustered together like a soft cloud, their delicate petals catching the light, giving the bouquet an airy, almost weightless beauty.
A flicker of delight passed through her eyes.
The bouquet was clearly carefully arranged—and expensive. She even spotted a small gift box wrapped in gold thread tucked inside.
Could it be… a ring?
Felicia's heart began to pound.
On the surface, she kept her smile gentle and composed as she reached out to accept the bouquet. "Thank you for the flowers. I'll take them. I'm the Miss Cole you're looking for—please pass along my thanks to the sender."
The man looked down at her, frowning slightly. He didn't move.
She didn't look like the Miss Cole in the photo.
Miranda frowned at his hesitation. "What are you waiting for? Give it to Felicia already!"
The man's brows furrowed. "Let me confirm again."
This bouquet had been air-shipped from overseas just an hour ago. It was incredibly valuable—if he gave it to the wrong person, he'd be in serious trouble.
He pulled out his phone, opened the photo his boss had sent him, and compared it carefully.
Then he shook his head decisively.
"This isn't for you. Sorry. The Miss Cole I'm looking for is someone else."
As he lifted his head, his gaze landed on someone behind them—
A girl holding a stuffed bunny.
His eyes lit up instantly.
Carrying the bouquet, he walked straight past Felicia and her group, stopping in front of Riley.
"Excuse me—are you Miss Cole? Hello, these flowers are from my boss. They were just flown in from overseas an hour ago!"
"What?! They're for Riley?!" Miranda shrieked.
Felicia's nails dug into her palms as she watched, her expression darkening.
Riley stood there, slightly stunned, as the bouquet was pushed into her arms. "...Your boss is?"
The man leaned in, lowering his voice mysteriously. "My boss's last name is Yates. You get it now, right?"
He straightened with a smug look.
Impressed yet? My boss is making a move on you!
After years of working under Mr Yates, this was the first time I had seen him go after someone—let alone a young university student.
But that was fine.
As his most capable subordinate, it is my duty to help make it happen.
Honestly, from the moment he showed up here with the bouquet, Eamon Stokes had figured it out.
Mr Yates must have transferred me back to the capital specifically because of my brilliant mind.
Sure, the task might seem beneath my talents—but what can I do? I am simply too indispensable.
Eamon leaned closer to Riley. "Well? Aren't you touched?"
Touched my foot!
Feeling the strange—and increasingly jealous—stares from all around, Riley wished she could disappear into the ground.
