"I'll be in my room," Cassia said, shoving Jeric's hand off of her shoulder as they entered the palace. "It hurts to say, but at least the domain can return partially back to normal." She began her walk up the stairs, stopping and turning back toward the Duke. "See you tomorrow?"
"Of course, Cassia. Get some rest," Jeric replied, his voice soft and somber. "If you need time,"
"No! I've waited long enough. I cannot very well sit in my room moping about my traitor brother when I'm expected to become the Duchess, now can I?" Finishing her point, she walked up the stairs, leaving Jeric behind with his men.
