"It worked... We're connected." Rayleigh's voice weak and strained echoed.
Tenteikūra was a Kidō that could capture locations and communicate through spiritual pressure.
At that moment, everyone in the city whose spiritual pressure had been captured was drawn into the network.
They were confused as they scratched their heads.
'Is this the will of God?!'
'No.'
'This will lacks that vast, divine majesty of the Gods.'
'We're connected?'
'What does this mean?'
Everyone's minds reeled in confusion.
Suddenly, a familiar voice rang out, entering the minds of Adventurers across various Familias.
"I am Ganesha! Ganessssha! My people, listen closely! The Evilus are ravaging this city! Obey my command...!"
Within the Ganesha Familia, everyone listened in stunned silence.
'Our God is speaking to us?'
'How is this possible?'
'Didn't he go to the meeting?'
"Loki Familia, heed my words. This is Finn. Follow my instructions and proceed to..."
At the top of the Tower of Babel, a Goddess heard the voice in her mind.
She lazily lifted her face, her gaze piercing through the walls to survey the city. Even the ancient God Ouranos, deep underground, heard the voice.
Orario erupted into action as every Familias members mobilized en masse!
Seeing Rayleigh covered in blood, Hephaestus rushed to his side.
"Rayleigh, are you alright?"
"My limit... I've reached it."
Zzzzz—
The Kidō shattered.
Rayleigh lost consciousness and collapsed.
Goddess Astraea reacted swiftly, catching him before he hit the ground.
She sat down and cradled the youth's head in her lap.
Hephaestus breathed a sigh of relief but felt a strange sensation.
Astraea had reacted faster than her.
And she was giving Rayleigh a lap pillow. Had she ever done such a thing for anyone before?
Definitely not.
Riveria examined his condition and frowned.
"This is too reckless. These are symptoms of severe Mind exhaustion. Absorbing too much Mind has caused considerable damage to his internal tissues."
"How can we heal him?" Hephaestus asked.
Riveria shook her head. "The residual Mind in his body has turned toxic. Potions won't work, there's no Elixir for this."
"Then what should we do?" Hephaestus grew agitated.
Riveria reassured her, "Don't worry. Clearing the residual Mind will take time. For now, just let him rest."
"Alright, thank you."
"I haven't helped much. Besides, Rayleigh has made immense contributions to this city."
"But was the information transmitted?" a God asked.
"Is that even a question?" Loki interjected. "Just look out the window."
She pointed ou and the group immediately gathered at the window as a breathtaking scene unfolded.
On the streets below, Adventurers moved in winding lines, weaving through the city in coordinated groups.
From Babel, the entire city seemed to come alive!
...
Third Warehouse.
Kaguya, who had been slaughtering the Evilus reinforcements, stopped.
Her expression darkened as she turned to face a woman who had appeared on the battlefield.
The woman had short, disheveled dark pink hair and a ferocious expression.
Her attire was bizarre: a ripped top exposed her abdomen beneath a coat with a fluffy trim.
"Valetta-sama!"
"Valetta-sama is here!"
"Wonderful!"
Her appearance sent the Evilus' morale soaring.
Kaguya eyed her warily, not daring to let her guard down.
From her aura alone, she could tell this woman was dangerous!
'This woman!'
'She's strong!'
Valetta ignored the clamor around her and turned to Kaguya. "Hey, which Familia do you belong to?"
"The Astraea Familia!"
"Huh?"
Valetta's eyes widened in surprise.
"The Astraea Familia? Tch, so it's you guys. Always babbling about justice this and justice that, you annoying trash!"
Clack.
Kaguya's pupils contracted as she gripped Katen Kyōkotsu tightly. Though furious, she didn't lose her composure or charge blindly.
"Take that back you scum!"
But someone had been provoked.
Ryuu gritted her teeth and glared at Valetta. "Take back those insults to the Astraea Familia! You heretic!"
Valetta's brow furrowed, her gaze shifting to Ryuu.
Her lips curled into a manic grin.
"Then make me! You piece of trash!"
Valetta shouted, her body exploding forward with terrifying speed.
In an instant, she materialized before Ryuu!
Ryuu was stunned by the velocity.
She leaned back, her agile body instinctively dodging Valetta's whip kick. But before she could recover, Valetta withdrew her attack and moved to her side.
Clenching her fist, she delivered a brutal elbow strike to Ryuu's abdomen, sending her crashing down.
Crack!
The ground splintered beneath her.
Ryuu coughed up blood, suffering severe injuries from the attack.
"RYUU!"
Seeing Ryuu fall, Kaguya rushed to her side. She couldn't stand by and watch her be taken down!
Whoosh!
Katen Kyōkotsu immediately unleashed a flurry of strikes.
Valetta effortlessly saw through the blade's path, dodging every attack without a thread of her clothes being grazed.
"So fast!"
Kaguya continued her pursuit for a moment before retreating and helping Ryuu to her feet.
Valetta grew annoyed by Kaguya's actions. "Huh? Are you looking down on me, you piece of trash?!"
She stomped on the ground, shattering it, and charged between them.
"If I wanted to kill either of you, do you think you could resist me? Don't get cocky!"
Boom!
Valetta's punch struck the air with a deafening crack.
Ryuu stared at the fist looming before her, yet her face remained calm.
Just as she was about to be struck, her body shifted sideways.
Valetta's fist missed its mark, and a flicker of surprise crossed her face.
Seizing the opportunity, Kaguya aimed for Valetta's shadow and thrust her blades three times.
Pierce!
The blades pierced through Valetta's foot!
Despite her foot being impaled, she didn't cry out in pain.
Instead, she yanked her foot free, ignoring the wound.
Turning to Kaguya, she snarled, "Trash, did you do this?"
Even Kaguya who usually composed, felt her anger rising after being repeatedly called "trash."
Yet Ryuu, standing beside her, became cautious.
"Kaguya, be careful! This person is a First-Class Adventurer, probably a Level 5!"
Kaguya was speechless.
For some reason, the usually reckless stupid Elf she always had to clean up after had become competent!
This should be a good thing.
It should be a good thing.
Even so... being lectured by this useless Elf somehow made her even angrier!
