Jack sat in the nearby chair and thought to himself.
Is it really this simple to meet her? After all, the post of chief detective in this agency is second only to the director of the agency; this whole investigation department was under her control.
He thought it would take some time and effort to meet her, but his goal was about to be easily achieved. Jack felt relieved inside.
The officer who just ran inside returned immediately. "What took you so long? Everyone was waiting for you." He held my hand and started to walk across the many work tables and reached the main room where the chief detective's office was located.
The officer who held my hand and walked me here patted my shoulders and said,
"You can go inside,"
with a teasing smile on his face. While Jack watched silently everything happening, he didn't react to anything.
But inside his mind, what the hell is this person doing? Why was he acting so friendly with me? There must be some misunderstanding going on.
Even though this is a misunderstanding, Jack didn't care. He opened the door and entered inside.
Inside was a spacious room. There were lots of medals and pictures of our country's national leaders hung on the wall.
And a big table, and a lot of files were stacked there and arranged in neat order. Jack finally looked at the figure who was sitting behind the files.
There sat an Asian cold beauty wearing the official chief detective uniform, looking at him with a cold gaze.
After the experience with Lara last time, this time he lowered his expectations about meeting beautiful women everywhere. He didn't expect that Alice would be a great beauty like this. My heart felt like it was about to leap out from my body from the excitement.
He also let out a sigh of relief. His next suitable target had arrived. If I could make her fall in love with me and loyal to me, then my influence will increase in the town with her backing.

At first, she sabotaged all the dates, threatened the men who came to see me, and made them run away. It made her uncle extremely upset. He was always putting on an angry face and not speaking to me these days.
This time, she decided to go for a date just to satisfy him. As she thought it was just eating food in the restaurant, so nothing would go wrong.

"Okay, we will leave in two hours from now."

Alice looked at him and said,
"Can you wait outside? I will come to you after two hours."
Jack, who had decided to wait inside her office for two hours to make her affected by the pink mist in that closed-door circumstance quickly, saw that plan ruined by Alice immediately.
Jack didn't object to her and said,
"Then I will wait for you outside."

He came outside from her office, went to the waiting room near the office, and sat on the sofa.

Jack looked at them and didn't say anything, just smiled politely and nodded at them.

They started to discuss among themselves. Jack looked at these three people and thought I'm just sitting here, why are these people gossiping about me right in front of me?
After some time, they finished their discussion and walked away from the waiting room. The previous officer, before closing the door, said,
"Good luck for the date, man. Bye."
As he was saying this, the other two gave mocking laughs. Seeing these people's mockery, Jack didn't mind them.
Because their boss soon will become one of his women. If given the chance, I will taste this cold Asian beauty tonight.
