Chapter 26 - "The Dragon Talisman & the Angelic Admin."

-----

-----

[Ding! A purple/gold-quality random draw ticket has been used. Drawing a rare item from across the multiverse…]

A crisp notification rang out as the virtual roulette wheel in Lucian's mind began spinning wildly.

This time, there were none of the usual white, green, or blue "filler" tiers. The pointer flickered violently over the purple section for a moment—then suddenly leapt past it, landing squarely in the very top tier.

Boom!

A burst of dazzling golden light—far brighter than when he'd drawn the Taoist compendium—exploded in his consciousness, almost tangible in its intensity.

[Congratulations to the group owner "Part-Time Ghost-Hunting Genius Teacher"! Highest-tier probability triggered! You have obtained a golden legendary item—[Dragon Talisman]!]

"Dragon Talisman?!"

Lucian froze.

As a transmigrator, he knew exactly how insane this thing was.

It came straight from Jackie Chan Adventures—one of the twelve zodiac talismans infused with the Fire Demon, Shendu's, original power. It represented pure, overwhelming force: explosion and flame.

[Item Description: Dragon Talisman (Gold Quality). Upon fusion, the host can freely unleash devastating high-temperature explosive flames. These flames possess not only overwhelming physical destructive power, but also naturally suppress all evil and ghostly entities.]

[Ding! Fuse now?]

Lucian didn't hesitate.

The moment he confirmed, an octagonal stone engraved with an ancient dragon totem materialized out of thin air. It turned into a streak of blazing red light and shot straight into his arm.

In an instant, a surge of wild—yet perfectly controlled—heat coursed through his body, flowing along his meridians.

With a single thought, he could unleash a blast of fire from his fingertips powerful enough to reduce the entire office to rubble.

"Perfect."

Lucian clenched his fist, satisfied.

With Absolute Frost Control and his powerful succubus guardian spirit, Himan, his overall strength was already terrifying.

Now, with the Dragon Talisman, he had finally filled the gap he'd been lacking—raw, explosive offensive power when he wasn't summoning his guardian spirit.

From now on, no matter how troublesome a ghost he ran into, he could just blast it away.

After all, every fear comes from insufficient firepower.

After finishing the draw, Lucian didn't exit the system.

He glanced at his abundant group points and decisively opened the Multiverse Shop.

Earlier, he'd drawn a gold-quality True Explanation of Taoist Talisman Diagrams.

It contained countless intricate methods for drawing talismans—the most orthodox tools of a ghost hunter.

Of course, making talismans required proper materials. You could buy them in the real world, but they were absurdly expensive.

"Search: talisman materials."

After a quick browse, he spent a modest amount of points to purchase a Spirit Brush made from century-old lightning-struck wood, top-grade consecrated cinnabar, and high-quality talisman paper infused with spiritual energy.

"With these, I can start studying that book tonight. I should stock up on talismans—good for protection, or even selling for cash. Never hurts to be prepared."

After storing everything neatly in his system space, Lucian turned his attention back to the chat group interface.

As the newly appointed group owner, he still had three crucial admin slots available.

Being the laid-back type, he figured it was better to appoint someone and let them handle things while he kicked back.

"Esdeath's too bloodthirsty. Rin would let it go straight to her head. The two newcomers still need time to adjust…"

After a brief moment of thought, his gaze settled on the half-elf girl who had been patiently guiding newcomers and smoothing things over—kind as an angel.

"Alright. It's you."

With a thought, Lucian opened Emilia's profile and confirmed the "Appoint as Admin" option.

[Ding! Group Announcement!]

[The group owner "Part-Time Ghost-Hunting Genius Teacher" has officially appointed member "Half-Elf of the Frozen Forest" as the group's first administrator!]

[Admin privileges activated: Daily sign-in points increased to 3. Can delete inappropriate messages and assist the owner in maintaining order.]

The announcement instantly stirred the entire chat group.

Meanwhile, in another world, Emilia—who had been sitting under a large tree chatting with minor spirits—froze as she saw the sudden notification. Her beautiful violet-blue eyes widened in shock.

[Half-Elf of the Frozen Forest]: "Eh?! Ehh?! A-admin?! Why me? Group Leader, I'm only rated LV.3… I'm not qualified for something like this! What if I mess it up…"

She was clearly flustered by the sudden "promotion," her tone filled with both surprise and self-doubt.

[Part-Time Ghost-Hunting Genius Teacher]: "Strength isn't the only measure of worth. When the newcomers joined, you were the one guiding them patiently. You deserve this position. I'll be counting on you to help manage things from now on."

Hearing such sincere praise and trust from the seemingly all-powerful group leader, Emilia's eyes reddened slightly, and a warmth she had never felt before filled her chest.

In her world, because she resembled the legendary Witch of Envy, she had been feared, rejected, and ostracized her entire life. Aside from Puck, no one had ever trusted her like this—let alone entrusted her with managing something as miraculous as a place connecting countless worlds.

[Half-Elf of the Frozen Forest]: "Group Leader… thank you so much for trusting me! I'll do my best! I won't let you down!"

Seeing her brimming with determination, the rest of the group chimed in with congratulations.

[The Smiling Flower Pillar]: "Congratulations, Miss Emilia. You were a huge help earlier with your explanations. You're really kind—this role suits you perfectly."

[The Elf Who Loves Collecting Magic]: "Mm, Emilia is a good girl. Congrats."

[The Elegant Gem Mage]: "Ugh… I wanted to be an admin too, but honestly, Emilia's personality fits better than mine. Damn it! Three sign-in points a day… I'm so jealous!"

With a reliable admin keeping an eye on the group, Lucian could relax even more and enjoy his carefree, hands-off lifestyle.

Just as he was about to close the interface and take a break, the office door opened again.

Lucian snapped out of his thoughts and sat up straight.

Shizuka Hiratsuka walked in, raised an eyebrow at him, and smirked. "Yo, Teacher Lucian. All done? You look pretty relaxed—nothing going on?"

"Yeah, I'm free."

She stepped closer and casually tossed a stack of classroom observation sheets onto his desk, a playful glint in her eyes.

"In that case, want to sit in on a class with me?"

"Sit in?" Lucian blinked. "Whose class?"

"The new music teacher."

Crossing her arms, Hiratsuka explained, "At Sobu High, new teachers have to go through peer observation evaluations. You're new too, so it wouldn't hurt to learn from her teaching style."

"Besides…" she added with a teasing smile, "I heard she's a real beauty. Graceful, elegant—the perfect Yamato Nadeshiko. Her popularity with students might even rival yours."

Hearing that description, Lucian's heart skipped a beat. A familiar name flashed through his mind.

"Yamato Nadeshiko? Music teacher? Teacher Hiratsuka… what's her name?"

"Sawako Yamanaka."

"....."
