The Child of the Star
The explorers stood silently around the glowing stone in the Northern Forest. A soft humming sound filled the air, and the thin crack along the surface of the stone slowly widened. Gentle rays of silver light escaped from inside, shining upward like a small beacon.
The prince held the Crystal of Balance close to his chest. Its golden light flickered calmly, as if it were not afraid but curious.
"Stay back," the king said carefully, raising one hand to signal the guards.
Everyone stepped a few paces away, watching the mysterious stone with wide eyes. The forest around them became very quiet. Even the birds stopped singing, as if they were waiting for something important to happen.
Suddenly, the crack opened completely.
With a soft sound—almost like a whisper—the top of the stone slowly separated into two halves. A bright flash of silver light filled the clearing, forcing everyone to shield their eyes.
When the light faded, the explorers gasped in surprise.
Inside the opened stone, lying gently on a bed of soft glowing mist, was a small child.
The child looked about six or seven years old. Their hair shimmered like moonlight, and their clothes glowed faintly with tiny star-shaped patterns. The child was breathing peacefully, as if sleeping.
The prince stared in amazement.
"It's… a child," he whispered.
The king stepped forward slowly, his voice calm but filled with wonder.
"How can this be?" he asked.
One of the scientists carefully examined the opened stone.
"This appears to be a protective shell," she explained softly.
"Almost like a cocoon, designed to carry and protect the child during the journey through space."
The group exchanged surprised looks.
At that moment, the child's eyes slowly opened.
They were bright and clear, shining with a soft silver glow. The child looked around curiously, noticing the trees, the sky, and the people standing nearby.
For a moment, no one spoke.
Then the child sat up gently and smiled.
"Hello," the child said in a calm, gentle voice.
The explorers felt both relief and curiosity.
The prince stepped forward slowly, kneeling to be at the child's level.
"Hello," he replied kindly.
"Do you know where you came from?"
The child tilted their head slightly, thinking.
"From the stars," they answered simply.
A quiet murmur spread through the group.
The king exchanged a thoughtful glance with the scientists. The Crystal of Balance began glowing brighter, as if recognizing the child's presence.
Suddenly, a warm breeze moved through the forest. Leaves rustled softly, and the sunlight filtering through the trees seemed to grow brighter.
The child looked up at the sky and stretched their small hands.
Tiny sparks of light appeared around their fingers, floating gently in the air like fireflies.
The scientists watched in amazement.
"This child may have a special connection to natural energy," one of them said.
The king nodded slowly.
"We must protect this child and learn their story," he said firmly.
The prince offered his hand.
"Would you like to come with us to our home?" he asked gently.
The child looked at him with trusting eyes and nodded.
The explorers carefully wrapped the child in a warm cloak and began the journey back to the capital city. Along the way, the prince stayed close, talking to the child and helping them feel safe.
As they traveled through the forest, something remarkable happened.
Wherever the child walked, the plants seemed to grow greener. Flowers opened their petals, and birds began singing again. The forest felt more alive than ever before.
The prince noticed this and smiled.
"You bring life wherever you go," he said.
The child smiled back but did not fully understand.
When they finally reached the palace, the two queens hurried outside to greet them. They looked surprised to see the glowing child but welcomed them with kindness.
"You must be tired after your long journey," one queen said gently.
The child nodded and looked around at the tall palace walls, shining windows, and colorful gardens. Everything felt new and exciting.
The king gathered the council that evening to discuss what they had discovered.
Scientists, advisers, and leaders listened carefully as the explorers described the events in the forest.
After hearing the story, the royal historian spoke thoughtfully.
"There are ancient legends," he said,
"about children of the stars—beings sent to guide worlds during times of great change."
The room grew quiet.
The prince looked at the child, who was now sitting peacefully near the window, watching the stars appear in the night sky.
At that moment, the Crystal of Balance suddenly shone with a brilliant golden light. New symbols appeared on its surface, glowing brighter than ever before.
Everyone turned to look.
The historian stepped closer and studied the symbols carefully.
"These markings represent hope, guidance, and renewal," he said.
The king felt a deep sense of responsibility.
"Then this child may be part of our future," he said quietly.
Later that night, the prince stood on the palace balcony beside the child. The sky above was filled with thousands of sparkling stars.
The child pointed upward at the brightest one.
"Home," they said softly.
The prince followed their gaze and felt a mixture of wonder and determination.
He realized that the arrival of this mysterious child was not the end of their journey—it was the beginning of a new chapter filled with discovery, friendship, and responsibility.
Far away in the hidden city of Lumina, the Guardian watched the shining star in the sky and whispered gently,
