Chapter 95 - Jujutsu Lynn Arrives

"Lynn, good afternoon."

Tiona came skipping into the courtyard.

"I've come to deliver a letter to you!"

Lynn: "A letter from Finn?"

Tiona nodded. "Yeah, Finn wants to talk to you about... well, basically that matter."

Mid-sentence, Tiona noticed Aisha and the others nearby and swallowed the words 'Evilus.'

"Here, this is the letter. See for yourself."

Tiona handed the letter to Lynn.

Compared to the letter Lynn had prepared for Ishtar, Finn's letter was much more formal.

After the initial greetings, it specified the time and place to discuss the Evilus.

Lynn put the letter down. "Meeting tomorrow? That's a bit faster than I imagined."

Tiona shrugged. "It has to be fast. We're heading out on an expedition the day after tomorrow."

Lynn understood.

Expeditions for the Loki Familia started at the 50th floor at minimum; just the round trip alone would take half a month.

If they didn't meet before leaving, the next time they'd have a chance would be a month later.

Lynn: "Tell Finn it's no problem on my end. I'll wait for him at Hestia Restaurant tomorrow."

"Roger that!"

Tiona gave a mock salute.

After that, she looked at Aisha and the others nearby with a curious expression. "I heard Finn say before I came that you recruited the people from the Ishtar Familia. Is that them?"

Lynn nodded. "I'm arranging new jobs for them. If I'm lucky and find a few who can cook, the second restaurant can open next month."

Tiona waved her hand. "Impossible! What Amazon knows how to cook?"

As a fellow Amazon, Tiona knew well that the traits of this race could be described in two terms.

Battle maniacs and high libido.

Someone like her, who had remained single until now and only cared about fighting, was considered an outlier among Amazons.

Tiona: "Speaking of which, why don't I see that toad?"

Toad?

Lynn paused for a second before realizing who she was talking about. "She's lying in the hospital."

Tiona tilted her head. "Hospital? No way. She's a Level 5, after all. It's been over ten days and she's still not out?"

Tiona had heard about the Freya Familia's attack on the Ishtar Familia from Riveria yesterday.

According to her, the conflict happened over ten days ago, right when they had just entered the Dungeon.

With Amed's magic and the recovery rate of a Level 5, she should have been discharged even if her bones had been crushed.

Tiona: "Could it be that the smelly toad was so traumatized she's hiding in the hospital, afraid to come out?"

Lynn shook his head. "She was discharged a few days ago, but I sent her back in yesterday."

Tiona was stunned, vaguely sensing the truth. "Could she have..."

"It's pretty much something like that."

Lynn nodded slightly, giving a direct answer.

Last night, when Aisha gathered the members of the Ishtar Familia, Phryne, as the captain, was also present.

Basically, the moment she saw Lynn, Phryne started acting up and drooling.

Lynn didn't indulge her either, kicking her straight back into the hospital on the spot.

Thinking of the hospital, Lynn suddenly remembered the Elf Maiden who had been unconscious not long ago. "Lefiya should be awake by now, right? How is she?"

Tiona: "She's recovering quite well and can already do daily exercises."

Lynn nodded. "That's good. I bear some responsibility for her fainting. Later, I'll personally cook and prepare a dinner for her. You can take it back for me."

Tiona's eyes lit up. "I want some too! Prepare a dinner for me as well!"

After getting used to Lynn's cooking, she felt like she was eating pig slop whenever she went back to the Familia for meals.

A big reason she agreed to run this errand for Finn was that she wanted to come to the Hestia Familia to scrounge a meal.

Lynn naturally didn't refuse.

One meal or two meals made no difference to him; it was just a matter of convenience.

As he led Tiona toward the kitchen, Lynn glanced sideways.

"Hestia, isn't it time to let go? It's a bit awkward walking like this."

"No! I have to protect Lynn!"

Hestia clung to Lynn's arm, staring warily at Tiona.

"Lynn is mine! Don't even think about stealing him!"

"Oh~ that won't do! If I don't have Lynn's food, even I'll lose my motivation!"

Perhaps curious about Hestia's reaction, Tiona moved to the other side and grabbed Lynn's other arm.

"Lynn's cooking belongs to everyone. Goddess Hestia, you can't keep him all to yourself."

"Let go!"

Hestia's fur stood on end, and with a growl, she lunged at the Amazon girl.

"Can't catch me, can't catch me!"

Tiona laughed loudly and started playing hide-and-seek with Hestia in the courtyard.

Seeing this, Lynn lamented that being too handsome was also a problem, then headed to the kitchen alone.

...

"Finn! I'm back!"

Tiona returned to the Familia carrying two stacks of lunch boxes.

"Here, these are souvenirs."

"..."

Is that how you use the word 'souvenirs'?

Looking at the fragrant lunch boxes before him, Finn thought for a second before pushing the question aside.

Forget it, it's not important.

Having food to eat is always a good thing.

Finn: "How did Lynn respond?"

Tiona gave a thumbs up. "He agreed. Meeting at Hestia Restaurant tomorrow. Finn, can you take me with you when you go to negotiate?"

Finn was puzzled. "What are you coming for?"

Tiona pointed at the lunch boxes. "My foodie radar is telling me that Lynn will be cooking again tomorrow. I want to go with you and scrounge a meal."

Finn: "...As long as you don't cause trouble. Also, don't tell the others about this."

Bringing one person to scrounge a meal was fine.

If he brought a whole crowd, it would turn into a banquet.

"Thanks, Finn!"

Receiving a definite answer, Tiona was overjoyed.

After thanking Finn, she ran outside carrying two stacks of lunch boxes.

It was time to deliver food to Lefiya and the others.

...

At the same time, Hestia Familia.

After finishing dinner, Lynn returned to his room and lay down.

Even though he didn't go to the Dungeon today, he still came to the Mist Space as usual to call for the others.

However, to DanMachi Lynn's surprise...

After waiting in the Mist Plaza for a long time, the first one to arrive was a Lynn wearing a school uniform.

"Hmm? This place is..."

School Uniform Lynn had a look of vigilance.

Glancing left and right, he finally saw DanMachi Lynn slumped on the sofa not far away.

Noticing that DanMachi Lynn looked exactly like him, School Uniform Lynn subconsciously took a step back, wanting to retreat into the the mist and run away.

But just then, the the mist behind him suddenly gathered into a giant hand and slapped him on the back.

"Holy crap!"

School Uniform Lynn was sent flying and landed right in front of DanMachi Lynn.

"Big brother, don't kill me! I surrender!"

"Relax, I'm not planning to kill you."

DanMachi Lynn raised his hand and pressed down with a claw-like grip.

Transmigrated to Another World, going to school while being a copywriter to earn money, discovering a classmate named Yuji Itadori...

A massive number of memories flooded into his mind like a tide.

With the convenience of the Mist Space, DanMachi Lynn digested these memories in an instant.

"Jujutsu Kaisen... No wonder you're so timid. That world is a bit dangerous for ordinary people."

From the original work, it was clear that the Jujutsu Sorcerers' suppression of Cursed Spirit was very limited.

Often, it was only after the Cursed Spirit caused casualties that the Jujutsu Sorcerers would receive word and send someone to exorcise them.

Jujutsu Lynn was just an ordinary person before, completely powerless against Cursed Spirit.

Suddenly arriving at this strange place, the Mist Space, and seeing someone exactly like himself, he directly mistook DanMachi Lynn for a Cursed Spirit; it would be weirder if he wasn't afraid.

"Dammit! You scared me to death!"

Jujutsu Lynn had also finished digesting the memories by now.

Realizing that DanMachi Lynn wasn't a Cursed Spirit but his own golden finger, he flopped onto the ground.

"I really thought I was a goner just now."

DanMachi Lynn shrugged: "If I hadn't done that, you would have run away. Who knows if you would have come back in next time."

"True, you did the right thing."

Jujutsu Lynn nodded in agreement.

Although the scene just now was terrifying, thinking back, everything DanMachi Lynn did was correct.

Feeling the powerful energy surging through his body, Jujutsu Lynn raised his hand and summoned a flash of lightning.

Jujutsu Lynn: "Not bad, not bad at all. This way, I finally have some self-defense capabilities. I won't be bullied by just any random Cursed Spirit anymore."

DanMachi Lynn: "That's true, but you should still be steady. Our current power isn't enough to walk sideways in the Jujutsu world yet."

Jujutsu Lynn: "Don't worry, I know what I'm doing."

Judging by the plot performance in the original series, his current strength was about that of a Grade 1 Jujutsu Sorcerer.

He'd be fine against ordinary Cursed Spirit, but he still couldn't beat dangerous Special Grade Cursed Spirits like Jogo or Mahito.

Jujutsu Lynn: "By the way, Current Propulsion seems to have become my Cursed Technique. Do you think if I used a Binding Vow to strengthen Current Propulsion, it would be useful for all of you?"

DanMachi Lynn: "I'm not sure. Among the other Lynns who have obtained Current Propulsion so far, no one has strengthened it yet; at most, they've developed different applications."

Jujutsu Lynn: "Then I can give it a try."

It was different from JoJo Lynn's situation, where he needed to get the Arrow to evolve Current Propulsion.

Binding Vows in the Jujutsu world were a very convenient ability that could be used as long as one mastered the basic knowledge.

Like Sukuna in the original work, he relied on Binding Vows to forcibly cheat, killing Gojo Satoru in one move.

However, ...

"Before you learn formal knowledge, you'd better not use Binding Vows recklessly," DanMachi Lynn suggested.

Although Sukuna played with Binding Vows to perfection in the original work and almost wiped out the protagonist group.

That didn't mean everyone could use Binding Vows to cheat and go on a killing spree like Sukuna.

The most classic example was Kasumi Miwa, who ruined herself because of a Binding Vow and became a gag character.

"From your memories, the start of the plot shouldn't be far off. Before Megumi Fushiguro arrives, just wait patiently. Wait until you get to Jujutsu High before trying Binding Vows."

"In addition, don't set too harsh a restriction for your first Binding Vow. Share it in the Mist Space to test the effects before considering whether to continue using it."

The power in the Mist Space was shared.

If the side effects could also be shared, then Jujutsu Lynn could very likely ruin everyone with one reckless operation.

Just in case, multiple tests must be conducted before using a Binding Vow to strengthen Current Propulsion.
