Chapter 83 - Labyrinth King

Dungeon, 27th Floor.

After a day of travel, Lynn and the others found a temporary area to rest.

After clearing out the surrounding wandering monsters, the group gathered around a campfire to enjoy dinner.

"Phew~ I'm full."

After gorging herself, Tiona held her stomach with a satisfied look and remarked.

"Even though we're here to explore, I feel more comfortable than I do on the surface."

"I agree that it's comfortable, but it's still much more dangerous than the surface."

Lefiya didn't quite agree with that.

Unlike Tiona, who loved to fight, she preferred a more stable environment.

Thinking of this, her gaze involuntarily drifted to the side:

"Lynn, are you really going to make a move on the Labyrinth King?"

Lynn sat by the stream scrubbing a pot: "Yeah, didn't I tell you while we were traveling? Only fighting a Labyrinth King can provide enough training effect."

"That's true, but with just the few of us facing a Labyrinth King..."

Lefiya hesitated.

Labyrinth King—a special monster that only spawns on specific floors of the Dungeon.

Compared to ordinary monsters, a Labyrinth King has an extremely long respawn cycle and is equally powerful.

On the same floor, a Labyrinth King's strength is generally two to three levels higher than that of ordinary monsters.

Taking the City of Water Maze as an example, the Labyrinth King 'Amphisbaena' born here has ability values roughly equal to LV5.

Under normal circumstances, with the lineup of Lynn's team, taking down an LV5 enemy wouldn't be too difficult, but fighting in the City of Water Maze was another matter entirely.

Leveraging the geographical advantage, Amphisbaena's danger level would increase further, making it more troublesome to fight than an LV6.

As an LV3, Lefiya had participated in the subjugation of Amphisbaena before, but those times were always led by Finn and the others.

Recalling carefully, this was the first time they were in a five-person party with only three First Class Adventurers.

Seemingly seeing through her worry, Lynn patted his chest with a confident look.

"Don't worry, Lefiya."

"I'm not an idiot; I've naturally thought of everything you can think of."

"In fact, defeating the Labyrinth King is quite simple for us, not as hard as you think."

Of course, even if they couldn't win, it wouldn't be a problem.

If you can't win, can't you just run?

As long as the route was planned in advance, they could completely flee to the 28th floor for refuge.

They could hide for a few days until the Guild received the news, and someone would quickly come to handle it.

"And to be honest, this is also a good opportunity to farm deeds."

"Conquering a Labyrinth King with only five people is a deed no matter how you look at it."

"When the time comes, all of you can return and breakthrough, giving Finn and the others a surprise."

A surprise? Or more like a shock?

Recalling Finn and the others' usual way of doing things, Lefiya's expression became somewhat subtle.

However, after Lynn's encouragement, the pressure in her heart lightened a lot.

"By the way, Lefiya."

Just then, Lynn's voice rang out again: "Do you feel any physical discomfort, or are you seeing hallucinations?"

"No."

Lefiya replied subconsciously.

But she quickly reacted.

"Wait, Lynn! You didn't poison the food again, did you?!"

"Ehe~"

Lefiya: "..."

Her blood pressure began to rise.

...

The night passed in silence, and the next day arrived.

After a night's rest, Lynn and the others were refreshed and began their exploration again.

Of course, calling it "exploration" wasn't entirely accurate.

As First-Class Adventurers, Tiona and the others often passed through the 27th Floor.

The only one who actually needed to familiarize himself with the terrain and monster situation here was Lynn.

And as a cheater, his power was further amplified on the 27th Floor.

Boom—!

A deafening roar sounded as Lynn smashed a fist into the Waterfall Pool.

The golden lightning wrapped around his fist exploded instantly, turning into bolts of light that surged in all directions, swallowing the monster army.

"Refreshing!"

Lynn looked satisfied as he tossed all the monster materials on the water's surface into a sack.

The City of Water Maze is truly a great place.

By releasing a bit of electricity, it would reward him with a large amount of Magic Stones and monster materials.

Boom—!

Perhaps sensing Lynn's malice, the City of Water Maze suddenly let out a roar, and the ground began to shake violently.

"Lynn! It's coming!"

Tiona warned from behind.

Of course, even without her warning, Lynn knew what was happening.

Tossing the sack aside, Lynn looked toward the waterfall ahead.

Starting from the 25th floor, the Great Blue Falls cascaded down in steps all the way to the 27th Floor.

At this moment, the vast flow of water seemed to be split open by someone, slowly spreading from the center to both sides.

In Lynn's sight, a twenty-meter-tall two-headed snake monster slowly emerged.

Roar—!!!

As soon as the two-headed snake monster appeared, it raised its heads and let out a deafening roar that echoed through three floors.

However, just then, over a dozen metal marbles sliced through the air, falling from different angles.

Boom—! Boom—! Boom—!

A series of metal marbles smashed into Amphisbaena, causing its body to fall backward.

But in the next second, the two-headed snake monster regained its balance, its two heads glaring angrily at the figure on the edge of the Waterfall Pool.

"Only a minor injury?"

Looking at the scales on Amphisbaena that only had some cracks, Lynn said with regret.

He had intended to take advantage of the opponent's opening animation to launch a sneak attack and heavily wound it.

But now it seemed the sneak attack had failed; the power of the Marble Sword Technique was a bit lacking.

"Careful! It's coming!"

Lefiya's voice came from behind.

Deep in the Waterfall Pool, Amphisbaena's left head opened its mouth.

In the next instant, azure flames suddenly erupted.

Everywhere the flames passed, even the water's surface began to burn, sending up large amounts of steam.

Facing this attack, Lynn and the others, who were well-prepared, naturally wouldn't take it head-on.

"Lefiya, I'll leave the cover to you."

After dodging the fire jet, Lynn activated Current Propulsion and the State of Selflessness, his figure blurring as he charged toward the Waterfall Pool ahead.

Boom—!

Golden current exploded beneath his feet. Just as he charged onto the Waterfall Pool, Lynn was hit by the impact and lunged forward a significant distance.

After that, a series of booms rang out as he stepped on the water's surface, kicking up a trail of spray, rapidly closing in on the enemy.

Noticing Lynn's arrival, Amphisbaena's left head spat out new flames to attack the distant Lefiya and the others, while its right head opened its massive maw to bite down head-on.

Facing this terrifying attack, Lynn's expression didn't show the slightest panic, his hand resting on the hilt of the sword at his waist.

Thunder Breathing, Seventh Form: Flaming Thunder God

Boom—!

A deafening roar sounded as a spray of water several dozen meters high exploded.

Without holding back at all, Lynn used his full power in the very first strike, his figure appearing instantly above Amphisbaena's head.

A cold light flashed; the tachi worth a billion Valis finally bared its fangs, tearing through the Labyrinth King's scales.

In the next second, Amphisbaena's angry hiss echoed throughout the entire floor.
