Not all essence was the same. Just like Uriel's Sky Ruler essence and Elaine's Death Frost essence bore distinct names and effects.
The essence type of a Mage was structured differently than a Knight or even a Berserker, because they were meant to fuel different abilities.
So if Seth was able to access this ability, didn't that mean his essence could be restructured to meet the varying requirements?
