Everyone tensed up, their ears perking as they readied to listen to the president.
"Humanity needs several pillars to keep our race afloat, invaluable individuals with abilities indispensable to the human race."
The president's expression turned extremely stern as his gaze scanned through them. He announced, "And we need you guys to retrieve them."
Seth blinked, sighing. So here he thought they were going to be ordered to do some next-level mission…
The president could feel the disappointment in their eyes. His expression still stoic, he continued, "You guys probably think this will be too easy."
The president said no more, sourcing a phone from his pocket. He dialed a number and began to call.
With a beep, it picked up, but the other end remained silent, waiting for orders.
"Bring her in."
With that, he ended the call…
Seth and the others glanced among each other, unsure of where this was leading.
