The water that was used to treat Tara may have seemed warm, but it was too hot to be used to clean wounds, and salt had been added to it. Per the patriarch's previous order, they were told to use it to clean Tara's wound. As the maid pressed the wet cloth against the wound, Tara screamed, "Aaah!" in agony, and just like that, the patriarch looked in Tara's direction and glared at her.
Noticing the patriarch's glare, Tara immediately shut her mouth and held in her cries, writhing as she bit her bottom lip in pain while enduring it.
"How fragile could you be to feel pain from just warm water, Tara?" Venessa said in fake concern.
Tara glanced at Venessa but did not say a word.
