Chapter 99 - PART 99 — The Way Fear Forces You To Say

The night was too quiet.

Not peaceful.

Not calm.

Just… empty.

Pixel lay on her bed.

Lights off.

Room dark.

But her mind—

wasn't.

It kept replaying everything.

Every word.

Every look.

Every moment from the last few days.

His voice.

His presence.

His stubbornness.

"I'm not letting you go again."

She turned to the side.

Closed her eyes tightly.

"…Why now…" she whispered.

Because after three years—

she had learned how to survive without him.

Barely.

And now—

he was back.

And everything was breaking again.

Her chest felt heavy.

Breathing uneven.

"I can't do this again…"

But the truth?

She already was.

📱 Her phone vibrated

Once.

Twice.

Three times.

She frowned.

Who calls at this hour?

Her heart—

already uneasy.

She picked it up.

"…Hello?"

Silence.

Then—

a broken voice.

"…Please come."

💥

Her entire body froze.

"…Steven?"

His breathing was unstable.

Like he had been crying for a long time.

"There's been an accident…"

Her grip on the phone tightened.

"…What?"

"It's Stephan…"

💀

Everything inside her stopped.

"…No."

"He's in the ICU…"

💥

"…No—no—no…"

"He's not responding…"

💔

Her vision blurred instantly.

"…Which hospital?" she asked, her voice shaking violently.

He told her.

"I'm coming."

She didn't wait.

Didn't think.

Didn't breathe properly.

She just moved.

The Panic — When Control Disappears

She rushed out of her room.

Didn't change clothes.

Didn't fix her hair.

Didn't even notice—

she wasn't wearing shoes.

Her hands trembled as she grabbed her keys.

Her heartbeat—

wild.

Unstable.

Loud.

"This isn't real…"

She kept repeating.

"This isn't real…"

But her body knew—

it was.

The Drive — When Fear Takes Over Completely

The car sped through the empty roads.

Streetlights blurred.

Signals ignored.

Time meaningless.

Her hands shook on the steering wheel.

Tears falling continuously.

"…You can't do this to me…"

Her voice broke.

"…You don't get to leave like this…"

Her breathing became uneven.

Almost painful.

"…I didn't even say it…"

💔

"…I didn't even tell you…"

She drove faster.

Too fast.

Because in that moment—

nothing mattered.

Not rules.

Not safety.

Not anything.

Except one thing.

Him.

Hospital — Reality Hits Harder Than Imagination

She reached.

Brakes screeched.

Door slammed.

And she ran.

Barefoot.

Cold floor.

Sharp tiles.

She didn't feel anything.

Not the pain.

Not the cold.

Because her heart—

was already breaking.

"ICU?" she asked desperately at the reception.

"Second floor—"

She didn't wait.

She ran.

Outside ICU — The Worst Scene

And then—

she saw them.

Johan.

Hill.

Steven.

All there.

But not like usual.

No jokes.

No teasing.

No calm.

Steven—

crying uncontrollably.

Hill—

standing still.

But eyes red.

Johan—

pacing.

Frustrated.

Helpless.

Pixel stopped.

Because suddenly—

everything became real.

"…Where is he?" she whispered.

Steven rushed to her.

Held her tightly.

"He's not waking up…"

💔

Her body went weak.

"No…"

The ICU Door — The Hardest Walk

Her steps slowed.

Each one—

heavier than the last.

Her hand reached the door.

Paused.

Because she was scared.

Scared of what she might see.

But she pushed it anyway.

Inside ICU — The Breaking Point

And there he was.

Lying on the bed.

Still.

Unmoving.

Machines connected.

Beeping sounds constant.

Too quiet.

Too lifeless.

"…Stephan…"

Her voice barely came out.

She walked closer.

Slowly.

Like if she moved too fast—

he might disappear.

"…Wake up…"

No response.

"…This isn't funny…"

Silence.

Her hands trembled as she touched his.

Cold.

Still.

💔

"…You said you won't let me go…"

Her voice broke completely.

"…Then why are you leaving?"

The Breakdown — No Control Left

Tears fell uncontrollably.

"I hate you…"

"…I hate you so much…"

But even those words—

were filled with love.

"…Why would you do this…"

Her grip tightened.

"…You don't get to leave me like this…"

💥

"I didn't even say it…"

"I didn't even choose you properly…"

"I didn't even fight for you…"

💔

Her entire body shook.

"I was scared…"

"But I never stopped loving you…"

💥💔

"I tried…"

"…I tried so hard…"

"But I couldn't…"

"I couldn't forget you…"

Her head dropped near his hand.

"…I can't live like this…"

"…So please…"

"…wake up…"

The Confession — Raw and Unfiltered

"I love you."

💥

"I still love you…"

"I never stopped…"

"…Not even for one day…"

Her tears soaked his hand.

"…So don't leave me…"

"…Please…"

The Silence — And Then…

Nothing.

No movement.

No response.

Just machines.

Just silence.

And her broken breathing.

Then—

"…You took too long."

💥💀

Her entire body froze.

Slowly—

his fingers moved.

Then—

his eyes opened.

Looking straight at her.

Alive.

The Shock

"…You're… awake?"

"…Obviously."

Silence.

Then—

💥 She hit him hard

"You idiot!!"

Tears + anger + relief exploded together.

"I thought you were dying!!"

"…I almost was."

"…WHAT?!"

He looked at her.

"…But not enough to miss this."

💥

Ending Hook

Because sometimes—

it takes the fear of losing someone—

to finally admit—

you never wanted to.

And now—

there was no hiding left.

No running.

No pretending.

Because she said it.

And he heard it.

Everything was about to change.
