Chapter 21 - A New Chat Group Member

[The Honored One: Hmm, it seems highly likely.]

[Unfortunate reincarnator: Satoru-san, you too?!]

[The Honored One: What? Just stating the fact. Sly look jpg.]

[Unfortunate reincarnator: Uwahh, @Slug Sannin they are bullying me!!]

[Slug Sannin: Ok, ok, enough of the jokes. Laughing jpg.]

[Slug Sannin: So tell us, what the good news is?]

[Unfortunate reincarnator: Hehe, well, guess?]

'Her emotion really changes fast,' Satoru thought as he stared at Mio's message.

[I'm a Samurai: Didn't I say it? Seems like Mio-san's brain is really filled with nothing but ecchi stuff... like my unwashed underwear. She's beyond saving. Giving up jpg.]

The chat group became silent, and then, Mio exploded once more.

[Unfortunate reincarnator: Gintoki!!!!]

...

After five minutes of pacifying Mio.

[Unfortunate reincarnator: @I'm a Samurai.

Hmph, if I were the admin, I would really have muted you for a whole week!]

[I'm a Samurai: Eh? I can't hear your weak words from here!]

[Slug Sannin: Ok, that's enough. Mio-chan, won't you tell us about the news?]

[Unfortunate reincarnator: Hehe, no need to brag, but... I've sensed chakra! Prideful jpg.]

[I Refuse to Marry: @Unfortunate reincarnator, That's amazing! Now you can better protect yourself in your universe!]

[Unfortunate reincarnator: Hehe, that's not the only good stuff!]

[I Refuse to Marry: Eh? There's more?!]

[Unfortunate reincarnator: Of course! Wait a sec, I'll show you!]

After a few seconds, Mio's message appeared in the chat group again, but this time it was a skill description.

[Unfortunate reincarnator: Skill name: Hypnosis Immunity: A passive skill which grants immunity to any hypnotic spell cast on the user!]

After reading through the skill, Satoru was left stunned—it is popularly known that the three most popular tropes in most NTR (or even some normal hentai) are blackmailing, hypnosis, and even overpowered time-stopping.

With this ability, Mio would be able to live a little more freely in her world.

[I Refuse to Marry: Mio-chan, you're really lucky to possess such good abilities in a short time! I'm really envious!]

[Unfortunate reincarnator: Hehe, it's nothing!]

Though Mio sounded humble, Satoru could already imagine the wide smile plastered across her face.

[Slug Sannin: @I Refuse to Marry is right. You really are lucky, Mio-chan, to gain that ability. And your talent is actually decent too.]

[Unfortunate reincarnator: Hahaha, you flatter me!]

[Unfortunate reincarnator: By the way, Tsunade-san, I'm currently stuck studying the Shadow Clone...]

[Slug Sannin: Don't be shy. We're comrades—you can ask.]

[Unfortunate reincarnator: Great! My plan of not going to school can finally be put into motion! Ecstatic jpg.]

'Using the Shadow Clone Jutsu to escape school...' Satoru's lips twitched slightly, but he could relate. Who wouldn't want to skip school after learning the Shadow Clone Jutsu?

If not for the fact that cursed energy and chakra were like oil and water, Satoru would really want to learn the jutsu.

Seeing that both Tsunade and Mio were talking about the Shadow Clone Jutsu, Satoru calmly dismissed the chat group interface and stared at the world beyond the mirror—they had reached Tokyo Jujutsu High.

After stepping out, Masamichi stared at his students. "I need to report what happened to the principal... Get some rest too."

After he was through with his words, Masamichi walked up the stairs. Haruto, who stood close to the car, scratched his head sheepishly.

"Well, I need some rest after such a tense situation."

Before the three could blink, Haruto had already entered the car and zoomed off.

"Ahhh, I'm so hungry!" Satoru said as he stretched.

"Hmm, you guys can go ahead and have dinner. I still need to attend to patients," Shoko said, already walking away.

"Hey, wait!" Satoru's call caused her to stop. She turned and looked at him in stunned silence as Satoru walked toward her. Before she could react, Satoru had already grabbed her by the collar and lifted her like a chick.

"Hey! Hey! Put me down!" Shoko protested as she flailed her arms and legs in an attempt to free herself, but against Satoru's inhuman strength, it was all for naught.

After walking a few meters with the now-given-up Shoko, Satoru turned to the stunned Suguru.

"Hey, aren't you coming?" Satoru asked, receiving a wry smile from Suguru.

"I'm coming, I'm coming!"

.....

Though it was 8 at night, some shops in Tokyo were still open, with steady customers flocking in—mostly white-collar overtime workers.

The place Satoru chose for their dinner was the only shop open that still sold sweets—something Satoru and the OG Satoru shared in common: their love for sweets.

'It must be because of all the brain thinking... Mhm!' Satoru thought as he chewed on the warabi mochi with a squinted look, his expression filled with bliss.

Across from him, Suguru stared at Satoru happily eating his mochi with a small smile—though he had tried to hide it, Suguru could clearly see that Satoru had been tense throughout the first sealing process. It was only after defeating Sukuna that he returned to his normal self.

After dinner, Shoko quickly slipped away, leaving Satoru and Suguru alone.

Satoru turned to Suguru. "You can head back. I still have something to do."

Suguru raised an eyebrow in surprise but didn't ask what Satoru wanted to do. Instead, he gave a nod. "Don't overstress yourself."

Watching Suguru's receding figure, Satoru smiled, finally understanding why the OG Satoru would risk going against the entire jujutsu world just to keep Suguru's body.

After reminiscing for a while, Satoru took the left road, walking through oppressive darkness. After walking for a while, he stared ahead, where a figure had been waiting.

It was a female. She wore Tokyo Jujutsu High's black uniform; some of her blue hair was tied in a ponytail, while the rest fell down both sides of her face. Her lips, smeared with red lipstick, curled upward—she looked extremely beautiful... and dangerous.

"As expected of the special-grade sorcerer from the Gojo clan. Really perceptive—able to detect my crow," the girl said as she placed her hand forward. A crow descended and neatly landed on it.

"Mhm, you really weren't trying to hide it... If Suguru hadn't been tired, he too would have noticed it," Satoru said.

The girl smiled but didn't say anything. Instead, she stroked the crow tenderly, and after a while, she introduced herself. "I'm Mei Mei, an upperclassman from Tokyo Jujutsu High... I'm here to congratulate you on your first mission being successful."

Satoru raised an eyebrow behind his blindfold. "...Thank you, but you didn't have to come all the way here just to congratulate me."

"Hehe, of course I did. After all, you're my junior, and besides... I'm not only here to congratulate you." Mei Mei walked forward and stopped only five meters away from Satoru, staring at him intensely. "With all that strength, don't you feel bored?..."

Hearing Mei Mei's question, Satoru rolled his eyes, vaguely guessing what she was about to say.

"...Special grade—the only thing that can give you a challenge—must be tough to find, right?" Mei Mei asked, still staring. "Why don't you join me? I take jobs dealing with cursed spirits. They might be special-grade curses too, and after the job, we split the money 50-50. What do you say?"

Satoru smirked inwardly. He knew of Mei Mei's infamous reputation—the money grubber. As long as money was involved, Mei Mei would do almost anything.

Satoru offered a smile. "Since they might be special-grade cursed spirits, why would I refuse?"

Mei Mei's eyes lit up with joy. "Good! Then if there are any missions that seem too hard or complex, I'll call you!"

After giving Satoru a wink, Mei Mei happily walked away.

"Her connections are really vast!" Satoru muttered as he stared at Mei Mei's figure slowly engulfed by darkness.

...

After Mei Mei left, Satoru didn't linger and also left.

Creak!

Satoru opened the door to his dorm and entered, noticing the sleeping Suguru.

Satoru shook his head and climbed into his bed. Just as he was about to sleep, a chime from the chat group snapped his eyes open.

[Ding!]

[Chat group member: BloodMoonValkyrie has joined the chat group!]

Just as Satoru was stunned to see a new member, BloodMoonValkyrie dropped a message.

[BloodMoonValkyrie: Who dared interrupt my pursuit of my lost lamb?!]

.....

A/N: Guess the new chat group member.
