Naruto universe.
Land of fire.
In an inn.
Tsunade in her signature outfit sat at the edge of her bed—in her room—silently staring as the minutes in the chat group reduced.
Though she had prepared for the teleportation, she still couldn't forget one thing.
'How would Shizune act if I'm gone?' Tsunade thought grimly, 'Would she be ok...no I shouldn't think much. After the trial mission starts I'll try my best to complete it as fast as possible! Who knows, Shizune might not know I left!'
Just as Tsunade pondered, the space before her suddenly rippled like water and then four figures stepped out—two male and two female.
Just as Tsunade was stunned by the sight, the chat group appeared again.
[Ding!]
[Teleportation successful!]
[Information about the trial mission has been delivered!]
[Do you wish to view it?]
[Y/N]
"I was really transported!!" One of the females—a beautiful red-haired girl wearing a nightgown—said with tears already threatening to fall.
One of the males—a handsome silver-permed hair, yukata-wearing man with a sheathed sword strapped around his waist—created distance between him and the girl, his face filled with disgust as he said, "If you want to cry, I won't stop you, but don't let the tears touch me!"
"..."
"You-you!!" The red-haired girl glared at the silver-permed-haired man with fury and embarrassment.
"Alright, that's enough," Tsunade, finally breaking free from her shock, interrupted the two, "Though I don't know why you guys appear in my world, why don't we introduce ourselves before seeing the mission?"
The second and last male; a handsome boy with white hair and a black cloth covering his eyes, hummed in agreement.
"I'm Gojo Satoru, the new member in the chat group," Satoru introduced himself with a smile.
As Satoru introduced himself, everyone in the room stared at him curiously, but although the red-haired girl also stared at him curiously, a tinge of suspicion was also there.
Seeing that Satoru had introduced himself, the silver-permed hair man puffed his chest and with a firm hold on his sheathed sword, he introduced himself,
"My name is Gintoki Sakata and also 'I'm a samurai'!"
Immediately after Gintoki introduced himself, the girls' disgusted looks became more prominent; "I'm a samurai" had a very infamous reputation in the chat group—a pervert.
"My name is Mio Hoshino, in the group chat I'm unfortunate reincarnator. I hope the seniors can take care of me!" The red-haired girl in a nightgown—Mio—said as she bowed.
After Mio's introduction, the last female among the group of four, also sporting a red hair, spoke.
"My name is Rias Gremory, and also 'I don't want to marry'," The girl—Rias, wearing a school uniform which accentuated her figure greatly—said listlessly, like someone who had already given up in life.
The room suddenly became quiet.
"Hahaha, Rias right? Don't worry if that Riser guy dares bring the marriage up again, surely call me! I'll see if phoenix soup is really as good as the legends say!" Gintoki said as he patted his chest, breaking the silence; though he agreed with Tsunade he still felt she was somewhat harsh, brutally shattering the little hope that Rias had.
Rias offered a small smile as she looked at Gintoki, "Thanks"
But while Rias' gaze was filled with gratitude, Mio's gaze was filled with disgust.
"I really didn't expect Gintoki-san to not only be a pervert but also a carnivore, planning to eat a devil," Mio said as she crinkled her nose in disgust.
Gintoki, who had been feeling pleased, instantly froze as the meaning of his words slowly dawned on him, but Mio wasn't through.
"And do you think you can even hurt him? Forget about his peerage members, do you think you can defeat someone with near-infinite life?"
"..."
Gintoki, who had been feeling pleased with himself, instantly deflated like a burst balloon and silently walked to a corner in the room and squatted, silently drawing circles on the ground.
"Haha," Rias, who had looked listless, chuckled softly.
"Ok, that's enough play. My name is Tsunade Senju, also the Slug Sannin!" Tsunade, who had been watching Mio and Gintoki's interaction, finally introduced herself, "Now that the introduction is done, let's check the mission."
The group silently tapped the 'Y' answer and to their astonishment, the chat group interface became a single large interface that everyone could see.
[Trial Mission—Thwart the plan of the invader!]
[Mission description: Tomorrow evening, a being from a special organization will descend upon this world, in the village—Konoha, with malicious intent. Your mission is to thwart its plans and if possible kill this being.]
[If the being's mission fails: All chat group functions will be unlocked]
[If the being dies: All chat group functions will be unlocked and members will receive rewards corresponding to how they acted]
[Warning: Failure of this mission will lead to the chat group's disappearance and all information about it will be erased from all the group members!]
As they finished reading the mission, the faces of the group became serious.
"It gave us the location and the time though not exact it is still something, but in which place exactly would that being appear?" Mio said as she stroked her chin thoughtfully, "In such a situation in novels, the being would likely descend to make the story deviate explosively from its normal trajectory, for example the killing of a protagonist."
The eyes of Tsunade—who had also been seriously pondering—widened as she stared at Mio, "Did you say killing the protagonist?"
"Mhm," Mio nodded in agreement, "Though I'm not 100% sure, it normally follows that direction!"
Tsunade calmed her agitated heart as she asked, "Didn't you say Naruto is the protagonist of this world?"
Before Mio could reply to Tsunade, Gintoki beat her to it, "That is what I am thinking! I say we follow Naruto till tomorrow evening!"
Mio glared at Gintoki, 'I wanted to say that!'
But hearing Gintoki's suggestion, Tsunade shook her head, "It isn't Naruto we should follow."
"Eh?"
"It's Kushina!"
