…
The wind blew hard across the sky, which was as dark as a night without sun.
The king sat on the ground looking up at the sky which was getting brighter with the sunlight piercing through the black clouds and the figure of the mysterious female knight could be seen.
War trumpets blared shrilly, tearing through the grey sky. The entire army of the Kingdom of Roses, having long been prepared, finally surged down from the fortifications and hills. They charged onto the battlefield like a bursting river of crimson, forming a protective wall around K.
"PROTECT WARRIOR K! CRUSH THE DARKEN ARMY!" the Commanders shouted.
Spearmen, swordsmen, and elemental magic units worked together to flood the battlefield. They held back the regular Darken troops, creating a clear space where K could face King Cladimir directly, undisturbed.
At the Center of Battle
K stood calmly amidst the sea of soldiers slaughtering each other. She did not attack Cladimir immediately. Instead, she paced casually back and forth in front of the Demon King, chattering endlessly like an unfailing stream.
"Wow... look at you, Cladimir," K said with a mocking smile, twirling her ever-shifting whip in her hand. "You were so confident before, saying you would kill me at dawn. But look now? Your army is shattered before night even falls."
Cladimir glared sharply, gripping his staff tightly. "SILENCE! INSOLENT WOMAN! THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING! I STILL HAVE COUNTLESS WAYS TO ANNIHILATE YOU ALL!"
"Oh really? Is that so?" K chuckled softly. "But look at your furrowed brows, the cold sweat starting to form... Don't lie to yourself. Your resolve is already shaking, isn't it? You're afraid... you're terrified because every single one of your calculations was wrong!"
"I AM NOT AFRAID! I AM A KING!" Cladimir roared, his voice cracking slightly.
"What kind of King? A King who runs away and leaves his shadow behind? A King who hides in the clouds while his men die?" K stepped closer, her gaze piercing straight into his soul. "I keep talking so I can see... if there is still a heart inside that cold chest of yours, or if it has turned completely to stone. As expected... you are nothing but a loud-mouthed coward!"
"ARRRGGHHH!! DIE ALREADY!!"
Cladimir completely lost his temper. The constant psychological pressure from K's words had finally broken his control. He was ready to unleash a deadly mass annihilation spell!
On the Distant Horizon
Suddenly, from the East, North, and South, plumes of smoke rose into the air, and countless new banners fluttered violently in the wind.
"LOOK THERE! THE ARMY OF THE ZEWILSTE KINGDOM! AND THOSE ARE BANNERS OF THE UNION KINGDOMS!" shouted a scout.
It was not just Roses fighting alone! Their old allies, the friendly kingdoms bound by peace treaties, had heard news of this dark invasion and moved out! They had arrived with massive reinforcements!
A Messenger from the Allied Forces ran up to the front lines of Roses.
"WE HAVE COME TO AID YOU! WE WILL NOT LET DARKNESS RULE THIS LAND! LONG LIVE THE KINGDOM OF ROSES! CRUSH DARKEN!"
Cheers of war echoed louder than ever. The power of justice had multiplied many times over!
"HAHAHA! HEAR THAT, CLADIMIR!" K shouted at the top of her lungs. "YOU ARE ALONE! THE ENTIRE WORLD STANDS AGAINST YOUR TYRANNY! HOW IS YOUR MENTAL STATE NOW?! STILL STRONG?!"
Cladimir turned deathly pale as he watched the endless stream of enemy reinforcements arriving. His plan was completely shattered, and he was now trapped between closing walls of steel!
The sky above the vast plains of the Blacktone was no longer blue, but had turned a deep grey mixed with thick black smoke billowing high into the air. Blood soaked the earth, and the metallic scent of iron and gunpowder filled the atmosphere. The army of the Kingdom of Darken, under the direct command of King Cladimir Darken, seemed innumerable. However, this time, they were not the only ones standing tall.
On the right flank of the defensive line, the rhythmic thundering of horse hooves and the heavy marching steps of infantry shook the very ground. Giant banners fluttered high, displaying the emblem of the rising sun and a silver shield.
The Kingdom of Zewilste had arrived. At the very front stood Zewilste's Supreme General, Gavriel—a muscular man clad in gleaming golden armor, though now covered in dust. Beside him, hundreds of elite Zewilste knights held long spears, their tips reflecting the reluctant sunlight.
"Look well, Cladimir!" Gavriel shouted, his voice amplified by magic to echo across the battlefield. "Did you think you could devour this continent alone? Your greed has awakened the sleeping giant!"
From atop the hill, King Cladimir Darken smiled crookedly. He sat upon a silver throne carried by his slaves, wearing a deep purple robe made from dragon hide. His face appeared calm, even pleased, yet his eyes held unfathomable cunning.
"Oh? Are these beggars who have come to beg for death?" Cladimir's voice was soft yet piercing. "Zewilste... I know your kingdom is rich, but is your gold enough to pay for the lives of your soldiers today, Gavriel?"
"Shut your mouth, demon!" Gavriel retorted. "We did not come to negotiate, but to bury you!"
The war horn was blown with immense force. Tuuuuttttt! Its sound shattered the tense silence.
In an instant, the world turned into hell.
The Zewilste forces advanced in a tight shield wall formation, resembling an impenetrable walking fortress. Fire arrows from the Darken army rained down upon them, but most bounced harmlessly off the steel shields. However, the enemy numbers were overwhelming. Wave after wave of dark soldiers attacked, pushing the Zewilste line back and exhausting their strength.
The sound of clashing steel, war cries, and screams of pain merged into a symphony of death. Dust flew everywhere, the ground cracked, and blood flowed like small streams down into the valley.
"Do not retreat! Hold the line!" shouted a Zewilste officer, just before he was forced to fend off attacks from three enemies at once.
The battlefield grew increasingly chaotic. Thick smoke covered large areas, limiting visibility. Amidst the confusion, the deafening sound of wings suddenly tore through the air from above.
Whoosh! Thud!
Aerial cavalry and elite units from the Alliance of Realms landed directly in the middle of the enemy ranks, shattering Darken's formations. They were a union of different nations united by one goal: to bring down Cladimir's tyranny.
"ALLIES HAVE ARRIVED!" shouted a Zewilste soldier, his spirit reignited.
Now, the war was being fought with total ferocity. No mercy, no compromise. Fire magic clashed with ice magic, sword met sword, and clouds of dust and blood reduced visibility to almost zero. Only courage and unwavering will served as a compass in this madness.
On the left wing of the battle, the Zewilste troops were being pushed hard by Cladimir's special demon units. They were struggling to hold on; their shields cracked and their morale began to waver.
Suddenly, from the western forest, a blinding bright light emerged. The scent of roses and divine glory filled the air strongly.
The Kingdom of Roses had entered the battlefield. They brought not only physical strength, but also miracles of healing and holy light that weakened the dark forces. The Roses knights wore pristine white armor accented with rose gold and crimson, moving gracefully yet lethally.
Standing in the center of their formation was the long-awaited figure.
She wore no crown, bore no kingdom emblem on her chest save for the black letter 'K' embroidered on her robe. Her face was hidden behind a cold iron mask, but her aura was so oppressive that enemy soldiers around her found it difficult to breathe.
Prince Julian The Oak approached K, his voice loud enough to rival the chaos of war.
Prince Julian: "Sir K! Our forces are ready! Zewilste holds the front line, the Alliance splits their center, and we from Roses shall ensure the light never fades! It is time we end Cladimir's nightmare!"
K only nodded slowly. She raised her pitch-black longsword high into the air.
K: "...Let their blood stain this blade. Cladimir... today, your debts are paid in full."
K shot forward like a violent tornado. Wherever she stepped, enemies fell silent. Her movements were fast, precise, and deadly. She was an unstoppable harbinger of death.
Watching this, King Cladimir atop the hill finally changed his expression. His cunning smile slowly faded, replaced by a sharp gaze filled with controlled rage. He clapped his hands slowly.
King Cladimir: "Hahaha! Interesting! Truly interesting!"
Cladimir stood up, and a dark aura erupted from his body, turning the surrounding earth black and withered.
King Cladimir: "Do you think gathering this trash from various kingdoms will make you win? I am Cladimir Darken! I am the one who dictates fate, I am the one who plays this game!"
He pointed his royal staff directly at K.
King Cladimir: "And you... Masked Knight. You think you can heal the wounds of the past by killing me? You are just as naive as your parents! Cunning? Manipulative? Oh, my dear... Those are not flaws, they are the art of survival in this cruel world!"
General Gavriel (shouting from a distance): "Silence, tyrant! Your words are nothing but empty air! ATTACK!!"
The war reached its peak.
In Left Wing The Roses army spread healing light, reviving wounded soldiers and purifying the poison of dark magic. They fought with the highest honor,in Center The Union forces were engaged in brutal close-quarters combat. The ground shook with every impact and in the Right Wing Zewilste stood as the strongest fortress, enduring the enemy's hardest assaults. Though many fell, they never retreated an inch.
And amidst it all... K continued to push forward, cleaving through the sea of enemies, her eyes focused on only one point: King Cladimir's throne upon the hill.
Cladimir laughed loudly, his voice echoing across the entire battlefield.
King Cladimir: "COME TO ME! PROVE THAT YOUR HATRED IS STRONGER THAN MY POWER! LET US SEE WHO WILL BECOME A LEGEND, AND WHO WILL BECOME WORM FOOD BY TONIGHT!!"
The fires of war burned the sky. There was no turning back. Only victory or death awaited at the tip of the sword.
The army of the Kingdom of Darken was dwindling. Blood soaked the earth, sturdy fortifications were now nothing but rubble, and the cries of wounded soldiers filled the air. Yet, amidst the chaos, three colossal figures stood firm, unshaken.
Bastian Auslen, with his greatsword still gleaming despite being stained red, Robert Leonard, whose eyes burned with cold calculation, and Alfrido De Roses, the old sorcerer whose robes billowed wildly in the wind, exchanged glances. They knew this was the moment to unleash everything.
Without a word, the three slowly raised their hands forward. Their palms opened wide, radiating a pitch-black light that began to spin violently. Tremendous magical energy resonated, cracking the very ground beneath their feet.
"Feel this... the end of your hope," Alfrido whispered with a raspy voice.
CRACK!
Three streams of energy—black, blood-red, and dark purple—merged into one and shot upward at lightning speed, piercing the clouds.
Moments later, the grey sky turned instantly pitch black. Clouds swirled wildly into a massive vortex. Wind howled fiercely, blinding everyone, carrying the thick stench of death. A terrifying phenomenon began to form, shrouding the entire battlefield in eternal darkness.
"THE STORM OF PERDITION!" they shouted in unison.
Inside the storm, there was no escape, no sense of direction, and hope slowly faded into utter despair.
Meanwhile, across the entire continent...
Far from the front lines, in every peaceful kingdom, citizens and nobles alike suddenly looked up at the sky. On the western horizon, directly above the territory of Roses, a gigantic dome of dark purple energy had formed. It was so massive it covered the entire horizon, emitting a sinister aura that chilled them to the bone.
Panic began to spread. The leaders of the realms, sensing the immense danger approaching, immediately summoned their generals.
Kingdom of Abeille.
In the grand throne room, the Queen stood staring into a magic mirror reflecting the image of the black dome.
"Your Majesty! The magical energy emanating from there... its level is beyond our comprehension!" reported a knight breathlessly.
The Queen's gaze sharpened as she gripped her royal staff. "This is not merely a war for land. They are trying to engulf the world in darkness. Call upon the Silver Eagles! We move now!"
Kingdom of Frillen.
In the cold main hall, the King of Frillen studied the strategic map, his face pale yet resolute.
"The Storm of Perdition... the legend is real," whispered an advisor.
The King slammed his hand on the table. "If that dome spreads, the entire continent will lose their sanity! Deploy the Ice Legion! We cannot let Darken win!"
Kingdom of Old Hanks.
The sound of shields and swords clashing rang out. The muscular King chuckled, his eyes burning with fighting spirit.
"Finally... a true enemy has appeared!" he declared. "Iron Soldiers! Prepare the horses and cannons! We will shatter that black wall with our raw power!"
Kingdom of Hachtolf.
High in their mountain fortress, their leader simply nodded coldly.
"If Roses falls, we are next. There is no negotiation," he said shortly. "Call the Archers and Axebearers. Move silently, strike from every direction."
Kingdom of Emberlin.
Campfires blazed brighter than ever. The fiery King of Emberlin raised his sword high.
"Look! The sky is burning with black magic! Shall we stand idly by?!" he shouted.
"NO!!" roared thousands of soldiers in unison.
"Then ignite the flames of war! We will burn that darkness to ash!"
Kingdom of Leonard.
Robert was not here—he was already on the battlefield. But his deputy, sensing the danger signal from his magic bracelet, frowned deeply.
"Young Master Robert has initiated the final phase... but this is too dangerous," he muttered anxiously. "We cannot let this chaos spread. Deploy the Shadow Troops! Secure the borders and aid our allies!"
War trumpets began to blare across every corner of the land. Black smoke rose from fortress chimneys, and the thunderous footsteps of thousands upon thousands of troops moved simultaneously toward a single point: the center of the Black Dome.
The Great War that would unite the entire continent had just begun.
The night wind blew fiercely, carrying the scent of wet earth and thickening magical energy. Inside a small wooden house hidden amidst dense trees, right on the border between the Kingdom of Roses and Zewilste, the atmosphere was calm yet filled with immense pressure.
In that simple room, an elderly woman sat leaning back in a rocking chair. Beside her, a medium-sized Black Wyvern lay still, its glowing red eyes staring straight ahead, as if sensing the same unease.
The old woman gazed out the window. Her wrinkled eyes looked up at the sky, now covered by pitch-black clouds and flashes of purple energy that struck occasionally. Yet, strangely, a faint smile formed on her lips.
"Ah... it has finally begun," she murmured softly, her voice trembling yet calm. "The Storm of Perdition... they are truly reckless."
The Wyvern beside her let out a low hiss, shifting its body closer to its master. The woman gently stroked the black dragon's head.
"You feel it too, don't you, my friend? The balance of the world is shaking. We cannot just sit and watch," she said again.
Slowly, the elderly woman stood up. She closed her eyes, and in an instant, a golden light enveloped her body. The wrinkles on her face vanished, her white hair turned into glossy jet black, and her hunched posture straightened, returning to that of a firm, young woman.
She transformed into Emily Hars, a beautiful young woman radiating an aura of wisdom and immense power.
Simultaneously, the Black Wyvern also changed form. Its scaly body shrank and transformed into elegant attire, or it could remain in its original form but reduced in size to be ridden—whichever was needed.
"It is time we move. We must go meet Fedhilia," Emily whispered.
She stepped out of the house and climbed onto the Wyvern's back. With a powerful beat of its wings, they shot away from the small house, disappearing into the darkness of the night, heading toward the Kingdom of Zewilste.
📍 Kingdom of Zewilste - The Throne Room
The Kingdom of Zewilste was known for its elegance and mesmerizing water elemental magic. But tonight, the palace was filled with tension. Queen Fedhilia Cordoban stood near the large window, watching the black dome spreading across the eastern horizon with a worried expression.
"Your Majesty, the magical energy at the border is unstable. We cannot monitor what is happening inside," reported one of the guards.
Suddenly, the wind in the palace courtyard began to swirl violently. A large shadow landed gently in the main garden. It was the Black Wyvern, and seated upon it was a young woman emitting a mysterious yet peaceful aura.
The palace guards immediately raised their weapons, but Fedhilia raised her hand to signal them to stop. She recognized that aura.
Emily dismounted from the dragon, walking slowly up the palace steps toward the throne room. She carried no weapons, only a simple wooden staff.
"Who dares...?" a guard challenged.
"Let her enter," Fedhilia cut in softly but firmly.
The massive doors opened. Emily stepped inside, her eyes meeting directly with Queen Fedhilia's gaze.
Fedhilia: (Looking intently, slightly surprised but calm) "This aura... I could feel it from miles away. You... you are no ordinary person. Who are you, and what brings you here at a time when the world is in such chaos?"
Emily Hars: (Smiling calmly, bowing slightly in respect) "Peace be with you, Queen Fedhilia. I come not as an enemy, but as someone who has witnessed history repeat itself many times. My name is Emily Hars."
Fedhilia: (Narrowing her eyes, realizing something) "Emily Hars... The name sounds strange yet familiar. You came from the direction of the Roses border, didn't you? Did you see what happened there?"
Emily: "I saw it. 'The Storm of Perdition'... a forbidden spell that should have remained sealed for thousands of years. Bastian, Robert, and Alfrido... they have opened a door that should have never been unlocked."
Fedhilia's face turned pale hearing those names and the name of the spell.
Fedhilia: "So it is true... If that storm spreads, the minds of all living things will be contaminated. They will lose their sanity and kill each other without reason. What can we do? Our forces are not ready for a full-scale war against Darken."
Emily: (Taking a step forward, her voice turning serious) "That is exactly why I am here. You cannot face this alone, Fedhilia. And Darken cannot be allowed to win. I know the origin of this magic, and I know how to stop it... or at least, slow it down."
Fedhilia: (Staring sharply at Emily, searching for honesty in her eyes) "You know how to stop it? But why tell me? You could have simply fled and saved yourself."
Emily: (Smiling sadly as she looked at the dark sky outside) "Because this place is my home too. Besides... the Queen of Zewilste is the only leader who possesses the 'Sacred Heart' capable of resisting the influence of that Perdition. You are the key, Fedhilia."
Fedhilia fell silent for a moment, then took a deep breath. She could feel the sincerity and great power hidden within the young woman standing before her.
Fedhilia: "Very well. I trust you, Emily. But tell me, what is your plan? The other kingdoms are already moving; we do not have much time."
Emily: "We must prepare. First, protect your people with the pure magic of Zewilste. Second... we must join forces with the others. But before that, you need to know the truth about what Darken is truly searching for."
The atmosphere in the throne room softened, yet the tension remained thick in the air. Fedhilia stepped down from her dais, approaching Emily with confident strides. She looked deep into the young woman's eyes, as if trying to read her very thoughts.
"Follow me," Fedhilia said simply. "There is something you must see. Something whose existence is known only to me, not even to my advisors."
Fedhilia led the way through secret passages hidden behind the palace walls. They descended cold, damp stone stairs, going deeper and deeper into the earth beneath the Palace of Zewilste. Only the light of blue crystals illuminated their path.
Finally, they arrived at a vast chamber constructed from solid black granite. The air felt heavy there, filled with wild yet contained magical energy.
"This is the vault where sacred artifacts and ancient relics are kept," Fedhilia explained as she pushed open the heavy iron gates.
In the center of the room, resting on velvet cushions and stone tables, lay items that made Emily's eyes widen in surprise.
- A Dragon Egg, dark red in color with faint glowing golden lines.
- A Griffin Egg, its shell hard as armor, blending silver and bronze hues.
- But the most striking object was a small box made of an unknown metal, placed inside a thick iron cage. The box constantly shifted colors—blue, red, green, to pitch black—at random intervals. With every color change, its aura shifted too; sometimes warm like fire, cold like ice, or heavy like gravity itself.
Emily Hars: (Walking slowly toward the table, her eyes sweeping over each item with a serious gaze) "Hmm... An ancient Fire Dragon egg, and a Wind Griffin egg... Both are species thought to have gone extinct long ago. But that..." (Pointing to the color-shifting box within the cage) "...that is the most dangerous of them all."
Fedhilia Cordoban: "Miners discovered all of this in the deepest caves of the northern border about three months ago. Ever since these objects were brought here, the weather around the palace has become erratic and unstable. I kept them because I felt they were connected to what is happening now... but I dared not touch them, especially that box."
Emily let out a long sigh, then turned to face the guards standing at the door and the attendants following behind. Her gaze was calm yet radiated an authority that no one dared defy.
Emily: "Thank you for placing this trust in me, Fedhilia. But from now on... I ask that everyone please leave."
The guards looked hesitant and glanced at their Queen.
Fedhilia: "Do as she says. Leave us. Close the doors and let no one approach, no matter what you hear from inside."
"Yes, Your Majesty," they answered in unison. The massive stone door closed with a heavy THUD, leaving only Emily and Fedhilia inside the chamber.
Silence reigned supreme, broken only by the faint humming of energy emanating from the mysterious box.
Emily: (Her voice dropped to a serious whisper, her smile replaced by a tense expression) "Fedhilia... you have no idea how lucky you are that these items haven't fallen into the wrong hands. If Darken, or even Roses, knew you possessed these... your borders would be crushed in the blink of an eye."
Fedhilia: (Sensing the shift in atmosphere, she became fully alert) "What do you mean? What is the connection between these eggs, that strange box, and the war that has just begun?"
Emily: (Stepping closer, staring sharply into the Queen's eyes) "Listen closely. What I am about to tell you is a truth that has been hidden for hundreds of years. The Kingdom of Darken and the Kingdom of Roses... they are not the sworn enemies that history books claim they are."
Fedhilia looked shocked. "What? But they have been at war for generations... they are mortal enemies!"
Emily: "That is merely a facade, Fedhilia. There is a great secret behind their relationship. Something dark and terrifying. They pretend to fight, but in reality... they are bound by ties far deeper than anyone could ever imagine."
Emily pointed toward the color-changing box.
Emily: "And this object... is the key to unlocking all those mysteries. And these eggs... are living proof that old legends are not just fairy tales. Darken doesn't simply want to shroud the world in the Storm of Perdition. They are searching for something. And I fear... their ultimate goal is deeply connected to the items in this very room."
Fedhilia: (Stunned, her heart pounding fast) "What secret, Emily? Tell me! What are Darken and Roses truly planning?!"
Emily: (Shaking her head slowly, her face heavy with burden) "It is not yet time to know everything. If you learn it too soon, it could endanger your life and your entire people. All you need to know for now is... we can trust no one but ourselves. Even the most loyal-looking allies may have hidden agendas."
The air in the chamber grew heavier still. The mystery surrounding Darken and Roses loomed over their minds, but one thing was certain: the real game had only just begun, and they were standing right at the very eye of the storm.
The battlefield in the Kingdom of Roses had transformed into hell on earth. Blood flooded the rocky terrain, mixing with mud and the rubble of destroyed buildings. Lifeless bodies lay strewn everywhere—clad in the black armor of Darken and the golden uniforms of Roses. There were no victors, only total destruction.
The sky was completely covered by the Dome of the Storm of Perdition, plunging the world into pitch darkness, illuminated only by flashes of magic and the sparks of clashing steel. Cries of pain and war cries echoed, bouncing off the purple energy walls.
The Roses army was being pushed to the brink of collapse. Their knights fell one by one, unable to withstand the mental pressure and physical oppression radiating from the dome. Their morale shattered, their defenses breached.
Amidst the chaos, one figure stood tall and unshaken, seemingly immune to the despair. It was King Cladimir Darken.
Before him, the five strongest remaining warriors of the alliance surrounded him. They were the last hope still standing.
Cladimir slowly placed his hand on the hilt of the sword at his waist. The blade was sheathed in black leather, yet the deadly aura it emitted was enough to make the very air around them boil.
"You dare face me alone? Such foolish courage," Cladimir spoke in a heavy, cold voice, his sharp eyes scanning each of his five opponents one by one.
To the left stood Eleonor Silvio, the Sword Maiden, gripping her gleaming spear, her hand twitching ready to strike.
Eleonor: "Too much blood of the innocent has been spilled, Cladimir! Today, we end your cruelty here!"
In the center, King Erico Roses, his face contorted with rage and a wound on his forehead, raised his holy sword high.
King Erico: "You have destroyed my kingdom! DIE!!"
However, before they could attack, the tall figure on the right, Aeros Smith, holding a slender rapier, held his companions back.
Aeros Smith: "Easy... Do not let anger cloud your judgment. He is trying to provoke you. Remember, he is alone, we are five."
Meanwhile, on the far right stood King Gavriel of Zewilste, his water aura cold enough to chill the bones, and behind them all, a faint shadow known only as K—the mysterious warrior whose movements were impossible to track.
King Gavriel: "We have no time. This dome is shrinking. Kill him now, or we will be trapped forever."
"Hahahaha!" Cladimir's laughter boomed loudly.
Cladimir: "Five? A nice number. But you forget... in the face of true power, numbers mean nothing!"
SHING!
With lightning speed, Cladimir drew his Black Sword. The moment the blade left its sheath, a violent shockwave exploded outward, forcing the five knights to take a step back. The sword seemed to absorb all light around it, plunging the area into deeper darkness.
"ATTACK!!" shouted King Erico.
⚔️ THE GREAT BATTLE BEGINS!
King Erico lunged forward, the first to strike. He swung his sword with all his might directly at Cladimir's neck.
CLANGGG!
Cladimir blocked it effortlessly with just one hand. The impact was so powerful that Erico's hand went numb. Before Erico could pull his sword back, Cladimir delivered a brutal kick to the Roses King's chest, sending him flying several meters away.
"TAKE THIS!!" screamed Aeros Smith. He spun his body, unleashing a flurry of rapid strikes like falling rain. His rapier created the illusion of a thousand blades.
Yet, Cladimir moved like a ghost. He parried every attack with perfect precision. Sparks flew with every collision of steel.
"You are fast... but still too slow for me!" Cladimir taunted. He countered with a single horizontal slash so fast Aeros barely managed to block it. Aeros' energy shield cracked, and he was blasted backward, gasping for air.
"DON'T GIVE HIM A BREATH!" shouted Eleonor. She leaped high, her spear aimed straight at Cladimir's heart. At the same time, King Gavriel unleashed water magic that formed a massive ice spear, attacking from below to sever Cladimir's legs.
A dual assault from above and below!
Cladimir smirked. He spun his Black Sword at incredible speed, creating a vortex of wind.
CRASH!!
Eleonor's spear snapped in half, and Gavriel's ice magic shattered into pieces before even touching Cladimir's skin.
"What?! Impossible!" Gavriel gasped in shock.
Suddenly, the mysterious figure K moved. She vanished from sight and reappeared directly behind Cladimir, her dagger ready to strike from his blind spot.
"Ssst..." K hissed.
But Cladimir seemed to have eyes in the back of his head. Without even turning around, he kicked backward violently. K's body was sent flying, crashing hard into a stone wall that crumbled upon impact.
Now, all five enemies lay on the ground, wounded and panting heavily. Cladimir walked slowly toward them, his steps heavy and radiating an aura of absolute dominance.
"Is that all the power you have? The strongest Kings and Knights... how disappointing."
He raised his Black Sword high into the air, ready to deliver the killing blow.
"Now... KNEEL AND DIE!"
Blood dripped from the tip of Cladimir's black sword. At his feet, three powerful figures lay completely helpless.
Aeros Smith lay with his chest heaving, breathing raggedly. King Gavriel of Zewilste sat leaning against a pile of rubble, his arm hanging limp from the devastating impact earlier. And Eleonor Silvio, the Sword Maiden, could no longer lift her spear; her body was covered in deep, bleeding cuts.
It was a total defeat. They realized that physical strength and ordinary weapons could never match the King of Darken.
Now, only two figures remained standing, though their breathing was heavy and labored.
King Erico Roses, the ruler of this crumbling nation, and the mysterious warrior known only as K.
They exchanged a brief glance. No words were needed, only a look of mutual understanding. Slowly, Erico sheathed his sword. K did the same, sliding her daggers back into their sheaths at her waist.
"Hah? What are you doing? Giving up already?" Cladimir asked cynically, still holding his blade high.
Erico shook his head, sweat mixed with blood trickling down his jaw. His expression shifted from rage to absolute calm, yet his eyes burned with a fire far hotter than before.
King Erico: "Fighting with weapons... is just a waste of time against a monster like you."
K: (Her voice raspy and cold from behind her mask) "We don't need steel to destroy you... We need the power that comes from life itself."
BUZZZ!!!
Suddenly, a blazing red aura exploded outward from Erico's body, heating the air until it felt scorching hot. At the same time, a dense, oppressive black aura radiated from K, as if the very space around her was shrinking and collapsing.
They assumed a close-combat fighting stance. Right fists pulled back, ready to launch devastating strikes, left feet planted firmly on the cracked earth.
"AURA FIRST... UNLEASH!!" they shouted in unison.
💥 A BRUTAL HAND-TO-HAND COMBAT!
Without warning, Erico moved faster than a bullet. He slid toward Cladimir and threw a powerful straight punch!
BOOM!!
The fist didn't hit flesh, but collided with the compressed wind of Cladimir's magical defense. The sound of impact was like a cannon firing! Cladimir was shocked, forced to take a step back just to absorb the sheer force of the blow.
"What is this?! Physical strength like this... it's impossible!" Cladimir panicked inwardly.
Before Cladimir could counterattack, K appeared on his right side. With wild and agile movements, she unleashed a flurry of attacks—punches, elbows, and lightning-fast low kicks.
BAM! BAM! BAM!
Cladimir was busy blocking with his armored arms. Every time their bodies collided, the sound rang out like a sledgehammer striking solid rock.
"You maniacs!!"
Cladimir tried to swing his Black Sword, but Erico instantly grabbed his wrist with his bare hands!
CRACK!
The sound of bones grinding was heard, and the sword nearly slipped from Cladimir's grip.
King Erico: "DARE NOT USE THAT SWORD AGAIN!!"
Erico forced the blade down with overwhelming strength, then delivered a massive open-palm strike directly into Cladimir's chest!
CRAAASH!!
Cladimir was blasted backward several steps, his chestplate dented severely. Fresh blood trickled from the corner of his mouth. He was actually injured!
"Arghhh!! You... you really want to play dirty?!"
K: "You started it... by killing our friends!"
K leaped high into the air, performing a spinning kick with all her might. Cladimir tried to block, but the force was so great it snapped his head violently to the side.
Cladimir's vision blurred for a split second. That was the opening Erico was waiting for!
King Erico: "THIS... IS FOR ROSES!!"
Erico channeled every ounce of his energy into his right fist. His red aura burned so bright it rivaled the darkness of the dome. He rushed forward, sliding across the ground, and slammed his fist directly into Cladimir's face!
DDOONNNGGG!!!
A massive explosion erupted! Shockwaves swept away all the debris in the vicinity. Cladimir was sent flying far back, crashing into a stone fortress until it crumbled completely.
The Darken King fell to his knees, breathing heavily, his face swollen and bleeding. He stared at the two humans before him with utter disbelief.
These two... had completely turned the tide of battle with nothing but their bare hands!
Dust and rubble slowly settled back to the earth after the massive explosion. Cladimir Darken lay weakly amidst the ruins. Blood poured from the corner of his mouth, his armor was severely dented, and his breathing was heavy and ragged.
He looked up, his blood-red eyes fixed on Erico and K, who stood tall before him. His face was no longer that of arrogance, but of uncontainable rage.
"You... you two... really have driven me to madness..." Cladimir muttered softly, his voice raspy yet laced with deadly threat.
Slowly, he forced himself to stand, despite his body feeling broken. He no longer held his Black Sword, which lay thrown far away. Instead, he took a deep breath, filling his lungs until his chest puffed out.
King Erico: (Readying himself to attack again) "What more can you do, Cladimir? Your strength is spent!"
Cladimir did not answer. He merely grinned—a terrifying, sinister smile.
FIIIIIIUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!
Suddenly, Cladimir emitted a sound. Not a shout, not a spell, but a high-pitched whistle or hiss, sharp and piercing. The sound stabbed into the eardrums, causing everyone still alive—fighting or fallen—to frantically cover their ears.
The sound didn't stop. It rose higher, reaching frequencies unheard by ordinary beings, yet felt like excruciating pain inside the mind.
"AAAAAARRRGGHHH!! MY EARS!!" screamed several conscious soldiers.
Erico and K were also forced to hold their heads, feeling immense pain. However, K did not close her eyes. Behind her mask, she stared straight up at the black sky beyond the dome, her expression turning extremely serious and tense.
Moments later...
On the western horizon, a glowing red dot appeared. It moved at incredible speed, and as it drew closer, its true form became visible.
It was a colossal bird. Not an ordinary creature. Its body was composed of flames that did not merely burn, but killed. Its feathers were pitch black, intertwined with dark purple and blood-red flames that burned eternally without pause.
THE DARK PHOENIX!
The legendary bird flew low, and behind it, a sea of black fire—Dark Flame—followed like a massive tidal wave ready to swallow everything. Wherever it flew, the ground beneath turned barren and black, and the air became so hot it felt like metal was about to melt.
The entire battlefield fell into absolute silence.
War cries stopped. The clashing of steel vanished. Everyone, both Darken and Roses soldiers, stood frozen, staring at the sky with eyes wide open in terror. They were witnessing a living nightmare.
Only the roaring hiss of fire remained, and the beating of giant wings that created hurricane-force winds.
The Dark Phoenix landed not far from Cladimir, shaking the ground violently. It spread its massive wings, shrouding the area in the shadow of death.
King Erico: (Staring in disbelief, his body trembling) "What... what is that...? What creature is that...?"
Cladimir: (Chuckled, then burst into triumphant laughter) "Hahahaha! You thought the Black Sword was my strongest weapon? You were wrong! This... this is the destroyer of everything! The Dark Phoenix will burn this world clean!"
Cladimir pointed at Erico with his bloodied finger.
Cladimir: "FEEL THE ETERNAL FIRES OF HELL!!"
Erico took a step back, genuine fear creeping into his heart. The aura radiated by the bird far exceeded anything he had ever faced before.
However, beside him, K remained standing firm. She did not retreat. She did not look afraid, but her face was filled with despair and extreme vigilance.
K: (Whispered softly, heard only by herself and Erico) "...Don't celebrate yet, Cladimir..."
King Erico: "K... do you know what this thing is? We can beat it, right?"
K: (Shook her head slowly, her voice heavy) "It's not about 'can or cannot', Lord Erico... This creature is a natural disaster given form. The Dark Phoenix..."
K: "And you must know one thing... Its arrival does not mean it is a better weapon for Cladimir..."
K: "It did not come to kill enemies... It came to erase everything that exists in this place. Including... Cladimir himself."
The atmosphere turned suffocating. Black flames began to creep slowly toward them, burning everything they touched without mercy. The real game... had just begun.
WHOOSHHHH!!!
A violent gust of air exploded as the Dark Phoenix spread its wings spanning tens of meters. The black flames engulfing its body roared larger, radiating heat so intense the very air around it vibrated and warped.
Without warning, the giant bird flapped its wings violently.
SHING! SHING! SHING!
Thousands of feathers, forged from solidified fire and sharp as steel blades, shot outward at lightning speed. They were not just projectiles, but lethal burning missiles.
"LOOK OUT!!" someone screamed.
But it was too late. The deadly feathers rained down on the battlefield indiscriminately.
Zzt! Crack! Boom!
Soldiers, both in the black armor of Darken and the golden uniforms of Roses, fell victim alike. Their bodies were pierced, their armor smoking and riddled with holes, and the black fire instantly spread across their skin. Screams of agony echoed everywhere, yet strangely, the flames did not consume them instantly—they inflicted excruciating pain before finally bringing death.
The battlefield had truly become hell. There were no allies or enemies left, only total annihilation.
Amidst the chaos, Cladimir Darken, still clutching his wounded chest, slowly retreated. His cunning eyes saw an opportunity. He cared nothing for his soldiers burning to death. To him, they were merely necessary sacrifices.
Moving swiftly, using the thick smoke and shadows as cover, Cladimir slipped away. He left the front lines, moving silently toward the center of the dome where his Generals—Bastian, Robert, and Alfrido—and the command core were located. He needed to ensure his grand plan continued, even if he had to abandon everything here.
Meanwhile, facing the Phoenix...
King Erico Roses and the mysterious warrior K stood firm, the last remaining barrier.
King Erico: "We can't let those feathers hit anyone else! Protect the survivors!"
K: "I'll take the ones from above! You handle the sides!"
BAM! BAM! BAM!
Erico swung his hands at blinding speeds. With every movement, he deflected or shattered the incoming fire-feathers. His punches created shockwaves that blasted the projectiles away before they could harm others.
On the other side, K moved like a phantom. She leaped, spun, and kicked every feather that came near. Her bare hands even managed to catch some of the sharp blades and throw them safely to the ground before they could detonate.
They successfully blocked almost all the physical attacks. But...
"Hah... hah... We held them off..." Erico panted, but his words died as he looked down.
The ground around them was turning red-hot and melting. The Dark Flame—the sea of black fire left by the Phoenix—began to rise like a tidal wave. This fire was different. It could not be dispersed by simple blows. It consumed energy.
When Erico tried to kick the fire away, his leg felt searingly hot, as if the flames were devouring the magical power inside his very body.
"AAAAHH!! IT BURNS!!" Erico cried out.
K: "DON'T TOUCH IT! THAT IS NOT ORDINARY FIRE! IT EATS OUR ENERGY!"
K quickly grabbed Erico's clothes and pulled him back. But the fire kept rising, surrounding them, forming a towering wall of black flames that sealed off every exit.
They were now trapped on a small island of dry earth amidst a sea of deadly fire. Before them, the Dark Phoenix stared with glowing red eyes, ready to unleash its ultimate attack.
K: (Regulating her breath, her body emitting a thick black aura to resist the heat) "Erico... listen to me. We can't hold out here for long. This fire will erode our defenses until nothing is left."
King Erico: "Then what do we do?! Fly?! We don't have wings!"
K: "We have to strike the core! Directly at the bird's head! If we fail... we will be ash before Cladimir even gets the chance to kill us!"
The Dark Phoenix raised its head high, opening its beak wide. A sphere of pure black fire began to form in its maw, glowing brighter and brighter, signaling that a cataclysmic explosion was imminent!
The heat of the Dark Flame was already burning their skin and draining their energy. The walls of black fire were closing in rapidly, forcing them to act now or be incinerated.
King Erico: "We can't hold on much longer! This fire is eating away my strength!"
K: "Then attack! Don't think, just feel! Follow my lead!"
Without another word, they both shot forward. At first, their movements were separate, but against the Phoenix's relentless assault, their bodies seemed to connect through a shared instinct.
Erico moved forward as the shield, blocking the waves of heat with his blazing red aura. K moved around his sides and back, searching for openings. They began to move in perfect harmony. Every time Erico struck left, K kicked right, creating currents of wind that pushed the flames away from their bodies.
"NOW!!" K shouted.
K leaped high into the air, soaring above Erico. In mid-jump, her hand moved swiftly to her waist.
SHING!!
A weapon emerged. It was a unique Chain Whip. The handle was made of black bone, but the chain itself shifted forms—sometimes appearing like molten metal, sometimes turning into sharp thorns, or extending like pure energy itself.
"HAAAAAAA!!"
K swung the weapon wildly and ferociously.
WHOOSH! WHOOSH! CRACK! BOOM!!
The whip struck the Dark Phoenix's body repeatedly. Every time it touched the bird's fiery feathers, small explosions rang out and sparks of purple light scattered everywhere. K paid no heed to her own defense; she attacked relentlessly, striking the head, wings, and neck of the giant beast with explosive rage.
Dark Phoenix: KRRRAAAAAAWWWWWW!!!
The legendary bird roared in pain and fury. The flames erupting from its body grew even more violent as the whip managed to pierce its tough hide.
King Erico: (Shouting from below) "AMAZING K!! KEEP ATTACKING!!"
K: "YOU DAMN BIRD OF ASHES!! TAKE THIS!! BREAK!!"
K spun the whip at incredible speed, creating a wind shield, then yanked it back hard and lashed out directly at the Phoenix's eye!
SLAAASSHH!!!
The attack hit perfectly! The Dark Phoenix shrieked loudly, its head snapping backward, and the flames it released became wild and unstable.
However, despite the injury, the legendary beast did not fall. It flapped its wings violently, creating a shockwave that blasted K back down to the ground.
THUD!
K landed hard on one knee, breathing heavily. The whip in her hand still crackled with residual energy.
K: "Argh... Its hide is harder than diamond... I only managed to scratch the surface..."
King Erico: (Rushing over to shield her) "Are you alright?! That was an incredible hit! But why isn't it dead?!"
K: (Wiping blood from her lips) "Because it is not a living creature... It is the manifestation of death fire itself. We have to cut off its energy source... or..."
The Dark Phoenix's eyes blazed bright red once more. It lowered its head, staring down at the two tiny humans who dared to wound it with a deadly gaze. The roaring sound of fire building in its beak grew louder and more menacing.
K: "Or we have to trick it into destroying itself..."
K stood tall once more, her breathing heavy but her eyes turned cold and sharp. She released her coiled whip, then slowly moved her right hand toward her left hip.
Tied there was a sword sheath that looked ancient, worn out, and its handle seemed cracked, as if it were no longer usable.
King Erico: "What... what sword is that, K? I've never seen you use it before."
K: (Her voice low and heavy) "This is not a weapon for killing... this is a sword to 'sever' fate. I have kept it hidden for so long because I feared its power... but today, there is no other choice."
SHING...
The moment the blade was pulled out, the air around them seemed to be sucked away completely.
The sword indeed looked damaged, broken at the tip, and its surface covered in scratches. Yet, the moment it left the sheath, a Greyish-Black Energy exploded outward with terrifying force. It was not hot, but incredibly cold, oppressive, and heavy like death itself. This aura caused the surrounding Dark Flames to dim and recoil, afraid to approach.
On the other side, seeing his partner readying her ultimate weapon, King Erico would not be outdone. He drew his Holy Sword of Roses once more.
NGGGGGOOOOOONNNN!!!
Blinding light radiated from Erico's blade. The aura was no longer merely red, but a deep Crimson mixed with Golden brilliance. The light was warm, blazing, and filled with an unyielding fighting spirit.
Now stood two figures with opposing yet perfectly complementary auras: Grey-Black (Death/Stillness) and Red-Gold (Life/Burning Passion).
The Dark Phoenix felt the threat. It roared loudly, the flames on its body surging larger, ready to devour them both.
K: "Erico! Strategy change! I will cut off its 'life force', you destroy its 'physical body'!"
King Erico: "Understood! Let's end this NOW!!"
They shot forward simultaneously, moving in completely different ways.
K moved straight and fast like a shadow. She raised her broken sword high into the air. The greyish-black energy formed a gigantic blade in the sky.
K: "SECOND SWORD TECHNIQUE: SPIRIT SEVER!!"
SWISHHH!!!
The sword slashed downward. This attack did not target the Phoenix's physical body, but aimed directly at the core of energy residing in its chest. The black wave shot forth, and upon contact, the flames were sliced cleanly apart, as if space and time themselves had been torn asunder!
Dark Phoenix: KRRRAAAA!!!
The bird was stunned; its life force was severed for a moment, its body stiffening, and the flames around it dimmed drastically. That was the opening Erico was waiting for!
King Erico: "THIS... IS FOR ALL THOSE WHO HAVE FALLEN!!"
Erico leaped high into the sky, positioning himself directly above the Phoenix's head. The crimson-golden aura on his sword exploded into a massive fireball. He poured every last ounce of remaining energy into this single strike.
King Erico: "TAKE THIS... 'RETURN TO HELL'!!"
BYAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
The golden sword struck directly into the Dark Phoenix's neck!
A cataclysmic explosion erupted! Red-Gold light mixed with Dark-Grey shadows, detonating with power that destroyed everything within a radius of tens of meters.
TRRRRAAAAAAKKKK!!!
The massive body of the Dark Phoenix was slammed violently into the ground. The earth shook violently, dust flew everywhere, and the raging sea of Dark Flames began to flicker and die out, their source severed.
Slowly, the smoke cleared.
The once-mighty Dark Phoenix was now clearly seen covered in cracks. Its flames no longer burned fiercely, but merely smoldered like dying embers. The beast tried to rise, but its legs gave way, collapsing back down.
Erico and K landed on the ground, both falling to their knees, breathing raggedly, their hands trembling as they gripped their sword hilts.
King Erico: (Panting, a wide smile forming) "Hah... hah... We... we actually wounded it... Your sword... it's truly incredible, K..."
K: (Looking at her sword still humming with residual energy, then slowly sheathing it) "This sword... consumes a great deal of life force... But at least... that monster can no longer attack recklessly."
They looked ahead. The Dark Phoenix was severely injured, but not yet dead. It was still alive, its eyes staring at them with hatred, but now... there was also fear.
In the distance, hidden behind the shadows of the ruins, Cladimir watched everything, closing his eyes with a face contorted in rage.
Cladimir: "You useless trash... even a Phoenix can be beaten by lowly humans...?"Dust slowly began to settle. Amidst the ruins and dying embers, the figure of Cladimir Darken emerged slowly from the shadows of the broken walls. His face was still covered in blood, yet his gaze was no longer that of a wounded man—it was cold, arrogant, and absolute.
He walked calmly past Erico and K, stopping right before the massive body of the Dark Phoenix, which now lay helpless, breathing raggedly, its flames almost extinguished.
King Erico: "You coward! You only appear when your enemy has exhausted all their strength!!" Erico shouted, his voice boiling with rage.
Cladimir did not turn around. He simply raised his blood-stained hand and began to gently stroke the giant bird's neck, as if caressing his own pet.
"Rest now... my old friend... You have fought well..." Cladimir whispered softly, yet his voice carried clearly to them.
He then looked up, staring at Erico and K with an infuriating smirk.
Cladimir: "You two are truly remarkable. To bring this sacred beast down to such a state... I should commend you. But unfortunately... you misunderstand one crucial thing."
Cladimir patted the Phoenix's chest gently.
Cladimir: "The Dark Phoenix is not merely a weapon of war... It is a part of my very soul. The fire that burns within its body... is the same fire that flows through my veins."
Suddenly, Cladimir's palm glowed with a pitch-black light.
ZZZZZZTTTT!!!
A deafening sucking sound erupted. Cladimir began absorbing the remaining black flames surrounding the Phoenix. The chaotic fires that were burning the earth were now pulled into Cladimir's body like rivers returning to their source.
Wounds on Cladimir's body closed instantly. His lost strength returned fully, and then multiplied, becoming far greater than before! The aura he emitted now was so heavy it cracked the very ground beneath him.
King Erico: "What... what is he doing?! Is he healing himself using the Phoenix's power?!"
K: (Her face turned deathly pale) "Not just healing... he is forcing the Phoenix to transcend its own limits! He is pushing it beyond the boundary of death itself!"
True enough. Once Cladimir felt satisfied, he pushed the energy back into the creature.
BOOOOMMM!!!
The once-weak Dark Phoenix suddenly exploded back to life in flames far darker and hotter than before! Its eyes no longer glowed red, but a deep, ominous dark purple. Its body became sleeker yet more lethal, and the fire it exuded now felt like it burned the soul, not just the flesh.
The Phoenix rose again, more powerful and majestic than ever!
Cladimir: (Staring at Erico and K with eyes that had turned into vertical pupils, like a bird of prey) "Now... the real game begins. I no longer need to hold a sword or give orders. Let the flames devour you."
Cladimir pointed toward the two of them.
Cladimir: "Eat them alive... and leave not a single bone intact, my friend."
Dark Phoenix: SKRRAAAAAAWWWWWW!!!
With impossible speed, the beast lunged forward. Its fiery claws struck directly at Erico.
CLANGGG!!
Erico raised his golden sword with immense effort to block. Sparks flew everywhere, and Erico's arms trembled violently under the weight of power that had doubled.
King Erico: "AAAAARRRGGHHH!! ITS POWER HAS INCREASED DRAMATICALLY!!"
On the other side, K moved alone to intercept the wing. She slashed with her broken sword, which radiated that greyish aura.
TRANG!!
K's strike managed to halt the wing, but the recoil sent her crashing hard into a solid stone wall.
K: "Argh! Its body is now harder than steel! And the fire... it sticks to everything!"
Indeed, wherever the black fire touched the ground or armor, it never extinguished, continuously spreading into new seas of flame that surrounded them tighter and tighter.
Cladimir merely stood still behind the Phoenix, watching them casually as if observing a show.
Cladimir: "How does it feel? That fire is called the Eternal Flame. Once it sticks, it will never go out until everything is turned to ash. You cannot win, you cannot even survive."
King Erico: (Staring at Cladimir with wide eyes, breathing heavily) "You... you are a true monster..."
Cladimir: "Me? I am simply someone who wishes to cleanse this world of filth like you."
The situation was now completely one-sided. Erico and K were forced to retreat, bleeding, and the flames began to lick at their bodies. Victory was firmly within Cladimir's grasp.
Is this the end? Or is there one last miracle they can perform?!
