Chapter 78: the troubles of the villains
"That is all I know about my brother…" After Ron to her this he turned to Jack and said. "I have told the truth about my brother, are you happy now." Jack nodded and Ron left angrily. He is angry because he was unable to enter into the Quidditch team like Harry.
But even in anger he don't want to break the oath he took so as to not to lose magic. Also in his anger he told things that he should not say out loud in the spur of moment. Also his words are mixed with both lies and truth.
With his words Jack let him go and there are only two people left in this place. One is Jack and the other is Penelope. Her eyes startled for a moment and she looked disappointed. Now she looked at Jack for a while and then said.
"Since you won the bet, tell me what you want from me."
She asked Jack with a little hostility. Well her love is broken because of the revealed secret. No one can digest this kind of thing easily because it is her first love. Anyone can tell how one will feel if that first love heart was broken in disappointment.
Even if she deceives herself and wanted to believe in Percy Weasley, after knowing his thoughts she can never go back to how things are before. So the hostility began from her broken heart.
She thought that Jack did this on purpose with impure motives. So she is showing hostility openly. Jack smiled at her and said.
"I don't need anything from you. Even though my family belongs to pure blood enthusiasts, I respect hard working people. Even though you are from a muggle family you have a great potential to become a strong witch.
I just don't want you to fall into the hands of an ambitious prick like Percy. What I want is for you to stay safe. I don't want you to give away your preciousness to others and regret it later. Even with all the magic in the world, you cannot get the medicine for regret. That is all…"
Jack said and left. If Jack tried to hit on her now then he would be implicated and directly branded as a bad person. Jack doesn't want that to happen. So he told some caution to her like a good guy and left. But his words are clear. What he meant is.
"Don't give your body, heart and virginity to some stupid ambitious idiot that wanted to use you for his benefits. There are good people like me in this world that is waiting for a beauty like you."
Well he is not a good guy in heart but at least he is a good guy for his girls. With the words Jack smiled again and left back to his classes and work. After Jack left Penelope has a complicated face because she did not understand Jack.
She thought that she misunderstood him. Even though the Ravenclaw people are supposed to be clever, when it comes to love things takes different turns. Well her future was changed by Jack so she no longer has any thoughts about Percy or love for the time being.
She would concentrate on her studies from now one. Jack returned to his daily life but he did not forget to look at one of the important incident. This incident is related to Hermione being called by Draco as mud blood.
In response Ron would cast a spell to make the target through up slugs. Unfortunately because of his broken wand the spell rebounds and Ron started to through up the slugs. This is a spectacular incident that Jack wanted to see.
But he would not act. This is a sensitive issue related to pure bloods and mud bloods. Him acting right now would destroy his image and cause some serious problems later. If one wants to act, one has to have enough background and support to act.
Not everyone can be as reckless as protagonist and easily live without a care in the world. Being a villain Jack needs to take every step carefully. On the sides of every step there is an endless abyss waiting for him with open arms.
Any wrong move can cause severe problems for him and his future plans and actions. With that Jack was silent during the entire incident and did not even show his face during that time as if he was not there.
After this incident there is commotion in the school about Draco buying his way into the Quidditch team of the school as a seeker. Naturally this is the retaliation against Draco revealing his secret. Jack immediately got another idea.
It is a profitable one at that. Since one house has the new nimbus 2001 then it would be unfair to play like this. The best way to resolve this is the upgrade all the broom sticks and gear of other houses too.
If not they can simply restrict Slytherin from using new nimbus 2001. For this Jack don't have act personally and put his face in front of everyone again. Jack immediately wrote few letters and sent them to different people.
One letter is to Rita Skeeter to publish a special article about unfairness in Quidditch in Hogwarts about both Draco and Harry using new broomsticks. Both of them are from good family backgrounds and this would create big incident.
Second letter is to the broom stick company to contact the management at the right time to sell brooms at a little lower price to get the big order. Of course Jack would get his profit from this venture.
Third letter is the goblin manager Davis to intervene in this matter and get Jack's share of money from the broomstick company. This is the money for his idea so he has to get a little more for commission other than the usual share that he gets.
Chapter 46: I want your first kiss as the price for the information
Hermione looked around coming out of her dazed state and found that there is nothing wrong here. It should be one of the mysteries of Hogwarts. It is really a peaceful place to study. She likes to study and this place fits the bill perfectly like a library.
It is more than perfect in her thoughts. While she is thinking she came forward collecting her strength to speak with Jack. She wanted to apologize for her behavior in the past few days and also thank him for saving her from the troll.
When she came forward from the place she was previously hiding Jack put down his book and looked at Hermione with a smile. For some reason Hermione has a bad feeling looking into the eyes and smile of Jack right now.
But she did not think about it and said. "Jack, I am really sorry for my behavior before and thank you for saving me from the troll that day. If it was not for you coming for rescue me, Harry and Ron would have died that day…."
She spoke looking straight into the eyes of Jack wanted to know how he reacts to her. Jack did not show any change in expression from the start to the end. Finally when she stopped he spoke.
"It is okay miss granger, I can understand. I have already predicted that you hate me because of others words don't you. See it has happened. Also let me make one more thing clear miss granger. I am really not a good guy.
But I am not a bad guy either. I am a simple business man. If you want anything you can exchange with me for an equivalent price that I evaluate and we can exchange if we both agree on the terms. This would be the best way for me to be with other people, I think."
Hermione, when she heard that Jack called her miss granger instead of Hermione, She knows that Jack is still angry even though he did not show that on his face and there is a clear wedge between them.
Also when he said that he is okay with her apology she felt a little relieved. But, when she heard his later part of the words that is about his nature and taking everything as business, has made her sad.
She thought that because everyone is avoiding him because of his father has made him like this. At least that is what she thought. But no one is actually avoiding him. Instead it was Harry and that are being avoided even now because of their pervert reputation still going strong.

Originally she should leave here as soon as possible but she suddenly remembered that Jack also reads many books. She wanted to know about Nicolas Flamel. Since, Jack wanted to do everything as business then she would contact him through business.
She did not have any thoughts of getting close to Jack. Instead she wanted to help a friend in sadness. She thought that what she is doing is a noble thing. So she immediately asked.
"Jack, do you know who Nicolas Flamel is?"
She did not use the family name of Jack like he is calling her miss granger so that he would feel close to her. Jack looked at her and said.
"Nicolas Flamel, Yes I know him. I can give you the information for a price…"
Before Jack completed his words Hermione spoke.
"I will complete your homework for a week as price. So can you tell me about Nicolas Flamel?"
Jack smiled amusingly and said.
"Miss Granger, you should be joking right. I have seen your people getting your heads burst open to search all the books to find about Nicolas Flamel. You are telling me that the cost of this information is as simple as completing my homework for a week.
You are not the one that would decide the price. I am the one to decide the price. Based on my analysis and all your anxious search of all the books in the library, the information is very valuable. So the price of the information will also change."
Hermione looked at Jack and asked him straight.
"What is the price, do you want money and other things."
Jack smiled and replied.
"Miss Granger, I want your first lip to lip kiss as the price for the information."
Hermione was immediately shocked and blushed glaring at Jack. But Jack did not care about her glare and said.
"I know it is a big price for you to decide on immediately. So go back and think about it. May be you would find the information you are looking for. If not you can always come to look for me."
Right before this Jack received a choice from the villain system.
"Ding
Host, please make your choice.
Choice 1: host has to gain the first kiss of the protagonist's woman by any means necessary.
Rewards would be decided based on the person that gives their first kiss to the host.
Choice 2: host would not receive the first kiss of the protagonist's woman.
The women of the host would accidentally give kisses to other people."
This is the first time Jack saw that the system giving penalty or punishment like thing. He doesn't like that. He is possessive in nature and do not like anyone stealing kisses from his women.
He can have any number of women but his women can only have him. He gave kisses to both Pansy and Daphne as soon as he came to the school as he marked them as his women. But that did not change from the fact that he did not complete the choice.
He felt that the system is fishy to some extent. There are slight problems and he might have to guard against it. As a villain himself he can understand that other villains are not as good natured as him.
