Man proposes, but God disposes. The Two-Tails Jinchuriki, Yugito Nii, had been carelessly captured by Konoha's Hiruko and taken back for research and imprisonment. Had all four Tailed Beasts gathered on this battlefield, their combined might would have been apocalyptic, and the probability of taking down the three Konoha legends would have been far higher.
However, the tide of war shifts in the blink of an eye.
Tsunade, relying on her peerless command skills and raw power, held the Konoha defense line as steady as a mountain. In contrast, the shinobi legions of the Cloud and Stone were beginning to buckle. The hot-tempered Fourth Raikage, A, watching Tsunade lead Konoha in a slaughter of his men, felt as though his teeth would shatter from clenching them so hard. His eyes were bloodshot, veins bulging on his forehead as he let out a primal roar: "Bastards!"
"Calm down, A! This is exactly when you must keep your head!" Onoki shouted from the side, though his own heart was racing with an anxiety he couldn't hide.
At this moment, the Raikage and Tsuchikage looked as though they were on the verge of madness. Onoki took a deep breath, his hands blurring into seals. "Particle Style: Atomic Dismantling Jutsu!" Transparent cubes of pure destruction flew from his hands, disintegrating Hiruko's wooden barriers with the ease of a hot knife through butter.
The Fourth Raikage became a blur of vengeful lightning. Wrapped in his Lightning Style Chakra Mode, he tore through the battlefield with suicidal abandon, trading wounds for strikes in a desperate attempt to break the rhythm of the four Konoha masters.
As the battle reached a fever pitch, the remote Wood Style Hiruko had manifested began to fail. These plants, which relied on siphoning chakra to sustain their growth, suffered a violent backlash from the sheer density of the Tailed Beast energy they were consuming. Chakra is not a harmless fuel; the Wood Style plants reached their structural limit. In a violent tremor, the thirty-six giant trees warped, withered, and exploded into a cloud of splinters and dust.
Just as the enemy thought they had a chance, Konoha's reinforcements arrived like gods descending from the heavens.
At the head of the group was Tsunade. Though she still struggled with hemophobia, Hiruko's recent "therapy" had cleared the worst of her mental blocks. Even at sixty or seventy percent of her peak, her instinctual combat prowess was a force of nature.
Following her was the scheming Danzo. His arm was wrapped in thick, blood-stained bandages—a souvenir from a botched assassination attempt on an enemy commander who had been better prepared than expected. It was a close call that left him looking uncharacteristically haggard. Beside him stood Uchiha Fugaku, drenched in blood from leading the frontline charge.
"Hokage-sama, we are here!" Fugaku shouted to Minato.
The Wood Style may have collapsed, but the Tailed Beasts were already regenerating. Gyuki, the Eight-Tails, surged with a fresh wave of chakra. Killer B, coughing up blood but ignoring his broken ribs, charged back into the fray.
"Split them up! Don't let them regroup!" B roared, his eight tails lashing out to shatter Konoha's formation.
"In your dreams!"
The two sides collided like converging tsunamis. The "A-B Brothers" were legendary for their ferocity. In their youth, their Double Lariat was a death sentence. Back then, even Minato had chosen to avoid a direct head-on clash with their combined momentum.
But the battlefield had changed. B was in his Version 2 state, radiating a chilling aura, while Minato's own mastery had reached new heights. Fugaku engaged Hanzo in a desperate duel, keeping the Demi-God occupied.
Minato now faced the full fury of the A-B Brothers alone.
The sky turned a bruised purple as lightning danced across the clouds. Minato's golden hair was plastered to his forehead with sweat. His breathing was ragged; the constant use of Flying Raijin to weave between the Raikage's extreme speed and B's overwhelming chakra had pushed his reserves to the brink.
"Yellow Flash, you're slowing down!" A roared, his footsteps leaving charred craters in the earth.
Killer B's sunglasses glinted with a dangerous light. "Yo! Bakayaro! Konoyaro! This is the end! Eight-Tails!!!" Eight chakra tentacles erupted from his back, sealing off every possible escape route for the Hokage.
Minato gripped his special kunai, preparing for a final, desperate gamble—
"That's enough."
A cold, detached voice sliced through the chaos. Time seemed to freeze; even the Raikage's lightning and B's red chakra flickered for a heartbeat.
Minato turned in surprise to see a man in a high-collared white robe stepping out from the shadows of the forest. His long silver hair was tied back loosely, his face pale and handsome. Most striking were his heterochromatic eyes: the left a standard dark hue, the right a haunting, ghostly grey-white.
"Senior Hiruko?" Minato recognized the mysterious scientist. "How did you..."
"I was afraid you'd flip the car," Hiruko said, cutting him off with a slight raise of his hand. "It seems I arrived just in time."
The Raikage skidded to a halt, muscles coiling like springs. "Another Konoha rat! B, watch out. This one is wrong."
B's sunglasses slipped, revealing eyes wide with shock. "Brother... his chakra... it's weird..."
Hiruko ignored them, walking elegantly to Minato's side. His grey-white right eye spun slowly. "Minato-kun, please step back and rest. I will handle this."
"But Senior, they are—"
"I know." Hiruko's lips curled into a faint, enigmatic smile. "The Fourth Raikage and the Eight-Tails Jinchuriki. Excellent experimental subjects."
"Arrogant!" A exploded. He pushed his Lightning Style to the absolute limit, becoming a bolt of blue light aimed straight at Hiruko's heart.
Faced with a blow that could level a mountain, Hiruko merely raised his right hand. "Five Senses Control: Visual Deprivation."
In an instant, the world changed for the Raikage. He thought he was striking Hiruko, but his fist passed through a phantom. Suddenly, Hiruko's silhouette split into dozens of copies, surrounding him.
"Genjutsu? Release!" A formed a seal, but to his horror, nothing happened.
"It's useless, A," Hiruko's voice echoed from every direction. This wasn't a standard illusion; it was a direct hijacking of the Raikage's optic nerves. He thought he was weaving signs, but in reality, his hands hadn't moved an inch.
Meanwhile, B saw something entirely different. He watched in terror as the Raikage suddenly turned and struck him. "Brother?! What are you doing?!" B dodged, but a graze from A's fist left a bloody furrow on his cheek.
"B! Where are you? I can't see you!" A's voice was filled with a frantic, blind rage.
Minato watched, speechless. From his perspective, the Raikage was spinning in circles like a headless fly before starting a brawl with B, who was desperately trying to defend himself. Hiruko simply stood there, his right eye glowing with an eerie light.
"Is this... the Kurama clan's Bloodline Limit?" Minato whispered.
"Five Senses Control," Hiruko corrected with a slight nod. The ultimate hypnosis. No seals required, and no conventional way to break it.
B finally realized the gravity of the situation. Inside him, Gyuki roared: B! This isn't normal! Go Full Tailed Beast Mode!
"Dammit!" B gritted his teeth, releasing a torrent of chakra. "Eight-Tails: Full Transformation!"
Blood-red chakra began to manifest the colossal form of the Ox-Ape. But then, Hiruko's left eye turned that same ghostly grey-white.
"Five Senses Control: Tactile Distortion."
B let out a scream of agony. He felt as though his chakra pathways were being pierced by millions of needles. His energy flow became a chaotic mess. Worse, while he tried to release chakra, his nerves told him he was absorbing it. The contradiction forced his transformation to collapse.
"Your chakra... follows your nervous system," Hiruko said softly as he walked toward the writhing B. "If I control your nerves, I control your ability to perceive your own power."
Hearing B's screams, the Raikage went berserk. "Bastard! What did you do to B?!" He swung blindly, lightning arcing everywhere, but he couldn't even brush Hiruko's sleeve.
"So noisy." Hiruko sighed. He appeared behind the Raikage in a blur, holding a slender, high-frequency vibration particle blade. "Since you care so much for your brother, remember this lesson with your body."
A flash of steel.
"AAAAAARRGH!" The Raikage let out a sky-shaking roar. His right arm was severed clean at the shoulder, blood spraying onto the parched earth.
"BROTHER!" B's eyes went wide with fury. He forced himself through the sensory distortion, his chakra exploding one last time. He didn't try to transform; he used a burst of Version 2 speed to snatch the Raikage and his severed arm.
He sprayed a massive cloud of ink, leaving behind a severed tentacle as a decoy to mask their escape.
Hiruko didn't chase. He watched the ink cloud vanish into the distance, then casually picked up the severed Eight-Tails tentacle and sealed it away. His particle blade hissed as the last drop of blood evaporated before he sheathed it.
"You're not going after them?" Minato asked, still wary.
"The goal is achieved. This body has limitations; it cannot sustain prolonged combat," Hiruko said, his eyes returning to normal. "Letting the Cloud know that Konoha possesses a power they cannot comprehend is enough."
Hiruko had left the "Brute" alive on purpose.
Minato bowed deeply. "Thank you for the support, Senior. Without you, today might have been..."
"No need," Hiruko waved him off. "I am a member of the Leaf."
Before Minato could respond, Hiruko's form began to dissipate like mist. His blade clattered to the ground.
"Take the sword back for me! And the Raikage's arm... and the Eight-Tails seal!"
"The Kurama clan's ability... is truly terrifying," Minato murmured, standing in the silence of the aftermath.
The battle had left him shaken—not just by Hiruko's near-invincible sensory control, but by the effortless, almost bored grace with which he had dismantled two of the world's strongest fighters.
"Is this the true strength of the Leaf...?" Minato muttered, before vanishing in a golden flash.
As the rest of the Konoha forces witnessed Hiruko's overwhelming victory, a wave of cheering erupted, shaking the very air. In the crowd, shinobi embraced, their eyes shining with a new kind of reverence. Hiruko was... truly something else.
