Getting to his room,he had a quick shower and came downstairs
"Isn't she here yet?". He asked Natalie as he entered the dinning area and noticed Lily wasn't there
" Nope"
'Who knows maybe she's wanted to look hot.....,hot??, just for breakfast?, that's ridiculous '. Natalie thought chuckling as she waved the idea away
Smith frowned,his eyebrows pulling together
"What's funny?". He asked sitting down
Natalie looked at him,her eyes widening , brows raised
"No.... nothing.... just some careless tho.....
She was interrupted be the steps she heard on the stairs
"Wow " she whispered
Lily was wearing a simple short sleeveless sundress which fit her body so well. She hadn't packed her hair as usual,she let it down,the strands resting delicately along her shoulders. She is so cute. Natalie was wearing a soft smile,her lips spreading wide across her face. She couldn't believe she is admiring a fellow woman this much

"Sorry I'm late,it was hard choosing what to wear ". Lily said in an apologetic tone,her eyes pleading
"I'm glad you took your time,you made a perfect choice,this dress fits you so well". Natalie said and pulled a chair for her to sit
"Thanks sweetie". Lily said with a half smile,her tone tinged with sadness like someone who had just been scolded.
Natalie noticed her change of tone
'I didn't say anything wrong did I?' she asked within herself
"Won't you say something...nice?". Natalie whispered to Smith
He glared at her,his eyes giving a silent warning
"Oh". She straighted her face." Sorry.., I'll leave you both now". She dashed into the kitchen. The one thing she hated and feared most was smith's anger. He was like a beast when he was angry
Lily chuckled lightly at how fast she ran. 'Does she always have to be dramatic?'
She glanced at the table her eyes widening
"All these for breakfast?". She asked staring at the variety of food
She looked at Smith,he had already served himself and was eating, clearly not minding her. She pouted. 'A good husband is supposed to dish out food for his woman right?...very well then, he's not a good husband '
The food looked rich and inviting. Anyone could tell it would taste amazing. She closed her eyes,inhaled softly,and smiled as the aroma filled the air
Tuffle scrambled eggs, avocado toast topped with poached eggs, cherry tomatoes and micro Greens, Smoked salmon croissant, eggs Benedict, shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, buttermilk biscuits with gourmet spreads Greek yogurt parfait, seasonal fruit platter, artisan pastries... and then smoothies,one of her favorite
"We are not having a festival,are we?. If I continue eating all these as breakfast,I might actually get fat". She muttered, serving herself
Smith watch her stuff food in her mouth and smiled.
'why does she eat like a child?'
Lily turned to look at him,he was staring at her with a blank expression. He wore a questioning look, brows sightly raised, staring deep into her eyes.
She gave a shy smile, and quickly looked away.
She couldn't be more embarrassed. She dropped the cutlery she was using to eat
"Uhmm..". She reached out for the napkin
Smith handed it to her and scoffed
"You can eat slowly you know, the food is not running away". He said with a smirk, clearly enjoying the reaction on her face
She chucked dryly,her face reddened from embarrassment, though she tried to hide it
"I'm kinda like a foodie". She explained
'Anything to get out from this awkwardness' she screamed Internally
"Mm hmm". Smith nodded, still eating
'Heavens control my anger'. Annoyance flashing across her face,she squeezed her hands. Rolling her eyes,she took a sip of her smoothie.
"I love eating good food by the way ".
She froze, shock spread across her face
' did I just say that loud?,ohhhh Godddd'. She leaned back slowly,taking the smoothie
"Oh" Smith said, dropping his cutlery. He wiped his mouth with a napkin and stood s
up. "You can have all of it"
Lily's eyes widened,she sat up straight
" That's not what I meant..."
She started choking on her drink
"thanks a lot" she added sacarstically, raising her thumb,while coughing."I'm full".
Smith looked at her in amusement, suppressing a laugh.' what a character '
She stood and headed upstairs
"Don't cough out the good food". He said absent mindedly, a mischievous smile on his lips
"Drama queen". He muttered
"Natalie!"
Natalie rushed out of the kitchen
"Sir"
She looked at the table and frowned . They hadn't eat much,
'wasn't the food good enough?'
She trusted her mom's cooking,so she shook the thought away
"Where's miss Lily?" She asked, looking around
Smith glanced towards the stairs
"Pack these up and microwave it for her,I'll be in the study" .
He walked away
