I did not what occurred but as Alpha Alexander lunged at Patrick time felt like it almost stood still. The air around us cooled, while the older man simply raised his hand and what could only be a flicker of light emanated from it. I felt as if my eyes widened in shock. I did not know what the light coming from Patrick's hand was, but it had my Alpha falling to the ground. Leaving myself and Alpha Alexander looking toward the pack elder in confusion...
