There was a sense of dread at Althea's words. All the times Kael had spoken of that day, and there had been many, as he had attempted to encourage Grace to talk about her memories of it with him, never had he mentioned anyone else. There had been a brief mention of those he had travelled with. A group there on a training exercise, including his father, family and other senior pack members. But when he spoke of the incident, there was never mention of anyone but us. So, had someone been trying to harm Kael that day? It would not even be harm, they would have been trying to kill him...
Fear gripped me at the thought. "What older boy?" I whispered.
"A boy there with the others. Training I assume if the boy that was there was the young Alpha. A number of years older than him though. He all but led him to the river. It was clear to see his plan."
