Chapter 15 - The Accusation, The completion was a joke.

Nowa was familiar with this scent, the very reality being injected by malware for god knows what for. 'This level is not a narrative layer. It's at its maximum effect…' He didn't look behind him. "Reimu, your world is not doing well. This is a reality malware. I must use the environmental mana. Let me operate it." His tone was serious, lacking its masked persona. But there was no response. "Reimu?" He finally turned to look back.

The world was still. Utterly still. Marisa hung frozen mid-air, mouth open. Reimu was suspended in a motionless flight towards him. Not a leaf stirred.

"Temporal stasis? No... the causality is still intact. This is a full-system pause..." he muttered.

The silence that answered was not an absence of sound, but a presence. An immense, listening pressure. Then, the words formed in his mind, not as a sound, but as a decree: ["I HAVE SUSPENDED THE CYCLE. I HAVE STILLED THE FLOW. THIS REALITY IS IN MY EYE."]

He quickly scanned his surroundings. "The owner..? No, the power is weaker…" he muttered. He then yelled. "Who are you? Show yourself!"

The air vibrated, the ground shook. ["I AM THE ORDER AND STRUCTURE OF THIS SANCTUARY. YOU ARE AN ANOMALY, YOUR POWER IS A TOXIN TO LIFE. YOU'VE CAUSED THIS MALWARE. LEAVE."]

"What? No bitch, this wasn't my doing—" He replied, his tone dangerously calm. "Anyway. Who the fuck are you? Are you…" A familiar, predatory smile spread across his face. "A self-proclaimed 'Order of balance'?"

The air itself grows heavy, the frozen leaves on the trees beginning to crack and turn to dust from the sheer pressure of its attention. ["A TOXIN THAT RECOGNIZES ITS OWN KIND. YOU CONFIRM YOUR NATURE. YOU HAVE STOOD BEFORE GUARDIANS AND FOUND THEM WANTING. YOU HAVE JUDGED THE JUDGES. THIS IS THE ULTIMATE ARROGANCE OF THE VOID."]

Nowa's predatory smile faltered, as he touched his cheeks. 'Shit. I let my old self resurface.'

The frozen sky began to bleed of oppressive color, like tarnished gold. ["I AM NOT AN 'ORDER.' I AM THE ORDER. THE FIRST LAW. THE FOUNDATION UPON WHICH THIS SANCTUARY WAS BUILT UPON. YOU ARE NOT A FELLOW RESIDENCE. YOU ARE A CANCER TO THIS WORLD. AND I AM THE LAW THAT BANISH SICKNESS FROM THE FLESH OF WORLDS."]

"Lies… or maybe, it's an…" He muttered. Suddenly a pattern of light in the sky forming a colossal, draconic eye. The gravity around him increased tenfold. He gritted his teeth, his form distorting yet a grin formed on his face. ["YOU HAVE ONE MINUTE TO ERASE YOUR PRESENCE FROM THIS SOIL. PLUCK THE RUNES FROM YOUR SOUL. DISMANTLE THE WEAPONS OF YOUR WILL. BECOME NOTHING. OR I WILL UNWEAVE YOU FROM THE TAPESTRY OF CREATION, AND EVERY WORLD YOU HAVE EVER TOUCHED WILL FORGET YOU EVER WERE THERE."]

Nowa met this eye in the sky and let out a scoff. "Copying me now? Go ahead I'd appreciate it, if you can that is. but I ain't done with this deal with Yukari. It's within our three day deal, where I help your world and I wander around to find this completion."

There was a long pause. Then suddenly the colossal eye in the sky blaze with the light of a dying star. Nowa form collapsed… or so you thought. It shattered like glass as he was standing still in the illusion, unbothered and unmoving, nothing of these effects affected him. "Are you done copying me? If so, then step aside."

The dying star light of its eye had intensified, not just over the shrine, but over all of Gensokyo, then at the Moon, then the entire dimension. It was pouring its entire will into the command to "unweave" this anomaly, a direct inversion of the creation it always wove into the land. The frozen world around them begins to groan and strain under the pressure, cracks of raw cosmic energy appearing in the air. Yet none of it affected him. A voice now trembling with a fury that is starting to be laced with confusion. ["YOU... DO NOT... FADE. YOU ARE AN IMPOSSIBILITY. AN ERROR IN THE EXISTENCE OF ALL THAT IS. TO BE. UNMADE."]

Nowa ignored him and everything, then began walking in the air forward. He showed his right palm to himself. He began incantating his own narrative. "Story rewrite:"

[EXECUTING...]

"Unlocking the full potential of 50modules Author. Soul exchange," The reality itself began to flicker for a short moment upon withstanding his authorship. He stopped walking, his palm glowed like a new birth of star, its light buried all the shadows then he aimed his now glowing palm towards the slowly leaking reality malware in the sky. "I. am. The Erasure. The Human Gateway of oblivion, Heed my voice, and cleanse this narrative of corruption."

The Dragon God(?) felt the sensation it has never known: a threat to its own eternal, foundational being. Its voice lost all fury and trembled with something far worse: dread. Whispers that crack the frozen sky. ["WHAT... WHAT ARE YOU DOING? ARE YOU REWRITING THE STORIES FOUNDATIONS? YOU ARE THREATENING THE PAPER IT IS PRINTED ON. STOP AT ONCE."]

Yukari now exited her boundary in a panic and confronted the two absolute beings. "ENOUGH!" The word ripple through the space, a desperate attempt to carve a sliver of negotiation from the collision of two absolutes. She continued, her voice sharp and swift, aimed at the Dragon God. "Great Dragon! You see his nature! You see he can erase the corruption that you cannot touch! He is the only solution to the poison invading our domain! Stand aside, and let him do his work, however bitter it may be!"

The rune glowed on his hand that lightened the whole realm. Then a shattered glass can be heard.

!

[COMMAND_EXECUTED._NARRATIVE_CORRUPTION_ALPHA PURGED.]

The colossal eye and Yukari scanned the area and looked for any damage in the land and reality. There was only a chilling none, not even a dead life. It was unchanged, it was safe. The reality malware that just injected reality and was gone. Nowa staggered his air walking, distorted breath ragged, yet he let out a chuckled smile. "Satisfied? I cleaned up this mess that you fuckers don't even try to metaphysica—" His mana and movement stuttered.

'He did it. He cleansed the malware. Without a single casualty. Not a blade of grass harmed. This... this is beyond any power I theorized. This is not a tool; this is a fundamental law walking in a man's skin.' Yukari's eyes locked with Nowa. "Beckitzer...?" Her voice was uncharacteristically small, all her strategic composure gone.

The Dragon God's colossal eye slowly blinked. ["YOU. WHY? WHAT ARE YOU PLANNING? ARE YOU TRYING TO DOMINATE ALL THE WOMEN HERE IN GENSOKYO?"]

 Nowa's face darkened. "Excuse me?"

Yukari hurriedly interrupts. "Wait Great Dragon! You—"

["THIS PLACE IS FULL OF WOMEN, AND WHAT YOU'RE DOING IS MAKING THEM SUBMIT TO YOU?"]

Nowa stared at the sky, then turned to Yukari, then to Reimu and Marisa's still form. The horror dawned on him. "So this realm is… a paradise for… women." Nowa lowered his head. "I see," he muttered, the words hollow. "So all that 'completion' talk… it was a joke, wasn't it?"

He raised his head. The smile was gone. The predatory grin was gone. All that remained was a hollow, bone-deep weariness. His voice was dangerously soft, a stark contrast to the cosmic confrontation that had just occurred.

"A joke," he repeated, the word a final verdict. "The donation. The cooking. The roomba. Protecting their innocence and this world from a corruption even its shallow god couldn't touch. Just... tactics. All of it. Just steps in a plan where my 'completion' is to... what? Build a harem?" He looked directly at Yukari, his eyes utterly empty. "Is that what you see? A useful monster to be pointed at your problems, who you have to keep pacified with women until the local god gets nervous about my 'intentions'?"

Yukari, her composure shattered, desperately reached out. "Nowa, no! Listen to me! It doesn't understand! It is a primordial force; it doesn't think in terms of—"

["SILENCE, BOUNDARY MANIPULATOR. YOUR SCHEMES HAVE UNLEASHED A PLAGUE UPON THE SANCTUARY. HE ADMITS TO HIS NATURE."]

Nowa looked at the sky and let out a single, sharp, apathetic laugh, closing his eyes as if in pain. "I see it now," he said, his voice barely a whisper. He turned his back on the god and the strategist, his gaze falling upon the still forms of Reimu and Marisa. A flicker of profound sadness crossed his face before it was extinguished by absolute resignation.

"I was getting soft. I was… I was planning to extend the deal. I was starting to believe I could make a connection here. I was about to ask permission to design runes for a permanent, symbiotic defense grid for this realm." He let out a weary sigh that seemed to carry the weight of the end. "I was right all along. There is no redemption for me. No connection to be made."

He took a step, then another, walking away without a single backward glance. "Aight. I'm out. Gud luck mother fuckers." He paused. "Oh, and here is my advice." Not even looking back at them. The air itself stilled to hear his final, somber pronouncement.

'The real foundation is absent, they have no idea about meta-story warfare, a new layer I've discovered fighting pantheons and metanarrative enemies.'

He gave them the final verdict. "Your world is fucked."

There was a moment of perfect, horrifying silence. The Dragon God's voice returned, not as a boom, but as a confused, almost plaintive ripple in reality, the sound of a fundamental law discovering it had made a catastrophic, irreversible error.

["WAIT. WHAT? THAT WAS… YOUR PLAN? IT WAS FOR THIS? WAIT! ANOMALY! WAIT!"]

But Nowa Beckitzer didn't wait. He simply walked, his form beginning to flicker at the edges as he prepared to step out of a world that had just confirmed his deepest, most self-destructive truth.
