Chapter 51 - Getting Used to It

Adrian smiled to himself as he rested on the couch with Shion. He pulled the exhausted girl into his lap, letting her lean against his chest as he gently stroked her short blonde hair. The open white jacket still hung loosely on her shoulders, her perky breasts exposed as she panted softly, cum still leaking from her well-fucked pussy.

He opened the System window with a casual thought, checking his current Villain Points.

Villain Points: 52,847

Adrian let out a low chuckle, shaking his head in amusement.

'Just three days ago I was sitting at over 100,000 VP. Now I'm down to half of that.'

He had only purchased three items, yet they had drained a huge portion of his Villain Points immediately. Still, he had no regrets. As far as he was concerned, they were a necessary investment.

His gaze drifted down to Shion, who was resting quietly in his lap, still recovering from her first time as a girl.

Once the plan involving Natsuha was over, Adrian found himself thinking about what to do with Shion. The delinquent had outlived his usefulness as a test subject, and with his loyalty firmly ingrained, Adrian could simply leave him alone from this point forward.

Even so, the thought of letting him walk away didn't sit well with him, Shion after all had laid his hands on Natsuha.

Even if it had all been his plan, and every action unfolding exactly as he intended, that fact of him touching what was his was enough to make him consider putting the man down. He needed to get used to killing sooner or later anyway.

In the end, however, he decided against it.

With Tougou having died just barely two days ago. Shion suddenly turning up dead as well would inevitably attract unwanted attention, with two people from the same school dying in such a short span of time suspicions are bound to happen. That was a risk Adrian had no intention of taking.

So since killing Shion was off the table, Adrian shifted his attention elsewhere. The System Shop. In there he intended to see if anything might help him. And lo and behold, as he browsed through the countless items, one item made him pause.

Genderbending Pills.

It costs about 10,000 VP with each bottle containing fifty pills.

The moment he read the description, an idea quickly took shape in his mind.

As for avoiding suspicion from the people who knew Shion, the solution was surprisingly simple. The pills worked on both men and women, meaning Shion could simply return to his original male form. But for the time being, while they're still together this form would serve him better.

Adrian looked down at the girl resting against him, a satisfied smile on his face.

He then leaned back on the sofa, with one arm around Shion as he closed his eyes for a moment, savoring the quiet after the intense day.

- - - - -

Three days have passed in a blink of an eye.

And the school bell rang as loudly as ever, signaling the end of another school day.

Students poured out of the classrooms, chatting excitedly as they headed toward the gates. Adrian walked down the hallway with a relaxed smile, his bag slung over one shoulder. Natsuha was on his left, holding his arm possessively, while Nagisa walked on his right, occasionally brushing against him with a playful grin.

The two girls still argued from time to time, but the hostility between them had mostly faded, replaced by a playful sense of rivalry. Since the "incident," they had grown unexpectedly close. Before long, the two of them, along with Chiaki and Yukiko, were regularly spending their lunch breaks and free time at school with Adrian.

Though right after a day with Natsuha and Nagisa tag teaming Adrian inside of a hotel. Nagisa surprised Natsuha by bringing along the two, at first Natsuha was vehemently against it but with a little dicking from Adrian, she relented in exhaustion.

They were undeniably closer now, but old habits didn't disappear overnight.

Natsuha glanced at Nagisa with a small pout as they walked down the hallway.

"...You're coming again today?"

Nagisa nodded without hesitation.

"Of course. We've been getting along so well lately, haven't we? I figured that meant I could spend more time with the both of you together."

Natsuha's cheeks puffed out slightly, her grip on Adrian's arm tightening possessively.

"But you brought Chiaki and Yukiko without telling me first… and then had him with them almost all day yesterday. Today should be my turn after school."

Nagisa giggled, leaning even closer to Adrian and pressing her body against his right arm.

"Aww, don't be like that. We can share him, can't we? Besides, last time when we tag-teamed him at the hotel and then the next day after, Adrian fucked the shit out of all four of us, you seemed to enjoy it~"

Natsuha's face turned bright red. She looked away, trying to hide her embarrassment.

"You… you don't have to say it like that in the hallway…"

Nagisa just laughed softly.

"But it's true, isn't it? You were moaning so loudly that day. I think you liked it more than you want to admit."

Natsuha huffed, her grip on Adrian's arm tightening.

"Even if I did… that doesn't mean you can just decide everything. Today should still be my turn."

Chiaki and Yukiko, walking a few steps ahead, exchanged amused glances.

Chiaki shook her head with a grin.

"You two are going to wear Adrian out at this rate."

Yukiko smiled shyly, her cheeks slightly pink.

"I-I think it's nice that we're all getting along better now…"

Adrian chuckled, pulling both Natsuha and Nagisa closer with one arm around each.

"You two can share, relax~ There's enough of me for everyone. No need to fight over it every day."

The girls exchanged a look, then both nodded reluctantly.

"Fine." Natsuha muttered.

"Okay~ But I get to sit on your lap at the cafe." Nagisa added quickly, sticking her tongue out at Natsuha.

Adrian chuckled softly, but his expression turned slightly apologetic as they approached the school gate.

"Actually… I can't go with you girls today."

The girls stopped in their tracks, turning to look at him with surprised expressions.

Natsuha's grip on his arm tightened immediately.

"Eh? Why not?"

Nagisa pouted, tilting her head.

"Yeah, what's going on?"

Chiaki and Yukiko also looked curious, waiting for his answer.

Adrian kept his expression relaxed, giving them a small, apologetic smile.

"I just have something I need to take care of every Friday from now on… It's really important. I'll make it up to you guys next after school."

Natsuha's pout deepened.

"Fine, I get it. You always have something important coming out of nowhere whenever."

Chiaki crossed her arms with a teasing smile on her face.

"Heh, you better not be getting more girls without us knowing~ Otherwise we'll drain the heck outta you!"

Yukiko nodded shyly, her cheeks pink.

"Um, then Adrian, if what you need to do is done early we can wait for you. Oh and please don't push yourself too hard."

Natsuha sighed, still holding his arm a little longer before reluctantly letting go.

"Fine… but you better make it up to me. No excuses."

Nagisa pouted but eventually nodded.

"Okay… but you really better come if it's done done, alright?"

Adrian smiled, kissing each of them lightly on the lips.

"Don't worry and go enjoy the cafe. I'll see you all later if I can."

The girls waved goodbye and headed off toward the cafe, their voices fading as they chatted and laughed among themselves.

Adrian watched them go for a moment, then turned and walked in the opposite direction, his expression growing serious.

He left the school grounds behind, heading toward the poorer parts of the city. The areas where vagrants and homeless people gathered. People who wouldn't be missed. People whose disappearance wouldn't raise too many questions.

He couldn't allow himself to become too comfortable with this peaceful life. The warmth of the girls by his side, their laughter, the quiet happiness they shared, the pleasures... it was all too easy to lose himself in it. He couldn't afford that. If he wanted to keep moving forward, he needed to remain sharp, decisive, and more ruthless.

So every Friday, he would do this.

Adrian's jaw tightened as he walked deeper into the city's shadows.

'This is necessary. Sooner or later, I'll have to cross that line again. I need to get used to it now or else something worse might happen. Besides, I need the points.'

He continued walking until he reached the outskirts of the old industrial district.

The streets had long fallen into neglect, littered with overflowing garbage and lined with crumbling buildings stained by years of decay. The damp, musty air hung heavily around him. In the alleys and beneath patched-together shelters, a handful of homeless people sought refuge, little more than ghosts to the rest of society.

Adrian moved carefully through the shadows, keeping his steps light and staying close to the walls. He wasn't particularly skilled at stealth but the deserted streets made up for his lack of experience.

His heart pounded against his chest as he approached a lone man slumped against a wall, a bottle hanging loosely from one hand. Adrian looked around the surroundings one last time to make sure no one else was nearby.

He then approached slowly, trying to stay out of the man's direct line of sight.

The man still noticed him and looked up, eyes bleary.

"Got any spare change, kid?"

Adrian didn't answer. He simply reached out, placing a hand on the man's shoulder as he activated Advanced Mental Command.

"Stay quiet. Don't move."

The man's eyes glazed over. Adrian moved quickly, his hand covering the man's mouth as he slit his throat with a knife from his inventory.

The man struggled for a few seconds, then went limp.

Adrian's heart was pounding hard in his chest as he stared down at the lifeless body. This was only his second kill, and the familiar wave of nausea hit him again. His hands trembled slightly as he wiped the knife clean on the man's clothes.

'This nauseating feeling is something I need to get rid of. I can't afford to feel sick after killing someone, if I hesitate even for a second, that hesitation could get me killed.'

He gripped his hands tightly and took a deep breath, forcing the nausea back down.

"Hooo…"

His breathing gradually steadied.

The pounding in his chest remained, but the trembling in his fingers slowly subsided. Adrian lowered his gaze to the corpse lying at his feet.

Now comes the troublesome part. Disposing of the body.

Dragging it through the district would leave a trail. Even if no one saw him, it was still an unnecessary risk. Fortunately, Adrian possessed something no ordinary killer ever could.

An Inventory.

He wasn't sure whether the Inventory could store a human body, even if it was already dead. He tried using it on a living person before... Shion... It didn't work.

Adrian crouched beside the corpse, his brows knitting together. Well, there is only one way to find out.

He reached out and rested a hand on the dead man's shoulder.

'Store.'

For a brief moment, the body started to dissolve into countless motes of light before vanishing completely.

Adrian's eyes widened ever so slightly.

"...It worked."

The patch of stained concrete where the corpse had been was all that remained.

He immediately opened his inventory and sure enough, among the countless empty slots, a new entry had appeared.

[Male Corpse]

A slow smile tugged at the corner of Adrian's lips, pleased that the Inventory had worked.

Then the reality of it all caught up to him.

His growing smile froze. Somewhere inside his inventory, now rested a corpse of a man he had just killed. A life extinguished by his own hands. The person was not even an enemy, nor was it someone who had wronged him. It was just a nameless man whose future, whatever it might have been, had ended in a filthy alley because he needed to get used to killing.

Nausea hit all at once again, his stomach twisted violently.

"Ugh..."

Adrian staggered a step before doubling over. This time, he couldn't suppress the nausea. He vomited onto the cracked pavement, his breathing turning ragged as he gripped his knees, unable to stop the image from replaying in his mind.

It wasn't even the killing that got him, it was the thought that a human corpse was now inside his inventory that made his stomach churn all over again. From now on, every time he opens his inventory, he will be reminded of what he's done.

He was now going to be walking around with a dead body tucked away in another space and no one would ever know, except him.

The realization made his skin crawl.

Adrian gritted his teeth and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, his breathing still ragged. He forced himself to stand straight, leaning against the cold wall for support as he tried to steady his nerves.

'Fuck… This is harder than I expected.'

Clenching his fists, Adrian discharged a burst of lightning onto the puddle of vomit, scorching it away until nothing remained. He wasn't about to leave behind even the smallest piece of evidence that could be traced back to him.

'But this is what I need.'

He repeated the thought like a mantra, pushing down the lingering nausea. The image of the man's lifeless eyes kept flashing in his mind, but he refused to let it paralyze him.

'One kill per Friday. That's the limit I'll be able to do. I'll get used to it eventually.'

Adrian took one last deep breath, then straightened his clothes and walked out of the alley. By the time he reached the main street, his expression had returned to normal, calm, collected, the same relaxed smile he wore at school.

No one would ever suspect what he had just done.

He checked his System notification.

Villain Points: +20,000

A small, bitter smile tugged at his lips.

At least the points are coming in.

He made his way back toward his apartment, deciding against meeting the girls at the cafe. The corpse resting silently inside his Inventory lingered at the back of his mind, a constant reminder of the path he had chosen.

==========

AN: Tbh, I've been debating on whether to make the kills be determined by a persons future, but I decided against it. It's going to be too much to handle. Atleast this will make him be more cruel in the future, like Wine Drinking System said, when desperate enough people are willing to do anything.

Of course I still won't do shis like Ntr be done to MC or netorase because I really loathe when it happens whether it's the games I'm playing or fics that I'm reading. And of course if it's netori on the other hand... Heh.

Anyways, Have a nice week!
