He smiled at me and took the soap and began to wash my body with the particular attention of someone who had decided to do this properly. He was gentle in the places that needed gentleness and considerably less so when it came to scrubbing my back with the loofah, and I moaned that he needed to go harder and was not remotely prepared for how good it felt. I had never been able to reach the middle of my own back properly and the relief of having it actually scrubbed was extraordinary. He laughed at me as I made sounds that were far too dramatic for what was essentially just good exfoliation, and was careful and unhurried when he moved to the more sensitive areas. I winced slightly at some points and was genuinely grateful for how mindful he was being.
