TRIGER WARNIG : bloody fights
My pack hit the clearing like a wave breaking, tearing into the enemy from every direction. Snarls and the crack of teeth filled the air that had been quiet moments before.
I turned to Raven, who was still curled on the ground with her hair falling across her face. I crouched beside her and placed my hand gently on her shoulder. She flinched and looked up fast, her eyes wide with alarm, and I gave her the calmest smile I could manage over the noise of the fight around us.
"We need to get you out of the middle of this," I said loudly.
She looked around at the chaos and then nodded. She took my offered hand without hesitation and I felt the small sound she made when she put weight on her leg as she stood. She was protecting it, keeping the pressure off one side.
I pressed my good hand back against my shoulder wound, blood seeping steadily through my fingers. Raven pushed her hair back from her face and her eyes landed on the blood immediately.
