"You will have to take me there one day," I said.
His eyes lit up and he laughed. "I would love nothing more. The Lycan family called Terra lives high in the mountains so their territory is best avoided in winter, far too much snow for my liking. Our other cousin group, Cyrus, live further down at the mid-range, which is where I spend the colder months. Our own bloodline lived at the base of the mountain. Our group name was Hala."
"Terra," I repeated. "That means earth, does it not?"
He smiled and nodded. "It does. They all carry a meaning. Earth, sun and moon."
"Why the strange names?" I laughed.
He shrugged with a grin. "The Moon Goddess must have been bored when she was handing them out. Pollux Hala sounds rather peculiar when you say it out loud."
I smiled back at him. "Nova Hala is not much better."
He leaned forward in his chair and pointed at me with a knowing look. "Cassie Hala, remember. That is the name you were given."
