Chapter 128 - Chapter 127 Deities were bound by rules

In her dream, she had talked with Flora for a long time. From that gentle deity, she hadn't gained much information; there were many important things that Flora indicated she could not say.

"After all, I am a deity; there are many things I cannot say, and cannot do."

Deities were bound by rules; this was the greatest achievement of Letitia's trip. Wanting to defeat a deity head-on was extremely, extremely difficult, but once the corresponding method was found, defeating a deity would become very,'simple'.

"You look very beautiful when you're asleep." Melanie didn't know what Letitia had experienced last night; she thought Letitia was simply tired and wanted to rest.

Little did she know, the girl's body was held in her arms, but the girl's soul had run off to another place to rendezvous with another young girl.

Perhaps this, too, was a kind of Minotaur situation.

"Does that need you to say it?" Regarding Melanie's flattery, Letitia remained indifferent. She gently pushed Melanie away. "Get off me, I'm getting up."

Then she pleasantly discovered that the discomfort in her body had weakened significantly. Although she still felt a bit weak, compared to the situation two days ago where she couldn't even walk steadily, it was much better.

Was her own body strong? Or was it a small gift from Flora?

Letitia didn't know, and couldn't be bothered to think about it; in any case, it wasn't a bad thing.

"Actually, you could sleep a little longer." Melanie was somewhat reluctant; she still wanted to hold her for a while longer.

Regarding Melanie's suggestion, Letitia rolled her eyes unceremoniously. "Don't you push your luck. Letting you hold me while I sleep for one night is already my biggest concession. Hurry up and let go."

She wasn't a pig to sleep for so long every day. Even if she really wanted to sleep that long, she didn't really want to sleep in Melanie's arms.

It wasn't that sleeping there was uncomfortable; on the contrary, sleeping at Melanie's place was very comfortable, and it even gave Letitia the thought that sleeping here all the time wouldn't be bad.

However, she cared about her reputation.

If she kept sleeping here, wouldn't that mean she had succumbed to Melanie?

Sleeping there occasionally, Letitia could still persuade herself that it was a transaction, completely devoid of other emotions. But if she did it every day, Letitia would really start to doubt whether she had been bewitched by beauty.

A femme fatale, that Melanie was a complete femme fatale.

Sleep wasn't just sleep; this was a manifestation of Letitia's determination never to succumb to beauty!

"Oh." Melanie reluctantly loosened her arms and let Letitia out of her embrace. "What are your plans for today?"

"Have you developed dementia or something?" Letitia sat on the edge of the bed and said to Melanie with some impatience, "I'm going to work on Eriko's mindset."

"I thought you would drag it out for a few days..."

"I want to drag it out too, but is the current situation suitable for that?" The Elf Race could show up at the door at any time. Although with Melanie here, she didn't need to worry about safety, it was still a nuisance, no matter what.

Letitia's idea was that if she couldn't convince Eriko, she would slip away immediately, return to the Demon Race, and come back after things here were finished.

Whether Eriko lived or died, it didn't matter to her anyway. This Half-Elf girl had nothing to do with her; she was just a stranger she had met a few times. Even if this girl were to be captured by the Elf Race right in front of Letitia's eyes, she wouldn't even blink.

As for the matter Flora entrusted to her... to be reasonable, if Eriko refused to communicate, was Letitia supposed to just use a soul-searching technique to forcibly search Eriko's memory?

After that search, Eriko wouldn't need to be captured back by the Elf Race; she could just go straight to a mental hospital to live.

Putting on her slippers, Letitia planned to go back home first to wash up and have breakfast.

Passing by the living room, she found that Yori was actually not there, which was truly surprising. Did this little girl get up so early even on weekends?

Walking to the front door to check, the shoes were there, but the slippers were gone.

Still sleeping?

But there was no third person's aura here.

That's really strange.

So, where on earth had Yori gone?

The answer was very simple: Yori had gone to Letitia's home.

Seeing her haggard-looking younger sister and the energetic Yori in the dining room, Letitia's clever little brain went into a state of downtime for a moment.

Uh, what's going on here?

Yori was still wearing pajamas; could it be that she slept here last night?

"Good morning, Quinn." The little girl greeted Letitia very happily.

"Mm, good morning." Letitia replied, while simultaneously frantically asking Kira with her eyes what the hell was going on.

"Yesterday, Miss Yori rested in Your Majesty's room." Luna leaned into Letitia's ear and whispered, "It seems Her Highness did not rest well last night."

Even a fool could see that.

Not everyone was like Letitia, sleeping dead to the world in the arms of someone they weren't very familiar with.

"You guys eat first, I'm going to wash my face and change clothes."

Because she had to go have a heart-to-heart with Eriko later, Letitia specifically asked Luna to prepare a more decent outfit for her. She couldn't go and be a big sister confidante while wearing pajamas, could she?

A black and white long dress, the hem almost covering her ankles, revealing only that pair of small feet covered in white silk stockings. Shame to say, Letitia had gradually become accustomed to wearing long stockings, although, she had been quite used to them years ago as well.

"Very pretty." Yori gave Letitia a thumbs up.

"I personally feel it's a bit troublesome to wear." Letitia sat down at the dining table with a helpless expression. This dress looked simple, but it was actually quite complicated to put on. "Did you sleep with Little Lu yesterday, Yori?"

"Yeah, yeah, Little Lu's reaction was super cute, her face was all red, just like a big apple." Yori said to Letitia very excitedly.

Hearing Yori's words, Kira covered her face with both hands on the side.

It's over; her sister still found out about her embarrassing performance.

"By the way, by the way, Quinn, you slept with my sister yesterday, right? Did anything happen at night? Did it, did it?" Facts proved that this girl, Yori, was indeed Melanie's biological sister.

Their thoughts were the same—filthy.
