"Mission: [Newborn in Chaos]"
"Introduction: The Church, the nobility, mysterious organizations... All of Suramar has become a chessboard, and you are but a pawn."
"Use everything at your disposal to plunge this city into complete chaos and disorder—only then can you escape in the confusion... perhaps?"
"Mission Reward: Card Draw Opportunity x2"
A mission had finally been triggered.
Seeing the mission notification, Syl breathed a sigh of relief.
But when she saw the mission's content, her brow furrowed slightly.
This mission... was it asking her to break free from The Church's control and leave Suramar?
The Church had various Rank 5 Archbishops and even the Pope; how could Syl possibly escape from them?
Plunging Suramar into chaos and disorder... did it mean provoking conflict between The Church and other mysterious organizations to flip the chessboard entirely?
Without any help, relying entirely on herself?
Syl suddenly remembered something and looked at Fina, who was currently watching her with a beaming smile.
Was this the system's purpose? Did the system feel that with Fina around, I would have a chance to disrupt the entire situation in Suramar?
It's just that if things went this way, who knew how many lives would be lost in the chaos?
Syl let out a soft sigh.
Although she had been inexplicably chosen as the Saintess, she was no "Holy Mother." Compared to the lives of everyone in the city, Syl still felt her own life was more important.
"Mentor, mentor, what should we do now?" Fina looked eager to try, excitedly waving her fists as she spoke. "Are we going to start the next plan? Should we create some incidents to make the people of Ivisa clash with the army? Or should we just hand out guns to the civilians..."
Fina grew more animated as she spoke, looking as if she couldn't wait to follow Syl and stir up a major storm in Ivisa.
But Syl couldn't indulge her madness right now. It was almost time for her to return, and she needed to get back to the Holy See.
Once Sharon noticed something was wrong and couldn't find her, Syl might not be able to explain her whereabouts, leading to a crisis of being confined.
"There's no rush. We'll talk about it tomorrow." Syl waved her hand and adjusted her bow tie. "Getting good sleep is very important."
Of course, this was just an excuse Syl came up with on the spot.
Fina naturally noticed the dismissive tone, and she looked a bit saddened.
Then, as if suddenly thinking of something, Fina asked:
"Am I staying at your house tonight, Mentor?"
"Huh?"
While Syl was still wondering where Fina's thoughts had jumped to, Fina had already lowered her head slightly, looking up at Syl with a faint blush on her face. She explained:
"Isn't that how it is... you know, those 'hidden rules'? I've heard of them... after a mentor takes on a student, they don't teach anything until the student offers themselves to the mentor..."
Syl immediately understood what Fina meant and interrupted, "You think I'm that kind of person?"
"I hope you're that kind of person... No!" Fina seemed to realize she had said something she shouldn't have and quickly corrected herself. "I mean, if that were the case, Fina wouldn't refuse..."
This time, not only Syl, but even the Joker was left speechless by Fina.
If it were the Casanova, he certainly wouldn't have passed up this opportunity. However, Syl, influenced by the Joker's state of mind, only wanted to focus on the mission and creating chaos, not giving a single thought to romance.
"...Right now, I just need you to get a good night's sleep and then change into clean clothes," Syl stepped forward and patted Fina's shoulder. "By the way, submit a proposal tomorrow. I want to see your ability to handle things."
Syl's initial words made Fina's heart flutter with joy.
Mentor! She's worried about me!
Only then did Fina consider Syl's question.
"A proposal? What proposal?" Fina blinked, not quite understanding what Syl meant by preparing a proposal.
Seeing Fina's expression, Syl knew she must have been thinking about something else just now, smiling like a girl in love.
Letting out a soft sigh, Syl felt like she had found a rather unreliable student.
Being so unreliable, how did she manage to advance all the way to Rank 4? Was it just incredible luck? Or was such an optimistic mindset necessary for advancement?
It was true that being a bit dim-witted made it harder to go insane.
"It's homework for you..." Syl instinctively reached out and flicked Fina's forehead. "Write a report for me titled 'On the Feasibility of Spreading Riots to the Entirety of Suramar—Taking the Ivisa District as an Example.' I'll check it tomorrow."
After being flicked, Fina covered her forehead, her eyes filled with disbelief... Mentor... Mentor... she touched my head!
"I don't know what you're thinking, but did you actually understand what I just said?" Syl looked at Fina's infatuated expression and took a deep breath, suppressing the urge to pinch her cheeks hard.
How could a beautiful girl with an elven appearance be so slow-witted?
"I'll write it! I promise to finish it tonight!" Fina nodded rapidly. She could tell from the title of the report that her mentor was truly going to start training her in the knowledge of rioting.
And... the entirety of Suramar... Fina's eyes gradually brightened, and an uncontrollable, wicked smile crept onto the corners of her mouth. A terrifying aura inadvertently began to spread.
She could almost see it—her and her mentor turning the entirety of Suramar into a lawless wasteland.
The former paupers becoming rioters, trampling upon the corpses of those who once looked down on them, insulting them at will.
Perhaps once all this was completed, Fina's Potion would be successfully digested.
"Then Mentor, where shall we meet tomorrow?" Fina asked, as this was her primary concern.
After speaking, Fina seemed to think of something else and quickly added, "Or rather, where do you live? I can bring the report to you tomorrow."
Syl lowered her head to think for a moment before replying:
"There's no need. Let's just meet here again tomorrow. Let's set the time for 7 AM."
"Okay!" Fina nodded, then stood slightly on her tiptoes and asked, "Then, should I see you back?"
"Go back on your own, I still have things to do." Syl waved her hand as she turned and walked deep into the alley. "See you tomorrow."
"See you tomorrow!!!" Fina raised her hand high and waved. She didn't leave until Syl's figure disappeared at the end of the alley.
After standing there for nearly ten minutes, Fina finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"There's absolutely no scent of a Potion... but even her casual speech has the effect of mental pollution..."
"Has Mentor already completely mastered her Mythical Form? That's the symbol of Rank 6..."
Fina felt her hands trembling with excitement. In an era where everyone was locked at Rank 5, to be able to see a living figure who might be Rank 6—and for that person to be her mentor...
It made Fina feel as if she were on a high, both excited and invigorated.
And Mentor is also super pretty~
Fina hummed excitedly as she picked up the paintbrush that had fallen to the ground in her excitement, continuing her earlier painting.
Suddenly, as if she had thought of something, she beckoned toward the alley entrance. The corpse that had committed suicide earlier crawled slowly toward her and stood up unsteadily.
Fina reached out with her right hand, holding the paintbrush, and stabbed it into the soldier's still-bleeding chest, soaking the brush in blood.
She turned to the wall and made a stroke; a bloody smiley face appeared on the Joker's portrait on the wall.
The paintbrush slipped from Fina's hand. She took a slow step forward, opened her arms, and pressed her whole body against the portrait of the Joker.
"Mentor..."
