Chapter 124 - Chapter 124: Hang That Factory Owner! 3/5

If people couldn't be found in the South District, then they must all be in the Iviza West District now.

Syl pulled up the hood of her cloak and tucked her long white hair inside so she wouldn't look so conspicuous at night.

On the way to the Iviza West District, the closer she got, the more people Syl saw.

There were also many armed soldiers dispersing the crowd. From time to time, sounds of shoving and cursing could be heard, and people were constantly being arrested.

The entire block had fallen into chaotic disorder, but the storefronts along the street showed no signs of being smashed or looted.

However, at this rate, it would only be a matter of time before these storefronts were smashed.

After a long period without work and without pay, the rioters would eventually loot the food shops on the street, if only for the sake of food.

"This doesn't seem very good..." Syl pinched her chin with her right hand, thinking of a countermeasure.

To be honest, she still didn't really want to see this scene happen.

Soon, Syl walked against the flow of people until she reached the vicinity of the Iviza West District.

The noise of the crowd gradually grew deafening.

Just like during normal shift changes, the Iviza West District was noisy at night.

But they weren't discussing trivial matters or what to eat for dinner; they were shouting something passionately.

"Hang him! Hang him!"

"He withheld my wages and insulted my daughter! Hang him!"

"Hang him! Just like the Rebel did!"

People surrounded a kerosene street lamp in a frenzy, leaving an empty space.

The distance was still quite far, with the crowd separated by several dozen meters. The army behind them was trying hard to disperse the crowd, but there were too few soldiers.

"Bang—"

A crisp gunshot rang out, but it still couldn't calm the angry crowd; instead, it made their shouting even louder.

Syl stood in the distance, unable to see clearly what was happening inside the crowd—because she wasn't tall enough.

But soon, she could see clearly.

A man of medium build with a thin mustache was being hung up by a nylon rope.

He wasn't wearing any clothing to cover himself. His hands were desperately pulling at the rope tightening around his neck, and his feet were kicking wildly, but these futile movements couldn't help him at all.

The people below pulled hard on the rope. Finally, the man was hoisted high. After two or three minutes of painful struggling, he kicked his legs and completely lost his breath.

"Rebel!"

"Rebel!!"

"Rebel!!!"

The people cheered with delight, enjoying all the pleasure that came from ignoring order, abusing the person who had previously abused them.

Syl just watched all this with an expressionless face.

Everything now had completely devolved into a riot, not some peaceful movement to present demands.

However, there must be such riots to truly change the fate of Ibiza, which had always been enslaved.

At least if they could return to their original lives, new Factory Owners would not dare to make excessive demands on the laborers again; this kind of change was real.

What Syl didn't notice was that, at some point, a figure had appeared beside her.

"Hey, are you also here to digest your potion, Your Excellency?"

A slightly frivolous female voice rang directly inside Syl's mind.

Only then did Syl, who had been observing the front, notice that someone had been standing behind her for some unknown amount of time.

The suddenly appearing person didn't make Syl panic, because even if something went wrong now, the Young Dragon could be reborn in that officer's body.

If she panicked subconsciously, it might bring trouble upon herself.

"I am strong... I need to be confident..." Syl silently cheered herself on in her heart.

Slowly turning around, face expressionless, Syl looked up at the woman standing behind her.

That was a woman shrouded in a dark green robe, with a long golden pattern along the edge of the robe, looking simple and low-key but not lacking a sense of design.

"Is something the matter?" Syl asked calmly.

"Uh, I have no malicious intent, Your Excellency. I just like to find people to chat with. You know, it's quite boring in Ibiza. The atmosphere has all been stirred up by that 'Clown' Rebel, which makes it impossible for me to find a way to leave my mark..."

Ignoring Syl's coldness, the woman speaking in Syl's mind began to chatter away.

It made Syl's little head buzz with noise.

But soon, Syl learned a few things from the information provided by the other party.

Rebel... leaving a mark...

Could it be... that she really ran into that Tier 4 Transcendent?

Although she didn't know if this was the Tier 4 Transcendent from Roy's intelligence, Syl could be certain that this was definitely a Transcendent.

"To be honest, I've met many friends, but rarely one like you who uses a little girl's body. Is this some kind of fetish of yours? Oh... I have no malicious intent; I'm just asking. You know, liking cute little girls isn't wrong; the only things that are wrong are those perverted-minded people."

Even though Syl hadn't spoken yet, this Transcendent lady started yapping away again, as if that mouth would never stop.

However, it seemed that this Transcendent lady had mistaken her for a potion user of the same rank as her, or perhaps one stronger than her?

"No, I just came to take a look, to see if I could see an old friend." Syl shook her head and spoke a riddle, not explaining what she wanted to do by coming to Ibiza.

As for who that "old friend" was, that was entirely up to this person to imagine.

"Old friend? Is it a friend who has lived for quite a long time like you? Or are you just lying to me? Uh... I don't mean you're lying to me; I'm just using an analogy. So, did you find her?"

The dark green robe covered her appearance, but it couldn't stop her mouth.

"Not yet, I haven't found her. She is not convenient to come out right now." Syl shook her head and then started to walk away. "I don't think I'm familiar enough with you for this. I'll take my leave."

"Hey, don't go. It's not easy for me to meet a fellow high-ranking female Transcendent, and one who isn't from the Church. Do you know how long it's been since I've met one? Uh... how many years? Never mind, anyway, it's been many years."

"Also, someone who can be friends with you... must have a high rank, right? Let me boldly guess, is it that Rebel? Is it? If it is, can you take me to see her?"

"I've always wanted to learn rebellion techniques from her—she didn't even use any Transcendent abilities! She just orchestrated a riot across the entire district, while I can't even incite one person to Rebel until now..."

As the Transcendent lady spoke, she lifted her hood, and her dark green hair cascaded down.

She was a young girl who looked only seventeen or eighteen years old. She had an elven-like, beautiful face, dark green pupils like emeralds, and a tear mole below her left eye, making her look like a delicate beauty.

If she could just shut her mouth and not speak, Syl would unconditionally admit that she was very charming.
