It wasn't easy to calm Harry down, and that was understandable; after all, Dumbledore was someone he looked up to as a mentor, and he felt a great affection for the Weasley family. Once he managed to calm down, I told him about their other plan.
This plan consisted of keeping Sirius away from him so they could guide Harry as they wished without worrying that Sirius might ruin what they had planned. They also wanted to take advantage of Sirius's resources if possible. When they mentioned this plan, they also said how difficult it had been to keep people close to Harry's parents away so they wouldn't interfere with how they wanted to raise him. These people were Remus Lupin, Professor McGonagall, and Alice Longbottom, Harry's godmother. They didn't have much trouble with Alice, as she stopped bothering them after being attacked, which left her mentally scarred.
Mrs. Weasley was furious because if Harry didn't do what they had planned, he would have to continue living in poverty, something she no longer wanted to endure. In her anger, she even said that if that happened, Dumbledore would no longer be able to enjoy the fame and power he would gain from defeating a second Dark Lord.
That was all the clone heard about their plans, which were disrupted because Dumbledore managed to calm Mrs. Weasley down and stop her from talking about it. He then told her that she would have to wait a little longer about the love potions since Harry had eliminated them from his system when he went to the hospital wing, and that he would find a way to make her trust Ron again before starting to give him the potions again.
Dumbledore even mentioned that, according to the prophecy, Harry would face Voldemort, but that he was making sure Harry weakened him enough when they clashed. However, he acknowledged that it was more likely Harry would die in that confrontation, and that he would then be the one to finish the job by defeating the Dark Lord. He added that even if Harry did manage to defeat him, he would still be known as the master who taught him everything he knew.
Dumbledore wasn't interested in the Potters' fortune, which is why he offered it to the Weasleys in exchange for their help. He only wanted the fame so that his name would be remembered in history as a great wizard who defeated two Dark Lords, saving the wizarding world in the process.
I told Harry about the prophecy because I believed that was the reason why they had made those plans against him. I also told him that Riddle didn't know the whole prophecy and that the reason he had attacked his parents had to do with that prophecy, since it mentioned that the one who could defeat him would be born from those who opposed him three times and that he would be born at the end of the seventh month.
Harry was furious and wanted to confront them right then and there, but I managed to convince him not to. I told him he wouldn't gain anything by doing so, and that Dumbledore could probably make him forget everything and set their plans in motion again.
I suggested to Harry that we could have Dumbledore go and find the Gaunt family ring and let him destroy the Horcrux. In the process, Dumbledore would be struck by a devastating curse. Harry was so angry that he agreed and asked me what he could do to help. We discussed possible ideas and finally decided that Harry would tell Dumbledore he'd been having recurring dreams about the ring. He would mention the Deathly Hallows symbol to make Dumbledore more easily drawn to it. He would also mention the location: an old cottage surrounded by weeds with a snake nailed to the door in an S shape, and in the dream, he saw a vague silhouette of someone resembling Riddle.
Although I wasn't sure it would work completely, at least the mere mention of the Deathly Hallows symbol had to pique his interest in the ring.
After that, Harry needed something to distract him since he couldn't concentrate on his training. I wasn't sure what to do, so I asked him if he wanted to go flying with me for a while, since flying always helped me, and I hoped it would help him too. Before leaving the room, I left a couple of clones to continue working on the Vanishing Cabinet.
Harry went to get his broomstick, and then we both headed to the Astronomy Tower, where I summoned Artemis. We then spent an hour flying aimlessly. The next day, we both got up early again to exercise, and after a shower and breakfast
,
we went to the Room of Requirement where we made clones with enough mana to attend classes for us. That day, I was taking Harry to Gringotts to see if the goblins could remove his Horcrux. We had to wait a bit because I needed to meditate to replenish my mana, as I still had to make clones to follow the professors, including Dumbledore, and those who would be attending my classes, as well as a couple to continue working in the wardrobe.
Once I had replenished enough mana, I teleported us both near Gringotts. We were both dressed casually so as not to attract attention. Once inside the bank, we asked to speak with Ragnok. We had to wait a few minutes since we didn't have an appointment, but as soon as we entered his office, we talked about Horcruxes and asked if his method of destruction could also be used on living beings.
Ragnok told us that a living being had never been used as a Horcrux before, and that with his method there was a high probability of success, but he couldn't guarantee it would be painless. Ragnok seemed curious as to why we were asking him such a thing, and when we told him that we believed there was a Horcrux in Harry's scar, he asked for permission to perform a check to verify it. Upon receiving Harry's approval, he stood up and passed his hand over Harry's forehead while murmuring a spell which made his hand glow. A few seconds later, he frowned and returned to his seat.
He told us that there was indeed a Horcrux in Harry's forehead and that if Harry wanted, they could try to remove it, but he couldn't guarantee there wouldn't be pain during the process. Harry didn't hesitate and agreed. Ragnok called his assistant to make the preparations, and about 10 minutes later, Harry was in the middle of a ritual circle surrounded by several goblins. A few meters away was a huge cage containing the pig into which the Horcrux would be transferred, and near the cage, the team of goblins who would fight the pig were ready.
During the extraction process, I was very nervous because Harry was screaming in pain and getting paler and paler. The ritual took 10 minutes, which felt like hours, and once Ragnok told me it was done, I ran to Harry's side and hugged him tightly while tears streamed down my face. It was very difficult for me to remain standing, unable to get closer, while I heard him screaming in pain.
Harry hugged me back as he asked the goblins how the ritual had gone. His voice was hoarse from all the shouting, and I felt his muscles relax when the goblins told him it had been a success and that the warriors were already fighting the transferred Horcrux.
Once the goblins gave us some space, Harry said softly, trying to comfort me,
"It doesn't hurt anymore... please don't cry..."
I nodded slightly and pulled away from his arms, trying to wipe the tears from my face with my hand, saying softly,
"I'm sorry... I couldn't help it..."
Harry placed both hands on my cheeks and used his thumbs to dry the remaining tears.
"Thank you for worrying about me."
Before I could answer, a cough interrupted us, and when we turned around, we saw Ragnok, who told us that the warriors were about to eliminate the horcrux. When I mentioned that they had been faster this time and that I would like to reward them, he said that since they already had experience, they had been able to correct their previous mistakes.
Harry insisted that the warriors' rewards be paid from his vault since they had helped him destroy the Horcrux this time. After that, we returned to Hogwarts because Harry needed to rest; his body was still spasming from the pain he'd endured throughout the ordeal.
I teleported us directly to the Room of Requirement and conjured a bed for Harry to rest on, staying by his side until I was sure he was asleep.
