Not a single shred of people on sight, I felt uncontrollable because the manor was surprisingly quiet. There wasn't a servant on sight, and it felt like something was keeping them silent. So I began searching the manor,
I returned back to the flower garden and saw one of the boys was practicing their combat, but no maids and grasstrimmets were visible on sight. Then, I visited the Manor's bathhouse and seen that it is crowded as usual, I can barely hear Natalie's voice echoing through the hallways, but not a single servant on sight
Upon searching the whole manor, I saw not a single one of the maids and servants from the manor, only occupied by guildmembers. If anything, I noticed a drifting hint of loneliness from the Manor's hallways
When hope seems lost, Plasma interrupted through my searching mission
"Roxy, I think the maids were having a break. There's a small hut in the backyard of the manor. I think you decided to check it out"
"Oh yeah, I completely forgot the backyard. I didn't search that area from the manor, thanks from reminding, Plasma"
It seems that Plasma had a sense of accurate memories. He is basically a walking tracker at this point, like a built-in direction manual that was embedded on his mind,
As I approached from the backyard of the manor. I saw one of the maids holding a kettle filled with hot tea, I asked that same maid and questions her
"Miera, is that you?"
"Greetings, Lady Roxy!"
It was no other than Miera, the short girl I first met in the manor. Instead of tying her hair in a ponytail, her hair strikes a grayish ambient color, with its hair silky smooth. I bet Miera is using that liquid soap from that Manor's bathhouse…
"Miera, I didn't recognize you from that hairstyle. I always see you in a ponytail"
"Well Lady Roxy, I've been using the same liquid soap on one of Lady White's bathhouse, this removes the dandruff from my hair"
As Miera said that, she is definitely using that same liquid soap from the bathhouse, it was high-quality soap. I barely reminds me of the same soap I've been used during my life in Earth
"Lady Roxy, may you join us?"
"What do you mean, Miera?"
As explained, Miera is holding a silverware tray that contains a kettle of hot tea and some pristine cups from the manor. It's maid dress remains the same, the same white and black color.
"Lady Roxy, it is one of our break hours. Normally, when it is noon, all the maids and servants from the manor will gather at a small hut located in the backyard. Lady White adjusts our break hours freely"
Miera's explanation is simple and direct, it is specifically one of their break hours. I can already tell the absence of servants inside the manor, they are taking their breaks seriously. All thanks to White's house rules inside the manor.
"Miera, mind if I join in?"
"Sure Lady Roxy, the more the merrier!"
As she accepted the request, we headed to the Manor's backyard. As expected, it is full of flower fields with different flower varieties. Along with that is a small hut located at a shaded tree, full of maids and servants were waiting for my arrival
"Greetings Lady Roxy, what fascinating dress you have"
"Thanks, Sinel!"
The maid who greeted me was Sinel, the red haired girl full of passion, along with the other servants in the manor, there they rest under the shaded tree. It consists of butlers, maids, headcooks and pruning were gathered in the shaded tree. It was windy on the outside while fresh flowers breeze through the air
Sinel is one of the maids in Flower Manor, she is both the main headcook and janitor of the Flower Estate, she is definitely a multi-talented maid. She handled all the foods and dishes inside the manor, including the dish I ate earlier that day. It was beef stew
"Sinel, the stew you just made is packed with flavors. Thanks for serving your dish from one of our guildmembers"
"Oh my, thank you Lady Roxy"
Sinel was shocked by my comment, she is the headcook of the manor itself. Despite being a maid, she herself, shows kind affection towards me, knowing that I was the vice-leader of the guild itself
While Sinel was weeping in tears. One maid approached me with a disgusted expression, I recognized the maid easily just by looking at her facial expression
"Lady Roxy, that cloth of yours is horrendous. It took some time to remove that rotten-smell of yours"
The maid who stood beside me was no other than Kiera, Miera's older sister, she had a striking resemblance from her younger sister, but she had short hair and was a slighter taller than me. She is the laundry manager of the Flower Manor
"Big sis, don't yell at Lady Roxy, it's her clothing through, you cannot complain about her all-black outfit"
"Miera, her clothes reeks, filled with blood-stained cloak, and it's rotten-smell took some time to remove it"
I didn't judge Kiera's opinion, my clothes do smell like a rotten corpse. All because I killed those grotesque monsters I fought inside the ruined castle of Castle Libra, their rotten smell reminds me to this day
"My maid dress is filled with rotten smell, now I stink like a fresh meat"
"Yeah… you do smell like meat" I said
I recognized the smell of meat when I was in-charge of my family meat shop, ever since my older sister left the household, I was in full possession of the Rynd Meat Shop, meaning that I will have to do all the dirty work
But now, Mya was now in-charge of the family meat shop, she stayed at the Rynd household permanently. She didn't join the guild nor staying at the Flower Manor, she didn't wanted to get involved about our malicious activities. Instead, she spends her time charging the meat shop all by herself.
While the maids including me, rests around the shaded tree. I saw that the flower in the flower fields are beautifully organized compare from the other flower fields. I stared at the enormous flower fields of Flower Manor, admiring the view.
"I won't deny that, but… there are some people who are just there to appreciate the flowers, you know?" Kiera said
Kiera smiled bitterly as she recalled how often people were astonished by the flower fields of the Flower Manor has. But even so, she tried to defend flower-viewing's honor
"That sounds super fun! Lady Roxy, I wanna do this flower-viewing too!"
"Huh? Seriously? All were gonna do is to sit under a tree, eat food and chat, admiring the view, you know?"
"That's fine, I want to join"
While I was glancing at the flower fields, the maids also decided to join in… this is the first time enjoying my new life to the fullest
Seeing how excited Kiera to try my flower-viewing, I smiled awkwardly. I gave the made a questioning look, to see what they thought. It wasn't as if they were in a rush on one of their lunch breaks. If fact, they will continue their duties as servant in the Flower Manor. So they may as well make some more memories with me before it was time to say farewell.
"Mmm, Why not? A picnic beneath a tree sounds good. Its almost the end of lunch break anyway. Besides, I don't want this to be a memory only you and Miera have." Kiera said
"Did you have to put it like that, Kiera" Miera replied to Kiera
"In fact, you should delete your memories of flower viewing with Lady Roxy"
"Hey, that's mean big sis!"
I ignored Kiera and Miera's catfight. Ever since I joined the guild, this had kept happening, so I was used to it. Amidst the chaos, I instead turned to Sinel, she whom seemed interested in experiencing flower-viewing
In the end, the group decided to hold an flower-viewing party beneath on the shaded tree. They needed to eat lunch anyway, and it wouldn't take up extra time. As always, Sinel had prepared and created an array of elaborate dishes for lunch. While Kiera, Miera and I helped set the dishes and get everything else ready
A minute has passed, the party was sitting on a fluffy sheet, staring at a table laden with food whom Sinel had prepared. To set the mood, Kiera invited the other servants and maids in a picnic table beneath in a large tree. It was a beautiful sight. One that evoked a sense of wonder and mystery
"Wow, they're so pretty!" I muttered softly,
Suddenly, one of the leaves of the big oak tree landed on Miera's nose. Others watched with a smile as she flailed about cutely, unsure of what to do. It was a peaceful, enjoyable party.
