Chapter 13
Cedric's Point of View
I lingered on the shore for a while, my feet sinking into the sand as I contemplated the restless sea. I didn't know what I was going to do; a million worries were clashing in my head.
And now, I had to face the problem of Stephanie's pregnancy, especially after my grandfather found out and gave me a long lecture over the phone that made my temples throb with rage. I never imagined things would get this complicated.
I stood up from the sand and brushed the dust off my clothes. As soon as I saw Alexander's car parked at the entrance, I knew he had come because of the pregnancy issue; surely, my grandfather was the one who sent him after me. I entered the house with quick strides and asked the maid sharply, "Where is Alexander?"
"Mr. Alexander asked me for the room of the pregnant lady," she said nervously.
"What?!" I shouted in disbelief.
I ran up the stairs, my heart pounding with apprehension. The moment I opened the door, I froze.
