You nodded to Miya and Liora.
"Good work. Let's take everyone to the new house now and settle them in properly."
With a casual wave of your hand, you teleported the entire group — all the survivors (both the original group and the five you just rescued), along with Miya and Liora — directly to the large house Miya and Liora had purchased in the quiet eastern district of the capital.
The house was perfect: a spacious two-story building with a peaceful garden, multiple bedrooms, a large dining hall, and strong protective wards already in place (Miya had added her moonlight shields for extra security). It was far enough from the busy center to be quiet, but close enough for convenience.
You made sure everything was comfortable. With another small snap, the house was fully stocked with fresh food, clean clothes for everyone, soft beds, healing supplies, and plenty of toys and books for the children. The survivors looked around in disbelief and overwhelming gratitude.
The elders knelt before you, tears flowing freely.
"Lord Grim… Lady Miya… you've saved us twice now. We have no words… thank you."
The children, though still traumatized, started smiling shyly as they explored their new rooms and found warm meals waiting for them.
Miya stood beside you, tail swishing with quiet pride. "They will be safe here, my lord. I've set strong barriers and defensive spells. No one will harm them again."
Liora helped the children settle in, her gentle nature comforting them.
You made sure the survivors understood they were under your permanent protection. No one in the kingdom — not the King, not the Goddess's followers — would dare touch them.
As everyone began to relax and eat, you felt a familiar surge of dark cosmic energy approaching.
Snap.
Lukas appeared in the garden outside the house in a swirl of shadows. He looked satisfied, his midnight armor slightly stained with demonic ichor, but otherwise unharmed. In his grip was a single bound demon — a lesser demon general, badly beaten but still alive, its horns cracked and its body wrapped in unbreakable shadow chains.
"Big brother," Lukas said with a dark grin, "I killed every last one of the 319 demons. Not a single one escaped. This one… I kept alive for you, just like you asked."
He tossed the captured demon onto the ground in front of you. The creature whimpered in terror, clearly recognizing the overwhelming power radiating from both you and Lukas.
The survivors watched from the windows with a mix of fear and satisfaction.
Miya's eyes gleamed with approval. "Well done, Cosmic Lord Lukas."
Lukas looked at you expectantly.
"What now, big brother? Do we interrogate this thing here… or somewhere more private?"
The captured demon trembled on the ground, completely at your mercy.
