She reached for it, and then she took it.
Carefully, she wrapped it around her head and lower face, concealing every bruise and fingerprint left behind.
Hazel studied her for a moment before nodding.
"Much better; at least no one will start asking questions."
Together the two women stepped out of the dressing room. Outside, the studio buzzed with his usual rhythm. The crew members hurried between lighting rigs, and without attracting a single glance, Hazel and Fiona slipped into Hazel's car.
The car doors shut simultaneously.
Hazel's gaze fully settled on her.
"The scarf was a smart choice."
"Mmm," Fiona hummed softly, "it's better not to speculate on dramas until I'm ready."
"Yeah," Hazel nodded, "are you taking the video to the police?"
Fiona sighed.
"This isn't enough evidence to back up my claim Amira's parents are filthy wealthy—"
