The conference room remained quiet, only three sounds occupied the space. The steady voice of the presenter, the soft hum of the air conditioner, and the faint whir of the projector casting graphs across the large screen.
"And this concludes the current marketing report."
"Good," Manson replied calmly, "the release of the series should begin next week."
"Okay sir." The presenter replied.
Around the table, the rest of the executives nodded in agreement, while a faint sound drifted into the conference, getting clearer and clearer.
Several people frowned until the conference door slid open and a cheerful voice burst into the room.
"I ~came in ~like a wrecking ~ball ~Yeah, I just closed ~my eyes and swung—"
Fiona froze mid-step, the entire room froze with her. Dozens of executives stared at her. Slowly she immediately removed the earbuds from her ear.
