Chapter 41 - 41

Her mind was afire with naughty, delicious thoughts of him touching her even more intimately with his tongue. She tingled from head to toe, and the room was so hazy around her that it felt as though she were swimming in waters heated by the sun.

"Oh," she gasped when his fingers gently parted the delicate folds between her legs.

His thumb brushed over the sensitive little nub, and he trailed a single fingertip to her opening where he continued to tease. When he touched his tongue to where his thumb had rested, the most peculiar, spectacular sensation thrilled through her pelvis and into her limbs. Her belly tightened with unbearable pleasure. It flooded her, tightening every muscle until her body quivered with the strain.

He continued a slow, decadent dance over feminine flesh, lapping and licking like she was a sweet treat. Her legs shook uncontrollably. Her senses spiraled out of control. She reached down and thrust her fingers into his hair. Her breaths came in ragged, painful bursts, burning a path up her throat before exploding into the quiet.

 "Leo! Oh Leo!" She gasped.

He continued to nuzzle between her legs, kissing and tonguing her until she begged him to stop, not to stop, for more. And more. She had no inkling of what was happening or what she should do. So she put herself into his care, gave her trust to him, and she let go of her fears and reservations. His hands explored her body, every inch, every secret was revealed to him. He kissed and caressed until she was near sobbing, desperate for something just out of her reach.

"Shh, Barbie," he murmured as he finally rose up and smiled at her.

Susan stared up at him, unable to believe what had happened and yet too dazed to regret it. It felt so good whenever he touched her, and although every part of her knew that he was wrong for her, not just because of the kind of man he was, but because he was the kind of guy who'd definitely break her heart if she let herself fall for him, she just couldn't seem to get away from him. Not when he kissed and touched her like this.

He was still staring at her. There was a look in his eyes that she didn't quite understand. Was he looking for a way to walk away? Just like he'd done weeks ago. Remembering how horrible she'd felt about his silence the past week, she sighed deeply. If he was looking for a way to get rid of her now, she'd simply make it easy for him.

Susan made up her mind to make up an excuse so she'd leave before he had the opportunity to humiliate her again. She opened her mouth to speak, but he spoke before her. The words that left his mouth however, were not what she was expecting.

"I'm going to Atlantic City…On a little business trip," Leo said, his eyes gleaming, "And I'd like you to come with me… If that's okay with you,"

She was still on the table where he'd placed her minutes ago. She was still half naked, and Leo was still leaning over her. Maybe it was the position they were in, or maybe it was the fact that he'd just given her one of the best orgasms of her life. Susan knew that she ought to say no, and she opened her mouth to say just that. Except when did, she found herself saying as she flashed a smile at him, "I'd be glad to,"

Leo smiled triumphantly, and when he leaned down to kiss her again, Susan didn't let herself think. Instead, she wrapped her arms around him, and pulled him closer, deepening the kiss, losing herself all over again.

Caroline leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed, a mischievous glint in her eyes as she watched Susan zip up the small suitcase she was taking to Atlantic City. "So, let me get this straight," Caroline began, smirking. "You're going on a trip with him? Weren't you just calling him a jerk days ago for ghosting you a few weeks ago? How do you go from that to packing for a romantic getaway with him?"

Susan felt her cheeks heat up. Caroline wasn't wrong; she'd been wrestling with her decision since she'd agreed, and she knew she was going to have a hard time explaining her decision to her friend. The reality of it had only hit her when she'd been driving home, replaying Leo's invitation in her mind. Honestly, it had happened so fast, and now that she thought about it, she had a feeling Leo had intentionally asked her that question at a very vulnerable time. How would she have been able to think clearly in that moment? Did this realisation make her not want to go? The answer was no. Which just showed that even she wasn't in her right senses when it came to Leo, and it didn't really matter when or how he'd asked her. She'd have said yes either way.

She shrugged, trying to keep her voice casual as she avoided Caroline's playful gaze. "It's... complicated, Care" she mumbled. "Besides, he made up for it."

Caroline narrowed her eyes, and Susan could tell that discussing this with her was just increasing her friend's curiosity instead of lessening it, "Oh, he made up for it, did he?" Her tone was teasing, each word laced with curiosity. "Just how exactly did he do that?"

Susan shifted, trying to maintain her composure, but memories of Leo's touch, his intense gaze in that private lounge, left her blushing. "Let's just say he has his ways," she replied softly, a small, involuntary smile tugging at her lips.

Caroline chuckled knowingly, her smile widening, and Susan knew she'd never hear the end of it. "Oh, I believe you. A guy like him? I bet he's got… quite a few talents."

Embarrassed, Susan picked up a throw pillow and tossed it at her friend, who dodged it, laughing. Caroline was obviously relishing every second of teasing her. But then, her tone softened, and she looked at Susan with genuine curiosity. "Okay, seriously though—what did your brother say when you told him about the trip?"

Susan glanced down, feeling a bit of guilt creep in. "Well... I didn't exactly tell him," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.

Caroline's eyebrows shot up. "Oh, so you're keeping secrets from him now?" She grinned, nudging her friend's shoulder. "This is getting interesting."
