Titan immediately pointed toward the large card shadow lying horizontally on Jiang He's field, barking orders to his monster. Just a moment ago, this detestable Stealth Bird had been summoned in attack position by the brat just to taunt him!
As Titan's voice fell, the hideous figure of General Archfiend lunged forward. It raised its bone sword, which ignited with orange demonic flames, and leapt into the air! It swung down, aiming to cleave the set card on the right side of Jiang He's field.
"You won't find it so easy to destroy the soul monster of my deck. I activate my set card: the Trap, Reverse Glasses!"
Jiang He waved his hand, gesturing to one of the two face-down cards before him. As the Trap card flipped up, it revealed an illustration of a bearded man wearing glasses.
"This card's effect halves the attack power of all face-up monsters on the field until the end of your turn!"
"Dammit, I knew there would be a trap to lower my attack!" Titan's expression darkened.
A dizzying, swirling halo of light erupted from the Reverse Glasses trap, settling over General Archfiend as it hung in mid-air. The demon roared in confusion as its massive 3100 ATK plummeted, the counter ticking down rapidly until it hit 1550!
"Hmph! Even so, the effect of Reverse Glasses only lasts for this turn!" Titan snorted, having realized something. "By next turn, General Archfiend will return to normal. As long as I draw another powerful Archfiend monster, it will be my turn to stage a comeback!"
"He's right!" Alexis, Jaden, Chumley, and Syrus were all startled.
The effect of Reverse Glasses was indeed temporary. By next turn, the opponent's General Archfiend would revert to its base power. If Titan managed to summon another monster with similar strength,
he could destroy both of Jiang He's Stealth Birds without taking a scratch. Meanwhile, Jiang He had nearly exhausted his backrow and only had two cards left in his hand. He might not be able to defeat Titan before that happened.
However, the group quickly noticed that Jiang He's expression hadn't flickered in the slightest.
"That's why I prepared a second surprise for you. I activate my other set card: the Trap, Wall of Disruption!" Jiang He laughed brightly.
At his signal, the remaining face-down card flipped up, revealing the familiar purple and black dividing pattern!
"When an opponent's monster declares an attack, all attack position monsters they control lose 800 ATK for every monster they have on the field."
Jiang He smiled faintly. "Since you summoned General Archfiend alongside your other two, you now have three monsters. Therefore, they all lose 2400 attack power!"
"Nani?! Impossible! How can there be more?!" Titan cried out in terror, his face turning pale.
The remaining set card was actually another one of those "underworld" traps designed to gut his attack power! Even Alexis and the others were stunned.
Vroom!
One purple and one black beam of light shot out from Wall of Disruption. One hit the mid-air General Archfiend, who was still clutching its flaming bone sword, while the other struck Terrorking Archfiend standing behind him.
The attack power of both hideous demons plummeted instantly. The numbers ticked down to zero, leaving them just as powerless as the Infernalqueen Archfiend already on the field!

"Once more, let me witness the fury of a zero-attack demon for free. Continue the battle!" Hearing the pleasant system notification, Jiang He flashed a delighted smile. "General Archfiend, continue your attack on my set Stealth Bird!"
"No...!"
Titan's face turned green as he watched his General Archfiend, now completely powerless, slash its bone sword down at the horizontal card shadow on the right side of Jiang He's field.
Screee!
The scene repeated itself!
In a flash of light, the Stealth Bird flipped over to reveal its form. Its bat-like beak let out a sinister chuckle as its blue wings passively stirred up a freezing icy tornado. The gale blew the General Archfiend back, bone sword and all!
The demon slammed heavily into Titan, pinning him to the ground! At the same time, the biting, blade-like wind shredded through the opponent's already battered black trench coat!
"Aaaargh!!"
Titan screamed in agony as the razor-sharp winds lashed his body. His Life Points plummeted from 2300, dropping by 1700, until a pitiful 600 LP remained. Then, he lost consciousness entirely.
"That's... that's brutal." Jaden, Syrus, and Chumley huddled together, cold sweat dripping down their faces.
It wasn't just Titan's physical state that was pathetic. The field was a disaster; he had three monsters, and together they couldn't scrape together even one point of attack power. They almost felt sorry for him.
Titan had only one card left in his hand and was clearly out of options. With only 600 LP left and the man unconscious, the result was clear. On Jiang He's turn, he only had to Flip Summon his remaining Stealth Bird to trigger its effect and deal 1000 points of burn damage.
The duel was as good as over!
For some reason, however, Alexis and the boys felt that the psychological trauma Titan had suffered in this Shadow Duel was far worse than the physical pain.
