Riverbank
Early Morning
Dawn crept in slowly.
The red hue of the night faded into soft gold as sunlight filtered through the trees. Mist hovered lightly over the river, the world quieter now… calmer.
Lira stirred first.
Her eyes opened lazily, adjusting to the light. For a moment, she didn't move.. just lay there, warm, comfortable.
Then she realized why.
She was pressed against Devin, more specifically laying on his chest and completely naked..
Her gaze shifted upward.
He was still asleep.
Relaxed.
Peaceful in a way she hadn't seen before.
Her eyes lingered… then slowly looked looked down at his morning wood... Remembering how deep that thing was in her..
His body was still bare from the night before, Defined muscle, steady breathing, completely unaware of her staring.
Her cheeks flushed.
She swallowed slightly, trying to compose herself but her thoughts betrayed her.
Last night…
The memory hit again..
The cold.
The exhaustion.
And then.. The heat. .
And how he had pulled her close without hesitation, sharing warmth and venting pent up lust from being locked up and alone..
Her face turned even redder.
"…Get it together," she muttered quietly to herself. Her thighs rubbing together...
As if on cue, Devin shifted.
Lira froze.
His eyes opened slowly.
Clear.
Aware.
He glanced at her immediately and noticed the blush.
A faint smirk tugged at his lips.
"Enjoying the view?" he said, voice still rough from sleep.
Lira's eyes widened. "I... what.. no... !"
He pushed himself up slightly, stretching once like it was the most normal thing in the world.
"I hope you rested well," he said casually, glancing toward the tree line.
Then his expression sharpened slightly.
"Because we need to keep moving."
Lira exhaled, trying to recover some dignity. "Yeah… yeah, I figured."
She stood up, brushing herself off, still avoiding looking at him directly for a second longer than necessary.
"…Also," she added, gesturing vaguely, "we seriously need to find you clothes."
Devin glanced down at himself again.
"…Still not used to that part."
She rolled her eyes, but a small smile slipped through.
Elsewhere
SCP Facility Command Briefing
The room was dim, lit only by data projections.
Recovered footage played on loop.. the breach, the escape, the failed containment.
Senior personnel of the SCP Foundation stood around a central display.
Two files remained highlighted:
SCP-6700-L... ACTIVE
SCP-6712.. ACTIVE
The Site Director spoke first.
"Status."
A technician responded immediately. "Tracking systems failed to maintain lock after perimeter breach. Visual confirmation lost in forest terrain."
Another added, "Thermal scans inconclusive. Subject 6700-L's movement speed exceeded predictive tracking models."
Silence settled briefly.
Then Dr. Havel stepped forward.
"They will not remain stationary," he said. "SCP-6700-L prioritizes movement and environmental advantage. SCP-6712 will follow his lead."
An administrator folded their arms. "So we're blind."
"Temporarily," Havel replied.
The Director turned slightly. "MTF readiness?"
A new projection appeared.
MTF Samsara — status: ACTIVE / DEPLOYABLE
"Units are regrouping," the technician confirmed. "Awaiting redeployment orders."
The Director's voice hardened.
"Then we escalate."
Another screen lit up with new directives:
Expand search radius beyond containment zone
Deploy multi-layer tracking protocols
Authorize high-risk engagement if necessary
Priority: recapture both anomalies alive
A pause.
Then
"Under no circumstances," the Director added, "do we allow SCP-6700-L further time to evolve."
The implication hung in the air.
Because everyone in that room understood one thing:
They hadn't just lost containment.
They had released something that was still changing.
Back at the River
The morning light fully settled.
It was time to get moving..
Devin was ready...
The moment Lira finished pulling on the clothes he'd taken off last night , his body shifted again.. bones stretching, fur erupting, his werewolf form returning with controlled ease.
He crouched slightly.
She didn't even question it this time.
Lira climbed onto his back, arms wrapping around his shoulders naturally now. "Alright… round two," she muttered.
Devin smirks at play on words as he launched forward.
The forest blurred.
Hours passed like minutes. They didn't stop, crossing hills, rivers, dirt roads, avoiding any signs of civilization until the mountains became distant shadows behind them.
By the time the sun dipped again…
They were far away.
By nightfall. They had reached an Isolated Town..
Lights flickered in the distance.
A small town. Quiet. Remote.
Devin slowed at the edge of the tree line, crouching low.
His senses swept the area... cars, people, faint electricity humming through buildings.
Safe enough.
For now.
Lira slid off his back.
"I'll handle this part," she said, brushing herself off.
Devin nodded, stepping back into the shadows. His form shifted again, shrinking back to human... though this time he stayed hidden, watching.
"Don't take long," he said.
She smirked. "Relax, I'll be quick "
Then she walked toward town.

G.O.C Intelligence Room
A secure chamber lit only by data screens.
Operatives of the Global Occult Coalition reviewed newly acquired intelligence.
A classified file blinked onto the central display.
SOURCE: Embedded asset.. SCP Site Network
The room went quiet as the report loaded.
> "Anomaly designated SCP-6700-L has breached containment as predicted."
"Subject currently mobile and accompanied by secondary anomaly — female, telekinetic and telepathic capabilities confirmed."
A senior analyst leaned forward. "So it's confirmed."
Another nodded. "He's not alone."
The screen shifted.
A familiar face appeared in the corner of the room.
Amber.
She stood silently, arms folded, eyes locked on the file. No emotion at first glance… but something sharper beneath the surface.
"…He escaped," she said quietly.
The analyst glanced at her. "And he's evolving faster than expected."
Amber didn't respond immediately.
Her gaze hardened slightly.
"Then we don't treat him like an asset anymore," she said.
Silence.
Then..
"We prepare to eliminate him."
Back with Lira....
Lira walked calmly down the street, blending in like she belonged.
Her eyes scanned casually... people, shops, movement.
Then
Her mind reached out.
Soft.
Subtle.
A passing man slowed slightly, then turned back toward her.
"Hey… uh… you dropped this," he said, handing her cash that wasn't hers.
"Thanks," she replied smoothly.
Another person paused at an ATM, stepping away just long enough for her to suggest they didn't need all of it.
She didn't push hard.
Just nudges.
Small influences.
Within minutes, she had enough.
Then she walked to motel she saw while walking around...
A flickering neon sign buzzed overhead.
Cheap. Quiet. Perfect.
Lira stepped into a room, tossing the cash onto the small table along with a bag of clothes she'd picked up.
She exhaled.
"Okay… that part's done."
Then she focused.
Her eyes narrowed slightly.
Her mind reached outward.
Towards her new partner..
At the Forest's Edge
Devin stood still.
Watching.
Waiting.
Then
A voice.
Inside his head.
"Hey… wolf boy. Room's ready."
He froze.
"…What?"
He looked around instantly, senses flaring.
No one there.
No sound.
The voice came again, clearer.
"Relax. It's me fluff ball ."
His eyes narrowed.
For a split second, confusion crossed his face.
Then
Something clicked.
His expression shifted.
"…Telepathy," he muttered.
A beat.
Then he let out a short laugh, shaking his head.
"Alright… that surprised me ."
His senses adjusted quickly, adapting, recognizing the mental signature.
Then he turned.
And moved.
Following her scent as snuck through the town until he reached the motel...
The door creaked open quietly.
Devin stepped inside, closing it behind him.
His eyes immediately found Lira.
She leaned against the wall, arms crossed, a small grin on her face.
"Took you long enough."
He smirked slightly.
"…Had to get used to hearing chirping voices in my head."
She laughed.
"Get used to it, cause I'll be in your head more often.. ."
For the first time since their escape…
They had a roof over their heads.
A moment to breathe.
But outside..
The world was already closing in again.
