Akira went back home after the moon rose up. Even with all the newly self made problems, she took her time enjoying the serenity of the moon and sky above the clouds.
The endless stars were impossible to ignore at her altitude.
And the gales of unobstructed wind were her favourite since the first time she touched the sky with Keigo.
She loved the sky. But she loved flying with him more. That was the entire reason she made wings like his instead of just making steps with blood wherever she placed her blood. And the wings were cool. That was very very important.
She wished she could sit and sleep on those clouds.
' Damn..... They look so fluffy. If only I had that cloudspray from doraemon... What a disappointment. I hope someone invents that spray. I will build a cloud castle! A massive one! And even add aesthetic colours. Wait. If a cloud colouring spray is invented such that spraying that specific colour on that block of cloud immediately gives the colour to the whole cloud piece evenly....aaaaaaahhhhhh!!! Why is nobody doing research on this!!!???' She cried internally at the lost opportunity as she pretended to run on the clouds.
'... Never mind. It would actually take chemical dyes and will pollute rain. Rainbow rain would be nice...meh. After a while, that would become common and boring too. Real clouds are pretty. We can't get these visuals with colourful clouds and if we solidify clouds, so many climate problems will arise.
Nature is best in it's own way. And superior. No need for humans to kiss it's ass. And flying through the clouds with vision getting obstructed by them is more thrilling any day.'
Akira grinned as she jumped into a huge mass of cloud and started flying at maximum speed dispersing the clouds.
" Mom! It's a rocket! Hi Rocket-san!!!!!" A young child being carried by her mother on the road below waved happily as he saw the parted clouds upon her wake.
Had it been a few seconds ago, she would have still been there and waved at him if she listened.
But she passed multiple kilometres already.
She was enjoying the absolute best time of her life as she zoomed through the clouds and puncturing individual holes through them randomly like a dolphin breaching ocean surface.
She wanted to shout WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! but had learnt to keep her mouth shut in this speed in the hard way. She did not want her mouth turning into a baloon again.
In her defence, she wan not used to flying at that time and Chikki's warning was too vague. And he only told her to not shout. Didn't say anything about not talking.
That cannibal bird took pictures of her! And never deleted them! Even when she deleted them as she had all time access to his mobile and even deleted them from trash, he hid everything in a secret pendrive hidden in a place only he knew! She searched every corner of their house and even the agency!
As she got within ten kilometers of her home, Akira folded her wings and let her momentum carry her forward like a missile.
The city rushed past beneath her in a blur as she made sure to rotate like a drill.
When her skyscraper finally came into view, she spread her wings again at the last second.
Her speed dropped sharply as she pulled upward, narrowly avoiding a collision with the lower floors.
She rose along the side of the building until she reached her floor, then casually hopped over the balcony railing and landed with the elegance of a swan.
She removed her shoes and went inside casually throwing her backpack which was caught by a red feather and set it in its destined location.
" I'm home!!!!!!" She shouted as she immediately sprinted and jumped on her brother who just took closed the fridge door.
" Yo!" Keigo greeted as he adjusted her in his arms as she hugged him like a Koala.
" I missed you.... " Akira nuzzled her face under his neck as he sat on the couch with the two fruit juices he took out from the fridge.
She was so fast, her arrival was announcing itself through the sheer vibrations in the atmosphere.
He set the juice bottles on the hand rest as he hugged her back, patting her head and rubbing her back.
" Yeah. Me too Leafy. " He kissed her head slowly.
Keigo wrapped his wings around her as he nuzzled his nose into her hair.
His little gremlin and mother was finally back home to him.
