The school soon ended.
" Guys! My brother arranged a bus for us! Let's go!"
" Wait! Akira chan! How did you get the school pay for all of this?" Uraraka Ochako asked unable to hide her curiosity.
" Huh? My brother took care of that! He's pretty useful at times you know. " Akira smiled, ushering her towards the bus.
" Who's your brother Akira chan?" Uraraka asked again, getting on the bus.
" You won't know him. Just a regular guy with wings like me. " Akira added pleased with herself mentally playing the future reveal.
Because technically, she doesn't know him in person.
" Sensei!? Why are you here?" Akira asked shocked, seeing Aizawa on the bus.
" This trip is organised by the school on a particular request. And hence, a supervisor will be sent. " Aizawa looked at her in a way only a tired teacher who was done with everything can do.
" AKIRA SHONEN! I AM PROUD OF YOU FOR YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS AS THE CLASS REPRESENTATIVE!" Boomed Allmight's voice from behind her.
' where the hell did he pop out off! I didn't feel him at all! Fuuuuu... Firetruck. No cursing Akira. ' Akira immediately turned back to see Allmight getting on the bus after everyone fast enough to break her neck.
" Allmight?" She asked confused why he was on the bus.
" AKIRA SHONEN! YOUR CONCERNS ABOUT YOUR CLASSMATES MENTAL HEALTH WERE DEEPLY THOUGHT ABOUT BY THE SCHOOL AND THE REQUEST WAS GRANTED! BUT! AS THE ONE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE INCIDENT, I AM COMING ALONG TO RAISE THE SPIRITS OF MY REMARKABLE STUDENTS! PLUS ULTRA!!!"
" PLUS ULTRA!!!!!" The class cheered in high spirits as the bus started.
" Hold up! Nope! Not yet! Aizawa sensei! Allmight! If you're both coming, you're totally not allowed to not participate or supervise. And. We want stories on your first kills too. Cause let's be real. There has to be atleast one. " Akira looked at the teachers as Aizawa took a deep sigh.
Allmight stilled for a moment before laughing loudly and patting her head.
" All right Young Akira! "
" Wait! Allmight and sensei killed too!" Mina exclaimed.
" Ofcourse pinky! They're heroes! Sometimes it's inevitable! Right sensei? Allmight?"
" The world is never black and white. You have to be decisive at times. More often than you'd want to. But, in the end, the goal should be to protect. " Aizawa said as Allmight sat quietly.
Midoriya had always admired Akira. The admiration only grew with every interaction. She had always been powerful. Her presence, it was always comforting. From the first time since he met her, she had a certain air of confidence that made everyone think she knows everything.
Five years back, he couldn't name it exactly. Now he knew. She wasn't like Allmight. She doesn't always smile like him. She has a sharp tongue. Insults villains to their face. Or worse, makes jokes on them to their face.
His heart was hammering at the back of his head when the villains first showed up at the USJ. But she joked at the one who felt like the main boss. And suddenly, he felt much more at ease.
As Aizawa sensei went to fight the Villains, he was caught in a dilemma. The need to join and the orders to stay put. He knew everyone felt the same.
Especially Ka-chan. There were too many of them. It wouldn't take a genius to guess how it would end if sensei fought alone.
Not to mention, Akira chan said that she stalked the villain the previous day. When did that happen? Was it the time she disappeared from the class during the Class representative inauguration?
Aizawa sensei gave some rules on the morning specifically looking at her. It didn't sit right with him then. But after she revealed about the stalking, he understood.
She was way ahead of any of them. She knew about these Villains and gathered information on them as much as she could. In the end, that might've been the reason nobody was injured today.
They didn't spend time in the USJ for more than 20 minutes including the evacuation after the heroes arrived. But it felt like an eternity.
The teachers were fighting. Everyone was scared. " We're the top one percent in Japan. " Those words from her, they were comforting.
Her presence gave some security. Not just to him, but for everyone in class. He didn't understand immediately.
She took charge. She made plans. She encouraged them. She made them stop fearing.
She was nowhere as strong as Allmight. Infact, she might be weaker than Ka-chan or Todoroki kun or even himself in raw power output. But. Her presence. She was a real hero. Someone who can eradicate fear in the heart of everyone. Maybe not with a smile. But out of sheer competence.
He killed people. He did not know how that happened. Before he could spiral, her words rang again. " Donot hesitate to deal the killing blow. I will take the responsibility. "
And that comforted him.
The Nomu was overwhelming. It radiated the same power as Allmight. The Villains themselves stated that it was built to kill Allmight. But for some reason, none of them felt hopeless. Her presence was like an anchor.
She assigned roles, gave orders, took the lead, she removed the doubt and fear from them. She was not looking for help. She didn't even think about losing. He suspected that the thought never even crossed her mind. Her certainty in the win, it was inspiring.
No matter how overwhelming that Nomu was, they didn't lose hope. Because she was there.
The others may not have noticed but she was making sure none of them are hurt. At some point, some villains managed to pass Thirteen sensei and others and were about to attack them from behind. But none of them took another breath. Akira's blood bullets reached them before they could prepare an attack.
He felt safe knowing she had everything in control.
She always did. Since the first time they met. She always knew the right answer.
He didn't know what happened. But suddenly, the Nomu burst open like a bomb.
And he wanted to thank her only to notice she was falling. Had he been even a little late, she would've been on the ground. Or maybe, she might've planned something already. He did not know. He was just glad she was safe. She was sleeping. He almost cried out of relief.
