Ugh, I feel like I've been hit by a truck. Where am I?
My eyes shot open taking in the bright room around me. I recognized it immediately as the clinic.
Were my prayers answered? Is Canon ok? Where is he?
"You're awake!" I heard Alex say in a hoarse voice.
"Alex?" Right! He was there as well! Good thing he survived! I felt awful for dragging him into this mess.
"Yeah it's me you idiot! How dare you shield me?" He hissed.
Thinking back I'm not sure why I did that either. I saw the roof caving in near him and I impulsively blocked him. I could take the hit but he would get take damage since he's human. "I need to see Canon," I said.
"You can't get up yet! You've passed a critical state but you haven't fully recovered yet. Look, you have fresh burns all over you and the smoke inhalation-"
"Then bring canon here to me now," I said trying not to let the panic seep through.
"Conan-"
