Chapter 144 - Conan Moss

When I woke up, the first thing I saw was Levi, passed out at the foot of the couch I'd been sleeping on. His limbs were slack, one arm hanging off the edge like a lazy pup, and he reeked of alcohol. Not just that—his scent had saturated the room. That damn coffee bean scent of his filled every breath I took, sharp and freshly roasted, sweet and stupidly comforting.

Today's mission: find my bike, doctor's orders be damned. My ribs still ached and my cheek had a heartbeat of its own, but that didn't matter. I just knew someone had taken it. And when I found them? Oh, they were going down. Bruised or not, they were gonna end up looking worse than I did.

"Hey!" an annoying voice called out.

Just my luck. Rebecca. No one should smell that bitter bitch at nine in the morning.
