The aggressive detective, Darius and I rushed through the station's hallways, before we burst into a large, imposing office that felt like it had been ripped straight out of Law and Order.
The atmosphere screamed power, with sleek, modern furnishings and a pristine putting green set up near the floor-to-ceiling windows. It was clear this office was more about projecting dominance than actual productivity.
When we entered, the attorney general was busy practicing his golf swing, his focus entirely on the arc of his club. He didn't even glance our way.
"May I-"
"I have your daughter's confession on tape and the news is reporting on it as we speak," I said quickly.
The attorney general froze mid-swing. His eyes snapped to meet mine, and his expression shifted, a hint of annoyance flashing on his face. He didn't seem to know about the livestream judging how calm he was, but my unexpected freedom was enough to catch his attention.
"Well?" he asked. Yeah he definitely doesn't know.
