Zachary widened his eyes in disbelief.

"Wait… wait, you have a son?". He was really confused. How old was she that she had a son.
Weren't her and Madeline the same age.
And besides, how old was son?
Madeline stared at him eyes wide "What's wrong with having a son?"
"No, nothing. I just…"
"Shhh" she quickly shushed him looking towards door. "Is he your person?"
"What?"
"There is someone outside" she whispered, "is he your person?"
"No, I sent them all away".
Madeline tiptoed as quietly as possible towards the door opening it with force.
An injured Damien stood with his eyes red and his stomach stained with blood. His wounds had opened but he didn't seem to care.
Immediately the door opened, his eyes brightened "Ruby…" he stretched his hands but couldn't hold up and fell towards her instead. Madeline quickly dodged.
Why was another pretty face trying to latch unto her?
